Why do people think weddings must be big, get both families with few close friends together, do small thing then go home and rest, it's better to spend that huge amount on something that would last rather than spending it on a one day celebration, money wey you for use buy baby hanger, baby food and some kind things you don use am feed people, wetin your pikin go come chop when you born. |

Funny enough the lady that made this guy to spend this much on wedding might not contribute much ....if a lady wants a elaborate wedding & has the capacity or ready to support it's okay |

Babangidapikin:Which jointly? If she divorced him after one month who pays the debt? Only fuuuls behave like that dude, ask the girl how much she will bring for the loud wedding and see the stupid lady you always to marry. An adult want something and she can't work to help get that thing but rather want another person to bear the liability for her liability fantasies , mumu men plenty sha. If he is worth that amount monthly is a different ball game, that dude isn't earning up to 200k monthly. |
| Re: I Borrowed Money To Fund Our Wedding. by idahme(m): 11:05am On Nov 23, 2024 |
Samantha125:It's because she isn't the one paying, let's reverse the role and let the ladies sponsor weddings and let's see if we will ever have one loud wedding in Nigeria. ![]() People who can't afford the lifestyle they wish to have are people who shout let's do loud wedding at the expense of another, it's pathetic |
| Re: I Borrowed Money To Fund Our Wedding. by idahme(m): 11:09am On Nov 23, 2024 |
thesicilian:If you can't afford a wedding why repeat three weddings as a man? You allow a woman push you above your means and you call it realistic? Someone earn 200k and borrows 2 years of his salary for wedding? That's stupidity and not been realistic. Even I that is worth much more can't even spend 6m for a days wedding as of today not because I can't afford it seamlessly but because I don't see any reason to do that for a day's expenses. I'm more of a realistic person when it comes to marriage and not wedding, my wedding cost for a day can't be more than my marriage cost for a year only fuulish men do that |
| Re: I Borrowed Money To Fund Our Wedding. by idahme(m): 11:14am On Nov 23, 2024 |
Treasure17:This is me, I can't, my wedding cost for a day can't be more than my marriage cost for one year. People just set themselves up for failure. Tell these women who push men around to contribute 25% of the cost and see how they will break up the wedding they dream about. Women don't give a damn about you it's just what they want so why play into that game? The only reason why women want men majorly is because of that mindset that someone will take up that responsibility which they themselves should cater as an adult, ability to provide. Once you loose that ability by your intention to do what women want same woman will leave you because you have lost that ability to provide. Men should stay smart at all times |
| Re: I Borrowed Money To Fund Our Wedding. by idahme(m): 11:16am On Nov 23, 2024 |
DaddyCoool:They are not the ones paying, let men insist these fantasy ladies bring 50% of the cost of the wedding they dream about and see them running to their father's houses. It's irresponsible women that do this, they always want someone to carry their life's liabilities. |

I honestly don't see the reason why some people want big weddings when they're not rich... Even some rich people prefer small and private weddings. idahme: |

DaddyCoool:Small, classy weddings are equally expensive. Ask around, or do your research. If you don’t want to spend carelessly , which I think is cool too; just do church blessing or nikkah carry your wife go house. |

Fools like this deserve the darkest place in hell. Why borrow money to spend another unending money. At the end of the day, before who matter don't mind and people who mind don't matter. |
| Re: I Borrowed Money To Fund Our Wedding. by Oracleee: 4:01pm On Nov 23, 2024 |
thesicilian:Depends on your definition of mediocre. A friend got married last week. He point blank told me ORE ko si owo. Dude went to court with is bride and family in ebonyi and afterwards, shared the snacks he can among the few families who came in. He even told me from the onset not to bother coming, I should convert the fuel money into gift if possible. After the court thing, they did prayer room wedding for them in his church and next thing he said he ordered 30k cake for himself and bride alone inside their new home. Funnily, he spent less than 400k and he jokingly told me he met the lady a virgin so he's planning getting her a car before 1 year together. I always say, regardless of your pocket, there is always a market for you. Even 50 naira okirika dey. |
