seems so..... may be the purpose for quoting on NGX is to improve liquidity so that existing stockholders can cash out.... we just need to be more careful on NGX platform

The PO for Dangote Sugar was Monkey Hunting. But so many brokers praised it in the same way some praised Aradel and gave it a N1,200 valuation (NB: DS is a bigger MH than Aradel shocked) . Alhaji ripped off those that bought the Sugar IPO so don't mention because they are not Monkey Hunting. Aradel would have done the same on a lower scale than Alhaji, if not because of it's prior listing on NASD with many already in the know of the relatively bloated price.
we go all dey alright las las. lollllllllllllllllllllllllllllll

I don't know .I thought some people say it is possible in thr adverts for that sector. The only real estate I do is just to buy land and keep as an igbo man..lol
Capital appreciation is usually better than rental income in real estate. But, just like you look out for promising stocks, you need to look out for promising/undervalued real estate.

You are right about the 20%; you should not invest that much in any investment even when you think it is very good. Now, is the Oando reservoir of crude oil fake and based on hope? What is the worth of such a reservoir? What is its worth compared to debts owed? Can you answer these questions? If not, then why is your own opinion not based on hope?
I never mentioned any stock in my statement.

If it is in the most recent report it is not hope
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Blaqq2: 10:59am On Oct 24, 2024
I been no dey oo
I actually caught both oando and Access
but it was in bamboo so i had to sell and re purchase access with a capital morgan at @20 and UBA @25
waiting for oando to drop their statement first

yMcy56:
..but you were here when people were talking about UBA @22/23, ACCESS went as low as 18+ below right issue price, why not pick some?
TRANSPOWER @271
Even OANDO @70......even though this one na high risk stock......😊
MTNN @below 180...... preferably @175 and below
Also few other ones...

For UBA, you for don chop interim of N2, still come chop price appreciation self.

Market waiting for Q3 results anyway, keep monitoring for those with good numbers

Referring to Dangote Sugar that made a loss but released their result, compared to Oando that might have made a loss and didn't not release the result.

10 months after 2023 result is not out, 6 month 2024 is not out.
Monkey Hunting get different levels
If not because regulators stopped the merger, DS investors would have been further ripped off by over allocation of Dangote Food shares to Dangote Rice shocked

Very crucial additional questions:

1. What're the costs of getting those crude oil in reserves out?
2. How fast can they be gotten out?
3. Is the value of the crude oil guaranteed, on the long run, vis-a-vis
global crude oil demand?

No matter our(African) arguments, the crude oil demand by the major consumers (North America, Asia and Europe) is not looking bullish. And we can't force crude oil down their throats, eventually. Thank God for Dangote Refinery: at least, we should have some level of energy security.

So, are you suggesting that if the new oil reservoir acquisition from Agip, which we saw in 2024, wasn't mentioned in the 2023 reports, then it should be hope driven investing? Or am I misinterpreting your point?

Did you care to read the previous auditors comment about the going concern status?

That is the first thing I read before going through the financial.

A lot of information are in that small print, but most of us don't read it
That person just wants to 10-20X their money, they don’t care how it happens 😃. What’s their business with auditors? Eventually, we will all learn

Pls stop this bias...
It's the b.o.t that used to ban people indiscriminately..
I've been banned several times here....
Why did you think I created this Ymcy account aside the Mcy I was using before?
It was because of incessant ban that time, so I had to create Ymcy acct in addition to it.
Let's keep open mind pls.
If you continue to have this kind of mindset, it's wrong and not good for your health. 😊

But if you must invest based on hope, don't have more than 20% of your fund invested based on hope
I concur. For us traders we should trade what we can see not what we want to see. I sold all my Oando yesterday based on what I saw on the curve and its antecedents. Luckily I may be right this time.

@ Mercy

I opened an account with Atlas portfolio.
Their platform is not ok for my type of funding and withdrawing.

Gone are the days when one has to notify for payment made or request for withdrawal manually.

The DLM also has this type of funding and withdrawals.

I will finally settle for Stanbic or cardinalstone due to their robust platforms which is more favourable but will negotiate about fees as I have communicated with both firms for reduction of brokerage fees.

You should equally keep open mind on his post since he didn't say it was b.o.t.When I was banned here.My post whr deleted therefore mod still ban here

It is a fact that there has never been a single oil and gas upstream company in Nigeria's history which commands the quantum of oil and gas reserves that Oando has acquired, that has been declared bankrupt or liquidated because it was no longer a going concern!
Oando is having cashflow problems, but they have assets that are worth more than their total liabilities! How quickly they are able to generate the necessary liquidity to settle their liabilities is the challenge here!

That's in prior years?
The unaudited 2023 showed positive free cashflow after paying interest due on loans.
I suspect they may have poor bookkeeping practices. And or their new auditors are slow (thinking about your prior comments on how some audit frims are slow)

Mr Emmanuel,
You promoted Dangote sugar merger without the facts and even forecasted a price target of 125-200 naira both on this thread and Treasury bill thread. I am sure there are many members whom bought based upon your analysis. What informed your basis that the biz was worth that price? Dangote rice wasn’t even in business but you pushed the narrative it was worth a lot than the other combined entities.
The fact we are not in a stock doesn’t mean we should be against it. Even Aradel you pushed a valuation of #700, how did you arrive at such valuation?
Selective bias is okay but do well to make full disclosure.
