latiephwald:Your skill in carpentry is eligible for the UK skilled worker visa, your focus is to look for UK companies with sponsorship license, recruiting carpenters/joiners from outside the UK. This thread is for students, so we don't get to derail it. |

IMO, intending students should declare any previous visa refusals during the admission application or CAS issuance stage. I know of two individuals whose UK student visa applications were rejected on grounds unrelated to previous visa denials. Despite this, their universities withheld their deposits, citing non-disclosure of prior visa refusals. For context, these students were denied UK student visas because they failed to convince the Entry Clearance Officer (ECO) of their genuine intent to study during their virtual interviews. Their refusal letters clearly outlined this reason, yet the universities continued to justify keeping their deposits based on the non-disclosure of previous visa refusals. So if you decide to hold-out on that info from the universities , just know that If your visa application is denied for any reason (even unrelated to past refusals) these universities could potentially use non-disclosure as a pretext to retain your deposit. P.S- These past visa refusals weren’t even for the UK but for other countries. With just a passport number, universities can run an immigration check and viola! Ur money e haf go!!!!! There are schools that would still issue you admission offers/ CAS even if you declare past visa refusals. KingDeity: |

justwise:You can’t apply directly to university of hull London campus, you have to go through an agent, there’s no portal to do the application yourself so an agent is what the school will refer you to for the London campus |

Zamorano14:Insurance? Registration fees? All my yrs in the UK as a student i have never heard of Insurance and registration fees, Students don't pay insurance here and you don't pay to register, contact the university directly to find out about these fees. |

Yes the school admission team has been mailed for clarity. Insurance fee is not mandatory though, but that registration fee is what’s shocking. And yes I chose University of hull London campus because they accept HND holders |

Go though the university admission page thoroughly. Especially international application country by country. You should find the list and contact number of the agents for your country. |

Zamorano14:I will strongly recommend that you look for another university that will accept HND , you will definitely find one, and I will also encourage you to look for school outside London unless you are loaded financially, London is very expensive city. Again I repeat this.. there is nothing like registration fees and insurance when it comes to the UK admission. The IHS fee you will pay during your visa application is your insurance and it covers you throughout your stay in the UK. Do not allow any agent to defraud you. |

Is it okay for CV submitted for admission to be edit for visa application by omitting areas of work experience where he couldn't get a reference letters. An agent said his CV must be part of the uploaded document. Although is also uploading his study gab explanation letter... Asking for a friend! |

Technically, a CV as a standalone document is not required for a student visa application. For a CV to be relevant in a student visa application, it should be submitted alongside the evidence of the applicant's employment history for ease of cross referencing by the case worker. A detailed study gap letter alongside the corresponding documents to validate the claims in the letter should be fine as support documentation for the study gap. BigshotAsola5: |

offwego:Thanks.... Should the study gap letter still carries the address of the school just as it was submitted to school or the address should be removed before using it for visa application... Thanks for the quick response.. |

So, i am not quite sure why a study gap letter was required as part of the documentation for a university admission application. Typically, a CV is required for a university admission application. However, if you have submitted a study gap letter to your institution as part of your admission process and wish to submit the same letter for your visa application, you may update the address to reflect the intended audience.
