Don't mind CBN Governor with his misleading information, he was asked Net-foreign reserve, he couldn't give the information. They said they will work on it and disclose it Q1 2025. I know the net will be negative figure. How can you be declaring assets and ignore the obligations?
Like a man shouting I have 40 million naira in my bank account when at the same time he has a debt of 100 million naira.

I think foreign reserves as a standalone number doesn't paint the picture of economic health. Some other numbers like annual FG FX Income and current FG FX debt need to be quoted along with it each time its quoted. And a trend of the three is needed.

He founded the company. He decides how things should go. Investors are free to sell their shares or start their own company grin.
Nigeria is still extremely under-developed and needs many more entrepreneurs to set up big businesses like Wale shocked.
Big businesses are good and the world needs the entrepreneurs. However, we need good/great entrepreneurs and not cowboys. Coyboys can run their private enterprises and choose to report whenever they like or not to report at all, it is private. If you list your company and you take money from the public, you must abide by the regulations in the best way possible.

What the world needs are people who have regards for established standards and order.

Reporting falls in the purvue of the CFO, if the CEO cannot get his CFO to do just that, then he should not be the CEO except he is the one stopping the CFO.

You can't be logical with emotional people, you can't be rational with sentimental people.

It is always better to play along by acting emotional and sentimental
Every human being is an emotional animal - fear, sadness, anger, disgust, surprise, amusement, gratitude, anticipation, contempt, enjoyment, love, pride, awe, envy, frustration, happiness, joy, shame, irritation, boredom, disappointment, empathy, calmness, doubt, delusion etc are all emotions.

Without emotion, man is nothing.

Founder nko foundee ni

But on a more serious note he can still be Wale without being actively involved in Oando stuff. Come to the West many founders of companies allow them to run without unnecessary influences...

Wale is a badt boi grin
At the last AGM in November shareholders like us asked questions and gave suggestions aimed at moving the business forward. That's all we can do. We can ask questions like, why are reports late or why should the CFO not be fired for late presentation of audited accounts etc grin.

The banking stocks remain the best due to the further layer of regulation done by the CBN.

Huge increase in revenue but flat performance in terms of PAT and eps.

Companies dey suffer for this country. Huge Admin expenses, cost of sale and distribution and finance cost.

I can't believe they are yet to finish the share reconstruction of TRANSCORP after two weeks. Are they doing it manually?

But foreign reserve is foreign reserve. Obligations no join for the matter. Even the US is in a large negative. Let them keep building the foreign reserve. At least, it is a positive in one direction
Wrong to compare with US that can print the $ as it pleases. If FG loans were all in Naira no wahala. If push comes to shove it will just print to pay bond owners. Not the same case with Naija and FX loans/reserves. Severe dislocations can be created if FX income just dries up. Like Crude oil price just dropping to $10

Those not in Presco already, I think this alongside naira depreciation are good signals for stellar Q3 and FY results.

I will rather go to a market square where the sound of my dancing feet can be heard than put my tent in the midst of battalions of drums speaking different tunes.

Those that understand this will translate this into their portfolio. Remember nah only you get the profit/loss of any investments you put in, so BE WISE!

NIGERIA never get strong institutions like Hedge Funds and the likes as we see in the US and other top-rated markets.

I for write long Epistle about this Oando wahala yesterday but I slept off because we don't share same timezone...

If Oando will ever get it right Wale and his style of management has to change from what we use to know over the years (badtguys of NGX grin) which I have said severally that I doubt him changing not now that he has Bulaba as his protection

Before you attack me just remember I get Oando but I dey do my own with sense because na GAMBLING THINGS 🤪 until I see wetin I dey look for about the COY
You have your good points.
I support the SEC decision to suspend trading in Oando's shares, at least to restore investors and stakeholders confidence. A particular company cannot just be flouting the rules without some consequences.
I think SEC took the decision partly because of a similar decision taken by the S/Africa stock exchange (when Oando failed to file), and also to send a clear message to Wale that he being the president's relative does not give him undue license to flout the rules of the market.
In fact, Wale will not have it easy if he should misbehave and have any case with SEC, because they already have records of prior issues like noncompliance, suspension, fines, court cases etc.
They will match him boot for boot if he should come up with any funny idea. This is one of the reasons why I decided to stay put in Oando, in spite of the rumours about delisting. SEC would give him a tough time and the final price (to delist) would not have been too favourable to Wale.
SEC still has an axe to grind with him and will use every opportunity to cut him to size.

They were my first brokers 26 years ago.
No internet to check price.
We will first be waiting for vendors to deliver Guardian and Vanguard newspapers from Lagos around 12 noon to see price list of the previous day to determine benchmark price to pay for stocks we wanted.
Next day you will come and be told price went up so you have balance to pay or your contract note will be withheld. angry
