Don't fall in love with a stock jare especially if the stock price does not make sense, the financial health is in shambles or management is not sincere.
This is what I said then and keep saying about Oando but I get loved if I talk well of Oando but attack if I say otherwise... It's called double mouth grin
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by BabsO2(m):

It came down to N200 few years after it was admitted to NASD.
That means early birds had a much lower entry point than the equivalent 2013 NASD N17.5 listing price of a share currently sold now on NGX, for the price to have fallen as low as N10 equivalent. A question is how many shares were exchanged at N200 (equivalent of N10 per split shares) currently selling on NGX. That's a x70 bagger for those that bought the low and sold immediately on NGX listing. And the x70 excludes dividends already collected shocked.

If rate of ARADEL NASD listing drop repeated on NGX it translates to a low of approx N430 in NGX. Traded price on Friday close was N445.6 Looks like a repeat is likely. Perhaps with a higher depth of drop as NGX is more liquid.

The major seller provided dollar denominated loan to the company.

The loan was converted to shares in 2018 at N500.

I thought they were mad because it was selling for less than that on NASD, should be less than N300 then.

We can say their post stock split cost was about N25
The major seller selling at N750 multiplied their money by x30 shocked
Selling at N500 they multiplied by x20 shocked
That excludes dividends already collected. However these multiples are lower in dollar terms

Where can I get this chart or reading bro?
I use Morgan’s daily stock updates, where each stock has a column showing its value in Naira for each trading day. You can compile these values over months or years. I typically use Python, but feel free to use Excel or any other method that works best for you.

Nobody is paid to analyze stock on Nairaland, this is a public space where people share their views and opinions.

We are all expected to carry out our due diligence and not do "follow follow".

OGG has a paid platform for stock picks and analyses, OGG is bound to give sell and buy signals to the subscribers on his platform.

By the way I still have Aradel and hopes to buy more as the price falls
Beautiful reply. You owe nobody anything. Nobody is paying for the services. And I have not seen anyone sharing the money they made with anyone here too

Dangsugar deteriorating health was in public domain, reason you started selling without alerting the newbies who might be trapped as a result of your recommendation.

You have made more than 40 posts on Oando in less than a week, it's becoming stale, irritating and childish if you ask me.
why don't you jump and pass his post.Is the thread your property now

The closest thing to witchcraft is programming. Do you know that to process over 1,000 PDF files downloaded daily from Morgan's email correspondence will take only 2 minutes tops? I write a program that scans the contents of each file, extracts all the relevant data, and compiles and stores each stock separately.

From there, you can perform any analysis you can imagine and plot any chart you desire.

Like they say here you don’t need all this to make money; just basic math skills from JSS1 are enough. But I love playing with data, and that’s why I do it. shocked shocked shocked

I'm trying to understand you.

If a call was made for DANGSUGAR at ₦20.
Whoever heed that call will be sitting on at least 50% profit today...

Let's stop these personal attacks. It is negative for the progress of current members and future members of this thread... smiley

Everyone is welcome; programming and data analysis skills have now become the new basics in schools and workplaces.

Just as everyone can now operate phones and computers with complex commands, programming is being democratized.

If you have younger children in good schools, these skills are part of their basic curriculum. Soon, everyone will practice 'witchcraft.'

What do you really think is the problem with sugar.i was not expecting this further decline. Is this the kind of result we would have gotten if thr marger went ahead. Do you think alhaji integrity is becoming questionable. How can cost of sales swallow all the revenue like kilode. Why is the backward integration not making impact.

Same thing is happening to Nestle, Guinness, Nigeria Brewery and other businesses, they might get out of it but I don't have the patience my maximum waiting period for a deteriorating financial health is 2 quarters although I waited to see a turnaround in Oando for 2 years between 2013 and 2014

This is wrong, brother. He called it at around 20, along with many other people. I also called it at 25, and after a couple of months, it reached almost 80. Why didn’t you sell and book your profits?

Besides, I’ve noticed that our Ogas avoid negative comments, except when it comes to Oando. They won’t openly discuss poorly performing stocks that they once praised. I know it’s not just MH at the heart of the Oga, but it feels like MH. Now he only has 50,000 units in his possession, while the 'follow-follow' people hold hundreds of thousands of units, suffering excruciating pain under these 'Tpain' policies. shocked shocked shocked

Please next time you sell shares like Dangotesugar after talking well of it please alert people that may have joined based on the good they heard about the company from you. Now many got trapped in DS thinking you are there, not knowing you had exited at good profit point. Sunripebble alerted he took profit in Aradel. Should it happen, please do alert us before taking some profits in Aradel or at least immediately after taking some profit and not months after. So that people can benefit and not assume you that marketed Aradel management is still fully with load of shares in the bus.
I don't think it's the place of @emmanuelewumi or anyone that give a buy alert to later explain why they decided to sell. Going all the way to analyse stock data and provide a free buy advice should be commended. Whoever took such alert advice should also understand why they bought into the stock, and if that reason is no longer valid, they should do the needful rather than waiting for anyone to provide a sell alert/advice again.

This is becoming a personal attack against Oando... Hope you don't have a personal grudge against this stock.

Anyway Oando of 3years ago is not same as 2024. Oando currently enjoys a lot of preference and also its recent acquisitions has placed it in a vantage point.

The books might not reflect the progress right now but the future seem very bright for at least till 2031 when its main sponsor (President Tinubu) leaves office.

For now let's enjoy the #1 performing stock on the NGX.
I cannot agree less with you. The old @emmanuelewumi that I knew "talked" less; he shared his opinion with a few posts, after which you either took it or left it. His recent posts on OANDO may have more to do with personal vendetta.

He has every right to speak to Oando in whatever manner he likes. The Dave2011 guy needs to calm down.

But for me, if my company starts making profit and I sit on 73% share of the company, I should be marketing to prospective investors and pitching future value to them. Equity all the way.

Please don't let us discourage Pa Emma or anyone from analysing any stock.

There are many silent members, guests and newbies who are learning one or two things from both sides of the divide.

Personally I learnt new ways of looking at financial report from the way Pa Emma interpreted Oando results.

Since this is a public forum and no one is paying for any service. Let us learn to choose the people we follow their comments and those we won't.

If they still have cashflow, they just need to accelerate their sugar cane farms. And stop guzzling FX yanfu yanfu to import raw sugar from Brazil. Perhaps they prefer to guzzle forex than farm here in Nigeria sad The forex guzzling era is gone.

Planted sugar cane typically takes 12 to 16 months to mature from planting to harvesting. The exact time can vary depending on factors like climate, soil conditions, and the specific variety of sugar cane.

Depending on the current volume of raw sugar the Dangote Sugar invested farms produce and how much cultivation is ongoing. DS should be able to recover in less than 16 months I guess.

Don't get me wrong, Oga Emma. You're a great guy! Many are learning from your educative contributions here; but I'm simply worried that you dwelt much on reason(s) why OANDO is not a viable stock. Make your opinion known with few posts and move on.
