Fisayo for me is that X factor player. We definitely need him in the team. I see a similarity with Aribo, quick transitions, less imposing but with an eye for a strike. Both Akinsanmiro and Nwakili will earn their call up with time. TheSuperNerd: |

I also think, though we have tried starting both before, if Lookman and Moses Simon interchange positions during the run of play, we could be unpredictably dangerous. I do not fancy Ejuke and Chukwueze as starters. Would love to see more of Tella. TheSuperNerd: |

me when dey eye this guy and Dorgu that year.. We are so lucky to be having some real talents emerge from Nigeria, else e for get as e be. These dual nationals, sometimes getting them is like a wild goose chase. There are times we never even start the chase, they are already gone like an unprovoked warthog. Adarabioyo is still bidding his time at 27. I also remember when Uduokhai, Torunarigha and Akpoguma dey dance triangular atilogu, now it seems there are all in our camp, but unfortunately, no longer as hot as freshly baked bread. I must say Onuachu needs to come back in the conversation. His talent has never been in question. it's always been about how to utilize him for most of our coaches in the past. EEGA: |

I will not forgive NIGERIA if we miss out on another world cup. I am taking this very personal, because for once I will have the opportunity to be at the stadium watching them without breaking sweat. |

what happened to Nura Abdullahi. I thought he was going to get back.. that's one pure talent gone. |

Christantus is my actual 3rd choice to be tried there in the sense that I know Akinsanmiro won't be called up yet and that KN will need a fine season to show us he is back for good. Christantus could work there but that would mean another lad to take up the CM role with Iwobi stationed as the wide creator in this setup. Joebie: |

Exactly. Fisayo is kinda similar to Aribo in plays but has better ball striking than Aribo. They both love 1-2 short interchange passes and love to attack the box and "arrive late in the box". Fisayo is key if used right. But don't put the creative burden on him. He will crumble. Joebie: |

I wouldn't mind relying on Ndidi's experience. He still has something to offer there. And yes Christantus is the realistic pick. He is widely sought after for a reason. But, at the same time, I do think he has something that is needed and lacking in this current team. He will make a big difference. I am talking about his bullish ball carrying ability. He can work his way through tight spaces. We don't have that profile at middle. He will prove an asset playing behind our forwards especially when we are faced with those annoying walls. He can unsettle opponents set up that way defensively, and can draw fouls. We don't have that TheSuperNerd: |

Can we have a midfield of Black busquet (Onyedika) , Nwakali, Iwobi?? ![]() Our Busquet is a Pirlo/Iniesta in one. feels good watching him rn. |

Imagine someone using Ndidi's tackling and interceptions Stats fame from across 2019/20, 2020/21, 21/22 seasons to make a case for why Ndidi should start at CDM ahead of the Onyedika who is dropping another midfield Masterclass today in the UCL yet again. Some Naija football watchers dey tire me. Myopic lots. |

Mbappe misses penalty. Mo Salah steps up and says "You are not alone bro. I dey for you"... Runs up and misses his own penalty too. Na wa for this drama. Liverpool still lead anyway. |

TheSuperNerd:We are genuinely worried but at the end, the phase will pass and the players will return. If the season goes south, no problem because we will learn from it and most especially have a more robust squad to prevent reoccurrence. |

TheGoodJoe:oga wetin concern super eagles with serie A…we are talking about beat and most deadly striker to have worn the green white green jersey…oga its yekini. To win Afcon scoring goals at the world cup and playing at the World cup knock stage stages on two occasions no be beans….Napoli na super eagles? Yekini is the best in the here and now…let any striker wear that jersey and beat those record set by him then yekini can confidently bow out |

imagine super eagles finishing the group on second spot…they will now start another rigorous round of World cup qualifiers 🤣 Playing a mini tournament with all the groups second best and if they manage to win the mini tournament they will go to play another inter-continental mini-tournament against other countries outside africa.. long walk to freedom |

Mbappe and Haaland are beginning to look like frauds. It's an insult to compare those two to the peak era of Messi and CR7 |

minfelix:If we are talking best player based on only games with Super Eagles, I won't argue. However, best Super Eagles players in various positions, their club roles are also important. Just like when we talk of how Mikel is a Super Eagles legend, we also celebrate his Chelsea. But strictly Super Eagles, then Yekini goes. |

Joebie:really surprised seeing jpes on this list. The afcon showing should have gotten him something. Would have advocated for his return but then I can't forget that he is responsible for half of our WCQ woes. |

TheGoodJoe:in SE conversation yekini still has more claim than osimhen. 13 afcon goals, 37 goals and an afcon trophy. All these give him more ranking than osimhen who has 1 afcon goal, 23 goals and no afcon trophy. The serie a golden boot is nice but yekini's achievement are nicer. On the good side he is still young so within 3 yrs he should hold one or two of the records above but for now yekini is the SE's goal champion. |

minfelix:That's why we need a serious coach and a nucleus of better players than some of the deadweights we keep calling up and wasting precious time and spots...that's why I'm NOT sold on this Eguavoen or home based coach nonsense, we need a strict and pragmatic foreign coach who won't mess around with player call up's or be a "yes man" to the NFF. We have what it takes in player quality to win all our remaining games and qualify without doing further math's calculations since other teams above us drop points inevitably against each other. We need a serious coach who will have the balls to finally drop underperforming players like Iheanacho, Sadiq etc and call up in-form players (we know these players already). NFF need to get serious for once in their existence and announce a serious coach who actually has a plan before the close of the year, there's no time to waste cause qualifiers start in March of 2025, that's just barely 5 months away. |

Amedino99:I'll take Jpes back if he wants a redemption arc, he's still one coach who showed tactical flexibility like we saw during the AFCON and I feel he would have done well in the next round of the WCQ with the momentum he had running in the AFCON. The other foreign coaches we should try get are the Niger republic coach (I liked how well drilled Niger republic looked under him), Allou Cisse is also available, the former Cameroon coach Antonio Conceicao recently expressed his desire to coach the team... |
