I think there is a serious battle going on for the soul of UBA. That thing is struggling for balance between two very strong opposing forces.

Oando at AEW 2024: Powering Africa’s Future

To create a thriving oil and gas industry in Africa, we need to build a vibrant environment that supports growth and sustainability.

As our Managing Director, Dr. Ainojie ‘Alex’ Irune, @airune, explained during his session at #AEW2024 (@Real_AEW), “The only way value stays on the continent is if indigenous players acquire these assets. By increasing local activity and fostering collaboration, we can reduce the high costs of operations, attract essential skills and equipment, and drive development within the region.”

When indigenous operators are empowered, we create jobs, build expertise, and strengthen the economy. At Oando, we are committed to ensuring that Africa’s energy resources benefit Africans.

The market should be bullish for the O&G stocks e.g. Conoil, MRS, Seplat etc
Oando's suspension and some mix-up about its results are some causes of its dragging down.

He go hard for Tony to maintain the 35 price, although he meant well because the price (35) would allow for less dilution.

but the thing hard no be small

Yeah. Looks like there is are deliberate efforts by some forces to frustrate this. It's so massive.

I think the N35 price for RI is a little bit high....
I was expecting something like btw 25 and 28, this way he would have easily achieve the target....
Defending is an uphill task.

All the fund they're now using to defend the share price could have gone into the recapitalization itself.
They sure know what's there for the bank anyway....

ZENITH did 36, UBA should have just done 26..
This way Many would likely pick up their Rights and will be oversubscribed self.
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by phadriz(m): 3:24pm On Nov 06, 2024
FBNH RI is N25, couple with the fact that UBA paid interim dividend of N2, RI @ N30 is not bad

I don't rush into stock like that ooo. You need to consider transaction cost. I believe Jaiz may move anytime, I bought 25% of my target @ 2.25. Will continue tomorrow.

That rights issues of banks are overpriced is becoming a trending opinion among common shareholders. And when you start receiving mails and calls soliciting for taking up your rights units, it makes you feel like you're a significant figure in the scheme of things. Then when the outcome shows that the RI was oversubscribed overnight, everyone's confused. Access started this trend, and I don't think UBA's will be unsuccessful.

The questions are:
1. Are common shareholders (with an exemption of the movers and shakers) actually a part of the RI game?

2. Have the bigwigs not discounted the reactions of shareholders when deciding listing prices?

Oh yea investors of little faith.

There is no fire on any mountain.

We shall all climb safely to the mountain top

We are currently descending and approaching a valley.

There is a spring of water in the valley.

We need the water in order to renew our strength.

The renewed energy will carry us to kilometer N150 before Xmas.

The Lord has assured us of a "very dirty December" courtesy of the chosen stock.

Fear not sayeth the Lord of host.

The current nightmare and uncertainty will disappear before the end of the week.

I am the Lord who makes way where there seem to be no way

Uncle T and his gang know what they are doing. Don't forget that he said he will use all his interim dividend to buy the RI. In my opinion, he and his gang would wish small shareholders don't claim their rights so that he and his gang can accumulate more.

💯 my thoughts too.

It reminds me of a friend's description of how government ministries posts job openings for graduates to apply (and sometimes even pay like the 2013 N1000 per NIS applicant). On the backend, the positions had been filled weeks or months before the adverts. Presidency list, governors' lists, etc. A common citizen would be thinking their degrees and expertise are in demand by their government, but they don't really exist as anything more than a common man in the scheme of things.

I will advice you visit the NGX site and download the reports yourself.

The audited result was released on 30th October.Profit is 980m.This I think is the true result.

On 1st Nov another report which I guess is unaudited was published and if the 13B profit which translates to EPS of 1.20+ is true, market is supposed to respond ASAP despite the bleeding on stocks these days.

Let us do more research on Consolidated Hallmark Group .

@ Mercy ,pls kindly check these 2 reports and respond.
