I'm officially trapped in this. There must be away out.
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Sunrisepebble: 1:55pm On Oct 17, 2024
I did allude to this happening in my previous posts. I think what has even made matters worse is the whole CSCS issue. Normally Aradel should not have listed on the Monday, should have taken t+3 to move all the holdings from NASD to NGX

Picked up NB rights on the exchange at a 10kobo premium. Might not be a bad one for those with patient capital once they sort out all the FX bouhaha

Relax. If you were a key player and privileged to insider information, would you rather buy at 1000 or 500? Allow them to play the game. They have attempted to hide it by splitting the purchases. Hence the high volume. A 100k volume will come in at that price it will station for another 10% drop. Wait it out.

No matter which day it was posted with all holdings moved from NASD to NGX; the stock still needs liquidity. Those afraid are "day traders". SM are selling in other to buy again at a cheaper price...

It would have raced down to N500 much faster than it is currently doing. I expect the volatility to ease out at around N500.

This is not entirely correct.
In a JV arrangement, each partner's ''production'' refers to its share of the total crude oil produced by the JV. Oando and ENI used to have 20% each while NNPC still maintains 60%
Hence, as far as Oando is concerned, the additional 20% acquired via the ENI deal effectively translates to a 100% increase in its ''production'' in the JV.
For example, if Oando was previously entitled to 20,000 barrels from 100,000 barrels, it is now entitled to 40,000 barrels; so its ''production'' now ''increases'' from 20,000 to 40,000 barrels.
In the absence of any other factors to the contrary, this could ordinarily translate into a potential 100% increase in revenue.
Again, it should be noted that Oando acquired other assets from ENI that were not under the JV arrangement, which could also translate to more revenue or production, in addition to what comes from the 40% in the JV..
This is correct. While the acquisition alone, without boosting production, will not add to Nigeria's output, it will add to Oando's. It moved from one producer in Nigeria (IOC) to another producer(indigenous), also in Nigeria.

You are obviously late to the party. There was a lot of back and forth on this matter and that fellow kept grandstanding on the obviously wrong figures quoted by the thisday article. Don’t waste your energy trying to resurrect a dead horse

Let's see if the TRANSPOWER offers come out tomorrow, and how high those who made that 100k single transaction want to go.

A fellow who doesn't know how to calculate annual returns or distinguish between drawdown and return over a period is talking about dead horses. You'd better make Google your friend. grin cheesy cheesy shocked
