Akpaamunsi:U don't get it. For each of my 7 digit FBNH shares, I actually got a dividend of N2.40k. D 40k(from FBNH) plus the N2 interim UBA. When I sold the FBNH shares(in reaction to FBNH poor dividend), UBA was even cheaper. So got more UBA shares investing every kobo from the sale of my FBNH shares. Waited till after FBNH dividend qualification date b4 selling my FBNH shares |

No non dividend paying stocks currently in my portfolio. The last 4 I exited were Oando. DaarComm DangSugar. FBNH(poor dividend plus frustration of multiple shifted payment dates |

Raider76:Bear wey bull don tie rope to slaughter for Xmas. Better put your money in the market Monday/Tuesday. Its a time for 10 10% for days/weeks. Many will chase a moving train and will not succeed to enter. It will be very funny if any Nsempa member misses this bull because of analysis paralysis. You will never forgive yourself. |

leparj:I hope you will forgive yourself when these stocks turn to green in few days? It's a time to watch and not sell. A time to look for above 20/30%. A time to recover some hair cuts |

Why is UBA selling rights at 35naira when the price of the share on the stock exchange is #33.45? Doesn't Make sense |

Akpaamunsi:Major shareholder intrigues |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by jonnysessy(m): 7:51am On Nov 17, 2024 |
Akpaamunsi:Well, to my own little understanding, I feel they want the cabal holding onto the shares to increase their stakes. Remember, no public offering was announced yet. But, they fail to understand that I can equally buy from the secondary market and get any quantity I desire. For the right issues to be successful, the secondary market ought to be higher in price. Let's see if the secondary market price can be sustained. ![]() |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by leparj(m): 8:35am On Nov 17, 2024 |
Akpaamunsi:I think it may be deliberate. It's for the big boys to take up the Rights and increase their stakes. Minority shareholders will also sell the right to their Rights. The big boys will mop up dat and then also take those Rights. Access did a similar thing(the Rights price was higher than the price on the floor) and it was hugely successful. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Bovis(m): 9:30am On Nov 17, 2024*. Modified: 11:54am On Nov 17, 2024 |
Akpaamunsi:Because the management has insider knowledge of the organisation and the current market price doesn’t reflect the true value Literally any stock trading under N50 on NSE and pays an interim dividend of N2 is undervalued. Therefore, UBA will re rate accordingly with time I reckon the price will surpass N35 before the closing date of the rights issue on December 24th |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Akpaamunsi: 9:52am On Nov 17, 2024 |
jonnysessy:I think it's better to buy the quantity of my rights on the secondary market which gives me instant allocation. |

| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by designking: 10:55am On Nov 17, 2024 |
If the UBA believe they are far worth more than ₦35/share, then they are mostly right. I see UBA trading above ₦35 before the end of December 2024. I might have to buy some units to add to my portfolio on Monday for long term. |

designking:While UBA is certainly cheap compared to its historical valuations, it is not amongst the cheapest banks. If you want to enter banking stocks you might want to look at Zenith and GTCO |
