Cardinal stone pumping the stock on behalf of Tony
Nothing like pumping a good stock. UBA is grossly undervalued based on its fundamentals and results. Most shareholders would be happy to take up their full rights

Africa Prudential is the registrar not Cardinal stone (issuing house)
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Sunrisepebble: 10:26pm On Nov 05, 2024
In a sane country what UBA and Cardinal stone have done would be investigated. They submitted blank price to sec but notified them of intent to do a rights issue, pumped the stock to their desired price to allow for lowest level of shares dilution, then submitted desired price to NGX after close of trading

Sunrisepebble:
At present they have notified SEC of their intent to do RI and instead of making a mistake like Accessco i.e a price that is at premium to Secondary market (although it was successful and fully subscribed) they have tested the waters with a blank RI price to SEC. More info soon

Although I no too like the core investor, but Conoil never missed dividend payment from 2002 to date, even though it will be paid in October or November which is 10 to 11 months after their business year.

Some of us have watch how the stock grew from N20 to the current price at a time when the other stock was selling at two and half to three times the market price of Conoil.
I remembered when I had this stock at 16 naira and couldn't wait to sell at 20 naira . It seems people that make money in stock investing are those that do not sell their stocks. I am new to investing, but I saw the mtn at 97, fbn, acc, uba at 4 - 5 naira, DS at 11.

Follow-follow without growing in knowledge in this market na highway to winning big and losing all. After many years of amassing money in the market, it will be time for children to inherit everything.

1. If your approach has been to follow the money and follow the picks on NSEMPA without knowledge, where would those children go to for picks?

2. With what knowledge, how will they manage the inheritance? Gamble all in the market?
Hmmm.. Fixed!!

Sorry to intrude sir, in this present age, why do you need your broker to buy on your behalf?

Some of you don't understand that there are lots of old and analogue people on this thread, even people in their 70s are here; and they are not adaptable to new technologies.

Welcome to a new week.
Watch out for insurance stocks this week.

MANSARD will deliver at least 20% this week

Cornerstone

Prestige.

Also watch out for Cileasing,livestock

Transcorp
,oando,wapco,uacn,Unilever etc.
I will say investors you take caution with livestock.
It is trading at her or close to her 52 weeks high.
I am bearish about her Q4 result to be lower in revenue and eps from my past experience in that industry.
From experience, animal farming companies likestock make more profit in Q3 due to price of all feed milling materials to be highest or most expensive then.
The maize, soya beans meal, GNC ( groundnut cakes) are all expensive from April to July when the companies make most of their revenue and profits because they mostly stock this materials from September to December when they are cheapest thereby making max profits in July.
If you look at livestock chart, historically it is always down January to march and start picking up April.
Maize last December was 40/45k per 100kg compared to 80/90k in June/July. So other materials.
So, preferably it's best selling the stock now to enter Dec/Jan to dump July/august.
Rinse and repeat

I didn’t make an error when I said Cardinal Stone. I spoke with a trader, it was them moving the stock. If I misused the word pump, It’s an unethical manipulation of the share price

Though UBA is currently more underpriced than Zenith or GTCO, its CBN mandated capital raise need to be priced closer to Zenith for several reasons.

In 2007 the public offer prices for the banks were
UBA N35.00 (rights was N34)
Zenith N38.90 (rights was N36.90)
FB N33.00 (rights was N31)
ACCESS N14.90
Fidelity N8:00
FCMB N14:00

2023 FY and 2024Q1 Book Values per share
UBA N57.37 & N73.81
Zenith N73.95 & N90.61
FB N47.88 & N52.53
ACCESS N42.34 & N **(looks lower than many quote)
Fidelity N13.67 & N14.6
FCMB N19.4 & N 22.62

Looking at earnings per share UBA, Access, Zenith and GTCO are competing strongly with Zenith in the lead and UBA attempting to drag position with GTCO. But I guess investors will place premiums on consistent dividend payout and growth. Zenith and GTCO are leading here.
I made this earlier post on 23SEP based on 2024 Q1 numbers available back then for the banks.

Interesting seeing the bet come to pass so quickly. UBA capital raise will happen close to that of Zenith as predicted.

That stingy back will in no distant time outshine UBA that is manipulating their share price for right issues. Let's see how they will sustain it.

I am one of them in that category,I hadly sell potential stocks that I know will grow into a good paying dividend....,I only sell when I really need liquid funds. It is a cash flow that has helped me over the years.

Please compare the two book values per share for common NGX shareholder and you will see UBA is a far ahead. Already ahead of GTCO but behind Zenith. UBA is also ahead in EPS and CIPS.

Not unique at all.
Too much detail in the public space that could affect investor confidence.
