If you can't afford a wedding why repeat three weddings as a man? You allow a woman push you above your means and you call it realistic? Someone earn 200k and borrows 2 years of his salary for wedding? That's stupidity and not been realistic.

Even I that is worth much more can't even spend 6m for a days wedding as of today not because I can't afford it seamlessly but because I don't see any reason to do that for a day's expenses. I'm more of a realistic person when it comes to marriage and not wedding, my wedding cost for a day can't be more than my marriage cost for a year only fuulish men do that

I understand your points but the parties involved have to agreed on not to exceed their budget. Besides some saved up for their wedding without necessary borrowing. If it's 500k you have, do your stuff and have peace of mind. Peradventure I have 20M in my account breathing, I won't spend more than 3M on my wedding. We have more important things to invest our money on.

This is me, I can't, my wedding cost for a day can't be more than my marriage cost for one year. People just set themselves up for failure. Tell these women who push men around to contribute 25% of the cost and see how they will break up the wedding they dream about. The only reason why women want men majorly is because of that mindset that someone will take up that responsibility which they themselves should cater as an adult, ability to provide. Depends on your definition of mediocre. A friend got married last week. He point blank told me ORE ko si owo. Dude went to court with is bride and family in ebonyi and afterwards, shared the snacks he can among the few families who came in. He even told me from the onset not to bother coming, I should convert the fuel money into gift if possible. After the court thing, they did prayer room wedding for them in his church and next thing he said he ordered 30k cake for himself and bride alone inside their new home. Funnily, he spent less than 400k and he jokingly told me he met the lady a virgin so he's planning getting her a car before 1 year together.


I always say, regardless of your pocket, there is always a market for you. Even 50 naira okirika dey.
