We could talk about DIV from FY24 but definitely not FY23... wink
BabsO2:
Make Wale remember the question shareholders asked him about resumption of dividend payment and the answer he gave.

N1 dividend from the 2023 PAT and cashflow will be a good start and serve as a proof in the hands of shareholders that he as indeed turned the company around grin.

That's fine also.
But Wale paying something before 2024 Christmas is doable based on 2023FY audited if PAT and Cashflow doesn't change materially from the unaudited.
Make we see the auditor's opinion wey dey delay things.

For a country that needs its crude oil production numbers to be above 2 million barrels per day to stabilize its economy, it is surprising how people think that government policies will not favour the new local exploration firms purchasing assets of foreign ones. 🤔

Please allow Oando to breathe. This paralysis is choking. I am fully focused on 2025.

Merry Christmas in advance.

This is a very very very good sign grin
It's the review of the materiality of the new acquisition that causing the auditors to need more time.

So the CFO is okay. It's the complexity of additional acquisition that needs to be factored in that caused the delays plus the auditors needing extra time to assess the materiality of this additional information before concluding the audit opinion. Great grin

Hopefully the Oando rally will resume first week of November.
This egbon called Jubril and all these his deft and creative moves dey give people headache o! Na real wah! Why didn't the company release the information before getting a suspension from the NGX?

Their action looks like they tried to dissuade people from accessing the stock and garner interest into whatever they have to release to the public. 🤔

It also looks like the bew baby, Oando Clean Energy Limited will take advantage of those CNG buses the Federal and State Governments want to purchase in 2025. 🤔

Thank you Sir.
What of Seplat &, Aradel? I thought I heard someone mentioned they pay quarterly. I just want to confirm.
They both pay twice: interim and final.

Not saying DIV is assured for FY2024.
Although I believe that FY24 will be very good especially Q4.
Like I said recently, all the data we've been working with are for 2023... wink

Listen to the AGM again. Turnaround is not a promise but a completed milestone !!!!!.
He promised dividend. I already shared this before. Listen to the AGM again look at the transcript time below of his dividend promise.

Make we no missinform people on what he said or didn't say abeg. grin
"..... we will pay dividends in future...".
"....confident of being able to restart at the earliest....".

These statements are vague with no precise time-frame.

Best bet is still capital appreciation as someone said.

City Code Trust just won’t change na.
They were my first brokers 26 years ago.
No internet to check price.
We will first be waiting for vendors to deliver Guardian and Vanguard newspapers from Lagos around 12 noon to see price list of the previous day to determine benchmark price to pay for stocks we wanted.
Next day you will come and be told price went up so you have balance to pay or your contract note will be withheld. angry
Kai!
SEC address to report them if my money did not land on tuesday or wednesday?

Omo learning and experiencing are two different things o. In this bull period, you will get away with so many jagajaga moves. When serious school fees hit you, you go shout I am a chosen😂

A bull market is like gambling and winning 80% of the time. Your adrenaline go pump to all time high. You would think it's your brilliance that's winning you streaks. Let's enjoy it while it lasts though.

There is an anomaly in the Nigerian market mainly caused by the banks. Inflation and high interest rates are supposed to bring the market down. However, our banks appear to be round-trip ping treasury bills and Forex. As long as the rates are high, maybe they can maintain this level but some are already showing weakness. I suspect that when the earning realities set in, banks will lead the bear, hopefully from Q1 next year.

Before then sha, I am expecting a violent Xmas bull to cap the bull. If it happens, to your tent O' Israel😂

Another reason why I am looking for brokers that offer huge discount fees.

Did you consider their charges before choosing them.choose wisely now to save money.

Cardinal stone 1.44% all charges
Stanbic 1.13%
Atlas portfolio arnd 0.85%
Investment one 1.8%
Meristem 1.8%

The first 2 are the top brokers in Nigeria and where I am heading to.....
Fundings and withdrawals are as simple as Abc

Investment one has a good platform.Funding and withdrawals are very simple but their charges are high 1.8% buy and 2.1% sell.
Thank you so much for your response.

They have nothing to fear SEC for if their license has been withdrawn. I would advise you just visit their office and display little madness.

@Ucheson2, I noticed improvement in NPF MFB's q3 2024 result. Moreover, they seem to be more consistent with numbers this year than in the past. I need to see their audited 2024 as well as q1 2025 results to be able to make a proper decision about the coy.

grin grin... God will save me when the bears come... Hopefully e no go catch me grin grin. To be candid, I'm not used to seeing banking stocks trading this high. As at when I started, UBA was 6.80, GTB and Zenith, 15 & 17 or so while Access was like 9 naira, FBN 10.10, Fidelity 4naira... So when the bull came, and everything started flying up... Fear catch me to buy o... Like what if it crashes for my head. So I can say I caught a glimpse of the bear (although the end of it) but was still observing the market as at then. As price no gree come down, I kuku jumped in... grin grin
