Continuing with the improvement in quote.

Working capital improved from negative N817 billion in 2022 to negative N1.63 Trillion in 2023, based on the body language of the auditors it must have improved to over negative N2 Trillion by the end of 2024.

The equity also improved tremendously from negative N197 billion in 2022 to negative N267 billion in 2023, from the body language of the auditor it might improve to over N300 billion by the end of 2024

It is a wonderful performance, the return on equity also experienced great improvement.

I have a fair value of N150 for the stock
Why are you silent about Dangote Sugar, which you also praised and promoted here, while Oando seems to be such a big issue for you? Both companies currently have negative equity. Of course, you’re entitled to your opinion.

Some people have already made more profit on Oando, with its price moving from 10 to 80, than you have with Aradel at its current price, no be juju be that? shocked shocked shocked

Nice one.
Indeed, only the discerning ones will key into the huge opportunities revealed in the Oando result, especially in the midst of reactionary, bad belle MH analysis by some angry folks!

I’ve already pointed out the loans Oando secured in 2024. With all the negativity you’re presenting, how do you explain Oando’s ability to secure over 1.3 billion USD in 2024 alone? Are you suggesting there’s some kind of conspiracy, or that the NAOC assets are merely audio?

Who would have been patient to read the Koko of the matter on page 92, if not from the auditors report that mentioned note 49 which can be found on page 92.

Rather it was the profit after tax of N60 billion that was highlighted

A major information of this nature ought to be in the first 5 pages of the report

Because Oando is a religion stock with many faithfuls and worshippers.

And Dangote Sugar always released their results at the appropriate time, did not wait till the stock wss suspended before they released their results and they are not been hyping their stories on social media, so that informed insiders will gradually sell their shares to uninformed retail investors
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by megawealth01: 8:01am On Nov 02, 2024
Sarcasm... I feel the former auditor would have painted the correct picture in white and black. Oando is in a really bad state anyways but we go use salt chop am like that grin

Remember, before the NAOC acquisition news, there was little interest in Oando. It was only after the acquisition that the hype kicked into full throttle. Yet, according to you, the NAOC acquisition has no impact. Why is that? Please enlighten me.

Banks won't mind if the company continues to work for them, banks and insiders are playing a different game compared to the game retail investors play

In all these almost N200 billion went to banks as finances costs and about N24 billion went to workers as staff expenses and it has been increasing almost every year referring to what banks and insiders make

Na shareholders never get dividends in about 10 years.

Insiders who are major shareholders holders are getting juicy benefits sha.

Na you go decide if you have the temperament to be a long term holder in that type of scenario

Your arguments seem to be going in circles. First, you claimed Oando is like Enron, suggesting it’s presenting misleading numbers and heading for a crash. Now, you’ve acknowledged that they’re generating returns for investors. So, which is it?"

Banks are higher on the food chain, banks are not investors they are lenders.

Shareholders are the last on the food chain.

And might not have any crumb to feed on.

I think I am done with you on this matter.

You know there were people who made a lot of money in the then NSE in 2006 - 2008 on companies that didn't even have an office. Just from the euphoria and sentiment of the market. Obviously there are those who are here just to make money anyhow, and the quickest is through sentiments. But I have observed that there are also those who want to learn to professionally analyze companies and results. And it is through those later group that future professional investors may emerge. I think we should allow such people to analyze these results and learn from each other. If the sentiment people don't like what they are saying just scroll down. Others maybe learning from them.
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Agbalowomeri: 8:38am On Nov 02, 2024
Knowing Wale, that they didn't release 2024 quarterly results together means nothing much to expect from them.

Oando will go the way of NB and IB. The current shareholders will end up with 5% of the company after fundraising. As Una no accept delisting😂

That’s the point—analyzing the results objectively, without bringing in biases from past failures. I analyze results here too, and I presented Oando objectively, clearly showing that the negative trends from its past may have shifted with new evidence. If you didn’t notice that, then you may be biased as well.

Oando Q3 and Q4 2024 will tell us the current situation of the company based on the naoc acquisition and Oando being the operator of the asset. FYI, production has increased in one month Oando started operating the asset.

Only time will tell. I am fully seated for long term with an average cost of 18. I am not buying more and will only sell if the price gets to 25 naira.

I have always said it that the current holders will have 10% or thereabout when the business is recapitalized.

I think the rot in the company is deeper than what the auditors wrote.

The former auditor who resigned probably because of their reputation would have done a better job as per the current state of the business.

Well wetin I Sabi, I am not an accountant but just a graduate of Biological science, but I get small experience in this business

It seems like you bend things to suit your view when it’s convenient. Banks are investors. A company obtains funding in two ways: debt and equity, and both are forms of invested capital.

I don't assume or label anyone as biased. To do that will mean I have a "confirmation bias". Which means not accepting any view point that doesn't agree with my own. If I am like that then I won't be on NSEMPA. Because being here means I am looking to learn and be informed.

If Oando is dead, no lender or investor will sink in millions of dollars, they are seeing the potential. At least the auditor still reported things the way it is based on 2023 financials.

There is something different going on in Oando that might turn things around. What is DS currently doing to turn their only situation around?

We have business and we have stocks.

A business might be doing badly and the stock is doing well.

Some businesses are on life support and are currently in the Intensive Care Unit.

Such businesses will need to undergo corporate surgical operation.

Then injections of capital to stabilize the business

Always good to consider the current financial health status of a business when you invest in them, with this you will hardly lose money as a long term investor.

That was what saved me from the defunct Intercontinental bank, Oceanic bank, Afribank and Skye Bank.

The problem of with this Religion stock is more than 10 years. I reluctantly sold all my holdings in the company in 2014 at an average cost price of almost N25 and I thank God for what I have done with the proceeds 10 years after
