I use Morgan’s daily stock updates, where each stock has a column showing its value in Naira for each trading day. You can compile these values over months or years. I typically use Python, but feel free to use Excel or any other method that works best for you.

The closest thing to witchcraft is programming. Do you know that to process over 1,000 PDF files downloaded daily from Morgan's email correspondence will take only 2 minutes tops? I write a program that scans the contents of each file, extracts all the relevant data, and compiles and stores each stock separately.

From there, you can perform any analysis you can imagine and plot any chart you desire.

Like they say here you don’t need all this to make money; just basic math skills from JSS1 are enough. But I love playing with data, and that’s why I do it. shocked shocked shocked
The program sir, can you share..?

This is what I said then and keep saying about Oando but I get loved if I talk well of Oando but attack if I say otherwise... It's called double mouth grin
Oando's Turnover FY2023: Unaudited (Draft) Accounts vs Final Audited Accounts

When Oando's FY2023 unaudited accounts were released earlier in the year around Jun2024, the turnover was reported as N3.4trillion. However, in the final audited accounts released, the turnover was reduced to N2.98trillion.
Therefore, there is a difference of about N400billion..
If the 400bn had been recognized (or maintained) in FY2023, the profit after tax would have been N460b, all things being equal.

I am suspecting that the difference might have been reclassified as deferred or unearned income.
If this is true, then it means the N400b would be probably recognized/realized as additional income in the FY2024 accounts, thereby boosting the results and performance for 2024.

Over to you all experts and Finance/investment gurus in the house.
Please go call @Bovali et al as we need their analyses now.

Now I see why they have been rushing UBA. I just dey compare the fugaz result since morning. If UBA had done what Gtco did to their result, UBA would have been the leader in PAT and EPS.

But make I finish compare their respective OS after capital raising before I decide how to rebalance
Disclaimer: I dey all the fugaz. This is monkey hunting if you want to see it that way. Always do your own research.

Based on the auditors comments, it looks more like the assumptions (or bookkeeping) that supported N3.4T revenue was challenged so was the cost of sales challenged as that reduced from N3.33T to N2.76T
Also note that the Gross Profit between Unaudited and audited increased from N75 to N85b
Thus forget about N400b showing up. '@Bovali has already given us her take. Look through the long thread from Friday evening.

Great job! Thanks.
I have not had the chance to go through the audited accounts

The program sir, can you share..?
Yes, but it's personal code and you probably won't understand it as it lacks comments. In fact, I wrote this in 2020 and never bothered to make any updates since it works. There are 3 scripts in there:

1. The first script takes the PDF from the downloads folder (after downloading from email) and moves it to a folder where I keep the Morgan's daily PDFs.

2. The second script renames the PDF and adds the date based on the date within the PDF.

3. The third script does the main work - it stores the data for each stock in CSV format. So every day, after running these 3 scripts, it will find the CSV belonging to each stock, update it, and save.

Once you have CSV files with daily data, you can call them in other scripts to do whatever analysis you want.

Important notes:
- You'll need packages already installed like matplotlib and PyPDF4, etc.
- You may need to create a text file with the same title as specified in the program for day tracking (to avoid entering the same day more than once)

These are the things I can remember. Or when I have time, I could make it into a standalone executable. Like I said, it works, so I don't bother with improvements. Alternatively, you can build your own from scratch using parts of my code as guidelines.

Fair warning: The code is messy. Don't say I didn't warn you!

This is wrong, brother. He called it at around 20, along with many other people. I also called it at 25, and after a couple of months, it reached almost 80. Why didn’t you sell and book your profits?

Besides, I’ve noticed that our Ogas avoid negative comments, except when it comes to Oando. They won’t openly discuss poorly performing stocks that they once praised. I know it’s not just MH at the heart of the Oga, but it feels like MH. Now he only has 50,000 units in his possession, while the 'follow-follow' people hold hundreds of thousands of units, suffering excruciating pain under these 'Tpain' policies. shocked shocked shocked
Mate, I didn't and presently have no single unit of Dangsugar, please get this right. I knew about his posts on Dangsugar but never acted on recommendations of such as I have my investment goals.

If you care to know, I have robust portfolio which comprises GTCO which I got at BE 19.81, Zenith Bank at BE 22.05, UBA at BE of 8.05, Access Bank at 19, Presco at BE 220, Okomu, WAPCO at BE 24, MTN, etc.

I also have fixed income investments.

It became worrisome when someone of his repute(check my first reaction to him) had more than 40 posts on a particular stock in less than 1 week, haba!

Enjoy your weekend.

I don't blame them they have their reputation to protect.

Even after E & Y, Oando could not get another big 5 to audit their account and had to appoint BDO
Your concerns and efforts are appreciated. We need this kind of opinions that you espouse for us to have enriched discussions and education about the market.
But I would advise that you avoiding falling into the trap of discrediting everything and everybody that is associated with Oando.
BDO is a credible and competent audit firm. Most of their guys had worked at the Big 4 or Big 5 audit firms, and only moved to other firms like BDO for better conditions of service. Again, BDO audits other reputable companies listed on the NGX who have no accounting or audit or managerial issues whatsoever.
Remember, what we call Deloitte Touche Nigeria today is actually reaping from the fruits, hard work and competence of a local audit firm called Akintola Williams.

Exactly what I'd concluded, wanted to even post before now that he should resolve any personal issue he has with Wale with him on personal ground and not necessarily venting his anger here.

Funny enough, anyone that tries to make contrary post to his own is immediately tagged as "trying to silence him from educating them".

Very difficult to convince Pa Emma on contrary views to his.

No need for double standard here!
