emmanuelewumi:That means early birds had a much lower entry point than the equivalent 2013 NASD N17.5 listing price of a share currently sold now on NGX, for the price to have fallen as low as N10 equivalent. A question is how many shares were exchanged at N200 (equivalent of N10 per split shares) currently selling on NGX. That's a x70 bagger for those that bought the low and sold immediately on NGX listing. And the x70 excludes dividends already collected If rate of ARADEL NASD listing drop repeated on NGX it translates to a low of approx N430 in NGX. Traded price on Friday close was N445.6 Looks like a repeat is likely. Perhaps with a higher depth of drop as NGX is more liquid. |

emmanuelewumi:The major seller selling at N750 multiplied their money by x30 Selling at N500 they multiplied by x20 That excludes dividends already collected. However these multiples are lower in dollar terms |

emmaodet:I use Morgan’s daily stock updates, where each stock has a column showing its value in Naira for each trading day. You can compile these values over months or years. I typically use Python, but feel free to use Excel or any other method that works best for you. The closest thing to witchcraft is programming. Do you know that to process over 1,000 PDF files downloaded daily from Morgan's email correspondence will take only 2 minutes tops? I write a program that scans the contents of each file, extracts all the relevant data, and compiles and stores each stock separately. From there, you can perform any analysis you can imagine and plot any chart you desire. Like they say here you don’t need all this to make money; just basic math skills from JSS1 are enough. But I love playing with data, and that’s why I do it. |

I'm trying to understand you. If a call was made for DANGSUGAR at ₦20. Whoever heed that call will be sitting on at least 50% profit today... Let's stop these personal attacks. It is negative for the progress of current members and future members of this thread... ![]() Dave2011: |

Streetinvestor2:Everyone is welcome; programming and data analysis skills have now become the new basics in schools and workplaces. Just as everyone can now operate phones and computers with complex commands, programming is being democratized. If you have younger children in good schools, these skills are part of their basic curriculum. Soon, everyone will practice 'witchcraft.' |

emmanuelewumi:What do you really think is the problem with sugar.i was not expecting this further decline. Is this the kind of result we would have gotten if thr marger went ahead. Do you think alhaji integrity is becoming questionable. How can cost of sales swallow all the revenue like kilode. Why is the backward integration not making impact. |

Dave2011:This is wrong, brother. He called it at around 20, along with many other people. I also called it at 25, and after a couple of months, it reached almost 80. Why didn’t you sell and book your profits? Besides, I’ve noticed that our Ogas avoid negative comments, except when it comes to Oando. They won’t openly discuss poorly performing stocks that they once praised. I know it’s not just MH at the heart of the Oga, but it feels like MH. BabsO2:I don't think it's the place of @emmanuelewumi or anyone that give a buy alert to later explain why they decided to sell. Going all the way to analyse stock data and provide a free buy advice should be commended. Whoever took such alert advice should also understand why they bought into the stock, and if that reason is no longer valid, they should do the needful rather than waiting for anyone to provide a sell alert/advice again. ![]() |

His words emmanuelewumi:He has every right to speak to Oando in whatever manner he likes. The Dave2011 guy needs to calm down. But for me, if my company starts making profit and I sit on 73% share of the company, I should be marketing to prospective investors and pitching future value to them. Equity all the way. Please don't let us discourage Pa Emma or anyone from analysing any stock. There are many silent members, guests and newbies who are learning one or two things from both sides of the divide. Personally I learnt new ways of looking at financial report from the way Pa Emma interpreted Oando results. Since this is a public forum and no one is paying for any service. Let us learn to choose the people we follow their comments and those we won't. SELAH. |

emmanuelewumi:If they still have cashflow, they just need to accelerate their sugar cane farms. And stop guzzling FX yanfu yanfu to import raw sugar from Brazil. Perhaps they prefer to guzzle forex than farm here in Nigeria The forex guzzling era is gone. Planted sugar cane typically takes 12 to 16 months to mature from planting to harvesting. The exact time can vary depending on factors like climate, soil conditions, and the specific variety of sugar cane. Depending on the current volume of raw sugar the Dangote Sugar invested farms produce and how much cultivation is ongoing. DS should be able to recover in less than 16 months I guess. |

emmanuelewumi:Don't get me wrong, Oga Emma. You're a great guy! Many are learning from your educative contributions here; but I'm simply worried that you dwelt much on reason(s) why OANDO is not a viable stock. Make your opinion known with few posts and move on. ![]() |
