emmanuelewumi:Hello bro. Is there any reliable financial reporting site for ngx stocks with accurate data and financial ratios and break-downs? Manual calculation seems hectic and tedious for me. proshare, simplywallst, investing.com are all using inaccurate data for their financial ratios thereby giving wrong reports. |

GeeKudi:Of course Nigerians want cheaper fuel, but the government policy at this dispensation is not considering cheaper fuel but determined to deregulate the petroleum industry. You would recall that this translates to refineries selling at the market price, and the market price is determined by the global price of crude oil at the moment. So, as long as there is no subsidy, refineries, foregn or local would sell sell at prices determined by crude oil price. In addition, you may also recall that one of the reasons why the remove subsidy was that, when our petroleum products are cheaper here in Nigeria, "huzzliig" Nigerians would snuggle the products and sell in the neighbouring african countries while the products would become scarce in Nigeria. Government also losses billions of Naira revenue through this practice. So, I think making the products cheaper would even ironically negate one of the basic principle behind subsidy removal. |

Me4bas: Yet to get the news where dividend was declared. Dangote Sugar that is entangled in FX loses. Had to exit the stock. That is how I will exit all unprofitable stocks (even at a loss) and clean up my portfolio. |

vacanci:Forget about what it gained today. The most important thing is to break a stubborn wall which has been restricting movement for weeks now. It was broken today. The expo is you can make 10-20 % in mansard henceforth. Next week will give a clearer picture of what I am saying. |

jonnysessy: This reminds me of when I told Pa Emma then that any company that does not pay a minimum 6% dividend this year is gone, he said most companies will not pay that 6%. I said if they don't, they'll get sold! Boy! I am happy I stood my ground, the main companies that did not meet this small test were Sugar, Sterling, Maybaker, Lasaco and MTN, they all got sold. It's all numbers, no emotion. |

| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by jonnysessy(m): 7:08pm On Nov 08, 2024 |
Me4bas:I can't say you are wrong. It could be dividend declared 5 years ago. Maybe the registrars discovered that they are yet to pay him a particular dividend. Hence, they decided to pay him. But,I know that Dangote Sugar didn't declare any dividend for the past two years. |

I'm trying to read between the lines... What if DANGREFINE wants to make JAIZ their main bankers 🤔. That would mean an International license and SP BOOM! Let's be on the lookout for a capital raise by JAIZ. I believe DIL will increase their stake significantly... At the bolded: 7.24% by H1 chimex38: |
