Truth be told, OANDO needs to sit up, a listed company with over N 1T market capitalization should not be having these type air about defaulting in scheduled reporting around them. We are talking about a multinational, highly capitalised company in one of the most established sectors in the world.

The management should start by firing the CFO and replace him with a professional who is ready for world/best-in-class standards.

Wale should just step down

What does it mean for a serial defaulting company like Oando if their shares are not trading? Probably not much. After all it took them 3 months to respond when they were last suspended by the JSE. But suppose Trinidad and Tobago are watching, and they say they don't want a company with such image running their refinery, that will get some attention.

I for write long Epistle about this Oando wahala yesterday but I slept off because we don't share same timezone...

If Oando will ever get it right Wale and his style of management has to change from what we use to know over the years (badtguys of NGX grin

) which I have said severally that I doubt him changing not now that he has Bulaba as his protection

Don't mind CBN Governor with his misleading information, he was asked Net-foreign reserve, he couldn't give the information. They said they will work on it and disclose it Q1 2025. I know the net will be negative figure. How can you be declaring assets and ignore the obligations?

But foreign reserve is foreign reserve. Obligations no join for the matter. Even the US is in a large negative. Let them keep building the foreign reserve. At least, it is a positive in one direction

I said I will not start my day here on O matter when village people no dey follow my matter.
O is better than aradel. The stock will show saplet shege pro max in the next 6 months. It will hit 5k plus and zoom pass saplet. This is the kind yeye talk they want to hear if you don't want them to hear or see no evil about your moniker
Never should I turn blind eye because I am involved in a stock even if my life depends on it.
My life can only be tired to God in everything I do so it is not even possible.

Great comment. If the CFO cannot maintain bookkeeping practices that can be audited quickly without back-and-forth delays, he or she should be replaced with a more competent person.

Maybe in the medium to long term. If they are not defending the naira, it could take sometime to show. Me think the exchange has been relatively stable for several months. At least to halt the rapid decline first before it start reversing

Foreign reserve is not what a country can lie about.
The best they can do is to play around the net reserve which exactly is what they are doing.
Yes reserve can be going up and the exchange rate will be deteriorating as long as the cbn is not ready to commit it's reserve to defend the naira.

A value stock is cheap, it is possible for a bad company to become cheap.

A quality company has good profit margin, good management, quality earnings, good management,good cash position but might be expensive by selling at a premium compared to other stocks in the sector.

A growth stock must have been increasing the earning by at 15% for the past 5 years

A growth stock might not be profitable, might not create value in the interim and might not called a quality stock

Foreign reserve is foreigh reserve as someone said. It is like a switch and it is transactional, it is either there as an amount or not whereas the exchange rate is neither a direct switch or transactional in nature, it is affected by several factors. The calculation and the reporting is not also at the same time.

If foreign reserve is increasing consistently for some time, and all others things are equal, the positive impact will be visible on the exchange rate and it will be stable and sustainable.
