Marry who you're attracted to in all ways, desperation shouldn't push you to marry who's available and ready to do the needful. In a long run, you'll feel irritated and disgusted in whatever he does and nothing he does to please you will please you.

7 years now I have been out of marriage, and to be perfectly honest I have no regrets or whatsoever being a divorcee. This years of being alone has been the best years of my life. I am not going to say I inclined to celibacy these years, I do it, mainly to kill the urge but not emotionally attached to whoever is shagging.

To me, Marriage isn't worth it at all. It's simply overrated. I regret ever getting myself involved in this nonsense. I was probably naive then , I can't blame myself much.
You look young though. Why not add the tale on your diary. I don't think marriage is as bad as you have painted it though. Experience defines us.

The biggest regret of most married women is that they were not able to optimize their hypergamy properly, after being dick downed by the Alpha's who won't commit, hence they settle for the beta provider.

Of course they won't admit this out loud.

In all sincerity, I don't think they have any regret.

From the number of pages the post/thread have, you can tell.

grin grin grin nothing to regret after marriage especially If u took out time to study your spouse...even at that u have to make it work...missing your single life is been childish....it like a grand father wishing he was a toddler....that irresponsible...but if there's something to regret it should be getting married in Nigeria with crazy leaders in charge of national life
Matured thinking.

If the world wanted to be perfect and chose marriage to be a perfect union, I see no reason why marriages before us has not brought the world to its perfect state. Or are the marriages not enough. Marriage is a trap to break humanity from perfection
Re: Married Women, What's Your Biggest Regret About Marriage? by thatigbogirl4NL:
PERSPECTIVE OF A 2 YEARS In Marriage Woman .
No regret. Whatsoever...
But challenges dey oo
It's not for the faint hearted
I married at @29yrs

At least my Husband does borrow or beg me for money as my idoma and Igala exs did. And still gaslight me... Unkind and selfish set of people I meet. U go chop my food, borrow my money , still won knack... If I no come your house gaslighting go start. ...ndi ara ndi ara

I wonder if they used charm on me. I doubt cause I meet them in Church

No regret. Someone is providing for us.
Marriage is not for the undisciplined

Ur indiscipline in single life can make it a traumatic experience for you.

As a babe. U like soft life and plenty expensive wigs and billing.

Biko don't marry. U will frustrate his Life...
Except he earns 2 million a month in this Tinubu economy. Or you are working
Ur failed expectation can cause you to breakdom.

A regret in marriage might set in if you are unable to concieve , birth a child after 2 years of marriage... Environmental and family pressure is not a joke. Just pray to born sharp sharp

Only Peakbaby N7500
Oga buys it every 12days.

Tiny regret. I have to learn alll details of igbo soups. Ofe akwu, ofe onugbu, ode owerri, ode Nsala, ofe akwuko. Thanks to Flo chinyere.
Cooking can be draining at times, when you have a suckling baby. You do all the chores. No house help

After getting married I was happy I didn't engage in pre-marital sex. It's a total waste of time. Sex is over hyped I realized after I don marry
As a new mum of a 9 month old son... Sometimes no sex for weeks. Yet it never been an issue. Hubby was also a Virgin till 35 marriage.

... Story for another day.

We use to fight for weeks...
We do settle
I regret reporting my husband to my sis in-law.

Pls don't involve your in-laws in your marriage
NEVEr involve 3rd party to settle a marriage strain. Not pastor, not even ur mother, not ur brother, not ur sister, not bishop, not iman, not revr. Father
YOU WILL REGRET IT

I did ones. I regretted it. I was so naive

The only regret till date is my Hubby stopped me from my men boutique business

And said I must learn Python programming . It's so hard...
Another. Regret as a married woman your movement and relationship with both male and female folks is censored 100percent...
For 2yrs. Now I can summarised and say.

If your single life baggage is to much.
Pls don't marry

Live a DISCIPLINE SINGLE Life Style. OR DONT MARRY

Else marriage will be a horror regretful experience to you.

Never marry a man from a broken home. You'll get two sets of inlaws. Two mother inlaws, two father inlaws. Double the wahala

Think well before you marry a man who doesn't have a steady nine to five job. If it's on contractual basis, you go pay bills alone tire during off peak seasons. And pray the season ends early or you'll spend the rest of your life paying all the bills alone and looking older than your age because of the load.

Your first sentence negates your last.

You advised that women should get married to whom they are attracted to and in the same breath, "marriage isn't worth it at all", according to you.

I want to believe you got divorced from your husband not because you prolly weren't attracted to him; but because marriage isn't your thing. You got tired of him. You got tired of marriage. You decided out. You wanted to be free. You didn't want to be accountable to anyone for the life you wished to live.

Question is: why did you decide to marry the poor guy when you knew "marriage isn't worth it"? Oh! You just wanted to have kids with him, ditch him, and start exploring life.

Not good at all!

I visit them once every month and as long as we're still living in the same country, I'll still take that flight whenever I have time to go and see them... The longest I've been without seeing them was 3 months.

Even my father once asked me why couldn't I choose a guy from our community or around our province... grin grin... The man himself is also finding it difficult to accept that I'm now grown and married.

I would advice married women not to drop any comments here as regards the question.

Because these Yeye men are out to attack you
No emotional intelligence

In the minds of these NL men, whether na regret of married men or regrets of married women everything equals to the WOMAN responsible for the regret and they won’t hold back to spite the woman. Very nonsense set of disgusting gender here

After getting yourselves entangled with bad boys on the flimsy excuse of "marrying whom you are attracted to", you turn around to complain and talk down on marriage when you get tired of the physical attraction and the bad boy starts showing you shege
