I disagree with you.
Do you how many times they had promised the refinery would start working?
The government had given different uncountable dates for refining of petroleum products, that the citizens doubt anything they say.
Until it starts real production and tankers starts loading, no more lies and propaganda

The problem with you lots is that you desperately want this government to fail so you can brag about how you predicted it. However, you have to learn to accept defeat and stop playing politics with every issue

OANDO
So, Annual General Meeting is coming up on the 17th of December, 2024

Wonder why nobody has mentioned the attached Resolution 3 under the SPECIAL BIZ.....
**Is OANDO planning bonus Issue?
OR, Debt to Equity conversion?

** Either way, it's looking more like positive action coming from the company.... Restructuring is coming!**

** Some receivables owed O&O to be converted to shares and then distribute to shareholders...... Something like Oando shareholders also becoming shareholders in those companies......some kind of additional shares to be distributed to O&O shareholders??
Accounting gurus, over to you o......and don't bother to comment if you're coming with your negative mindset. 😁

We celebrate things that we should be ashamed of. What is the hype about when virtually all OPEC members have functional refineries in their country.
I would not be surprised to hear that the same refinery has collapsed and packed up in few months or days from now.

And when it pack up, that is when you will rejoice?

Let's celebrate every little gains. At least we now have 2 refineries (FG and Private) working and many more to come.

So, how would Oando distribute new shares to its existing shareholders, and then turn around to delist same shares in a short while within the same year? Na witchcraft dem want start to practice?
This could be the clearest indication that they are not delisting, if my interpretation is right.

If this works to the benefit of shareholders, then Year2025 go loud gaan!

We should rather wait and celebrate when we operate the refinery successfully for at least year, then we can mark the annual anniversaries. But not to be making merry and noises right now. It is too early to pop champagne.

Dangote has just built his refineries in less than 10 years, while FGN/NNPC has been doing TAM for almost 30 years! So what is the big deal if the PH refinery is now able to refine crude?

By the way, it is Buhari who awarded the contract for the repair and overhaul of the PH refinery and he deserves the credit, not Tinubu!

Tinubu's own project is the poorly thought-out, corruption-laded Lagos-Calabar Highway which he awarded to his cronies in Hitech!

U celebrate little things...steps...
Irrespective of the shame .....
2nd phase should come up in Mid 25...26
If BAT keep up with the tempo...
We still have a 3rd phase.
And if they can successfully privatise other refineries..
FG can make that sector really competitive...
Dangote and other importers will have to sweat it out..

Madam yMyc well done oo. I am not an accountant, and I have similar questions with you. In addition I am actually confused with all the unfamiliar terms. I believe most shareholders that will be called upon to vote will be similarly confused. So I want to suggest that Oando publish or hold a "Facts behind the AGM" briefing, similar to that done for new listings. This will give opportunity for the company to explain what they really intend to do.

I will say investors you take caution with livestock.
It is trading at her or close to her 52 weeks high.
I am bearish about her Q4 result to be lower in revenue and eps from my past experience in that industry.
From experience, animal farming companies likestock make more profit in Q3 due to price of all feed milling materials to be highest or most expensive then.
The maize, soya beans meal, GNC ( groundnut cakes) are all expensive from April to July when the companies make most of their revenue and profits because they mostly stock this materials from September to December when they are cheapest thereby making max profits in July.
If you look at livestock chart, historically it is always down January to march and start picking up April.
Maize last December was 40/45k per 100kg compared to 80/90k in June/July. So other materials.
So, preferably it's best selling the stock now to enter Dec/Jan to dump July/august.
Rinse and repeat
Everything you said here is validated by Data cheesy

I didn't even look at the chat before making that comment.
I wrote it from past experience.
I was into catfish rearing, poultry, rabbit before with my mum.
So I do go to feed mill to pellet feeds locally and sometimes we buy ready made ones from companies or imported.
So I have idea how the prices fluctuate between harvesting season and scarcity season.
GNC (groundnut cakes), Soyabean meal, PKC (palm kernel cake), maize etc are feed ingredients we use to make feeds.
