Raider76:I recall my post above on people bullish on Aradel. This was when it was above 600. I still believe it got highly over priced at NASD due to the tremendous level market sentiment created. The issue of the uncertainty surrounding the proposed acquisition of Shell assets alone should make one cautious of the stock. Even though of recent there are indications of wavering on the part of government, probably showing the level of lobbying, and "Ejoor Sir", going on. You wonder how a regulator that withheld consent because they assessed the companies acquiring the assets as incapable of managing the assets will now say they are reconsidering. Can the companies acquire that competency overnight? |

yMcy56:Auditors need to start querying what companies are reporting as cost of sales. In so many of the results released since last week, you see cost of sales/operating cost eating up over 90% of company's revenue. |

To be honest gross margins on oil & gas businesses are slim. They make money from volume. GeeKudi: |

Agbalowomeri:Check the 3rd&4th columns (Group : six months to Jun2024/2023): The PAT is N62b for Jun2024, although N112b for Jun2023 Recall, PAT for whole of FY2023 was N60b. Oando may be making gradual progress, after all. This is not to encourage anyone to go and buy. Kindly ignore my posts on Oando if you will, or necessary. |

Look at investment over a period of 5 years and above to determine if you have made money from the investment. Seplat was N600 in 2018 and even came down to N300 over the years, the company paid dividends 4 times. Nahco was listed at N5, it came down to N2 sef over the years, we all know the current stock price of Nahco snd the company never missed dividend payments since it was listed over 20 years. Presco and Okomu were listed at N5, both never missed dividend payment since they were listed. Let us go back in time to 1999, Nestle was N20 in 1999, Unipetrol (nos known as Oando) was over N40 in 1999. Nestle rose to over N1000, never missed dividend payments. Although Nestle is currently having challenges at least shareholders have made their money back in multiple folds. Compared to the other one that could not pay dividends for decades. And shareholders funds was wiped off This post is addressed to investors and not speculators |

A stock can move from N5 to N80 within a year, but if the business is not growing and creating value it might come down to N2 in 10 years or lose your investment Another stock can fall from N20 to N8 within a year but if the business is growing and creating value it might come up to N300 in 10 years Behind every stock there is a business, find out how the business is doing.
