You see why NO ONE can predict the market?

One seller just squashed your +10% projection for CHAMS.
Now you're preaching -10% ... cheesy

I had to quickly exit all my JB as soon as I saw Wike and co fighting with the MD on Twitter. Thank God I did so before it turned to full offer. It’s a shame really

Sorry for my poor language, they were not fighting on twitter. Rather, I saw a video where Wike was talking about how he revoked their land on twitter. I had previously also seen the Minister of Works, Umahi, also having issues with them. If the Minister of Works is having issues with you, then that is your signal to exit. Then luckily I decided to rotate profit into another industrial sector player, Wapco, and the rest is history grin

chimex38:
Any Reason for the fight on twitter?
Is it on the revoked JB land asset?

OK. I get.
Anyway, it's still a fight.
I just wanted to know if there were other issues on JB I haven't heard of.
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Sunrisepebble: 1:59pm On Nov 28, 2024
I dont think they will delist now. If they didn't do so when it was at a cheaper price, I dont see why they will now delist at this current level when it will be 5 or 6x times more expensive. I think Bagwa is right, perhaps they were just using the whole court thing as a distraction because if you check any technical chart, you'll see the ridiculous volume in Oando around 1st and 2nd week of September last year. It was likely Wale and co mopping us much as they could under 10 naira.

Re: Oil battle, my spiritual analysis is telling me that Oando will likely get that Trinidad Refinery. It will not even shock me if FG and NUPRC want to give them SPDC also at this point

The sure thing here is government backing as long as JAGABAN is there but the delisting matter is still a concern until it's officially thrown out

RE: Wapco hearing c.80-100. Still remains to be seen whether the acquirer is taking over the majority shareholder (84%) alone (I.e Guinness) or if they are buying the whole company. The impact on the share price may not be as much if the first scenario holds

That type of trading is abnormal.
It defies all types of analysis because the stock is being controlled by one firm/one individual.

We will begin our usual MH on chams when the coast is cleared.

Looking forward to have a single stock portfolio on chams in the coming days.

Good entry is the Koko.

The problem of this country is not just the leaders. It is equally from the followers. You will see the truth you will not want to say it because you hope to benefit or don't want to say it because it may hurt you. This guy man want a way to write off the debt he has acquired via back door. All he want is for us to vote so that it will look legal. It is high timed efcc invites this professional yahoo man.
What he want to do is trying to write off this monies as bad debt simply via yeye shares given in it place.why are the banks being owed by oando not asking for oando shares to relief debt on onado head.Na the money we want not any kind yeye shares.

On a second thought, some scenarios came up in my mind about Oando's proposed financial restructuring:

Let us consider these two theoretical scenarios/options:

Option 1:
Write off the related party receivables to bad debts in the P/L and report huge losses for the year.
This would lead to a huge drop in price of the shares. With the huge losses, no dividend nor bonus can be paid to shareholders.

Option 2: this is what some of us think Oando is trying to do:
Convert and reclassify the related party receivables to investments in related parties (after receiving their shares). This would avoid writing off the receivables to bad debts, thereby preserving potential profits in the P/L. This could boost the company's chances of posting net profits for the year coupled with positive reactions in the stocks market. Shareholders would also benefit in future when the shares are distributed pro-rata.

The choice is for shareholders to decide
Why do humans especially in naija always like to waste time!
Gambling is a disease as that OANDO guy ojt will just be laughing at nsempa guys. He will be happy and popping champagne about the confusion he has set because instead of shareholders protesting and calling him out they are busy cracking their brains unnecessarily.
Naija, we have a very long way to go....
Hope some are also learning sha cool

At current exchange rate and oil prices, petrol cannot sell for N500. If oil prices go down to $30s then N500 is possible if the exchange rate stays fixed. If exchange rate also improves to N900/$ then even at current oil prices N500 will petrol be.

Pegging our petrol price to the international price is one of the major mistakes that we are making as a country. I don't think any OPEC country does that.
What we need to do is to determine the inter-generational cost of producing the crude oil from our soil and add some equitable markup/margin on it and sell to the local market. This is how the local economy can be competitive against other countries. Governments have successfully deceived us into believing that it is the right thing to relate the cost of oil in New York with the price we sell it in our villages and towns when we are the producers.
The price of Coca cola in New York is the not the same as Coca Cola produced at NBC in Ibadan

So what happens when PMS sells at say N200 in naija and in Cameroun here it is above 1k? There will be scarcity forever in naija due to snuggling. We can all see that Christmas is approaching and there is PMS everywhere. That's a departure from the norm.

As I heard, Nigeria's crude is one of the most expensive to extract. At ca. $45. I don't know how true that is
