Secret Lineages Of African Americans by GodisStriking(op): 4:04am On Nov 30, 2024
70 percent of African American women are maternally Sub Saharan Africans. 20 percent of African American women are maternally White Caucasian. 10 percent of African American women are maternally Native American. 85 percent of African American men have White Caucasian paternal lineage. 10 percent of African American men have African paternal lineage. 5 percent of African American men have Middle Eastern and Mediterranean paternal lineage and they're mostly light skinned, mixed race and Creole men.

Martin Luther King Jr., though known for his dark complexion, actually had a white grandfather on his father's side. The details of King's ancestry were a topic of discussion and interest during his life and after.

King's father, Martin Luther King Sr., was of mixed racial heritage. The white ancestry in King's paternal lineage was through his grandfather, James Albert King. James King had a white father and a black mother, which made King Sr. biracial and subsequently led to Martin Luther King Jr. having a white grandfather.
Despite appearing very dark Dr. Martin Luther King Jr descended from White Caucasian paternal lineage. Could this be the reason he wanted to integrate with his father?

Malcolm X, the charismatic leader of the American Civil Rights Movement, had a very dark-skinned father, Earl Little.

Earl Little, Malcolm X's father, was an active Baptist preacher in the African-American community and was known for his dark complexion.

On the other hand, Malcolm X's mother, Louise Norton Little, was light-skinned and had a mixed racial background.

Malcolm X's paternal lineage, through his father Earl Little, has strong African ancestry.

Earl Little, being a dark-skinned Baptist preacher, is believed to have had a high percentage of African genetic heritage, which would have been passed down to his son, Malcolm X.

This African ancestry played a significant role in Malcolm X's personal identity and his connection to the African-American civil rights movement.

Despite having a light-skinned mother, Malcolm X had a strong connection to African heritage due to his father's lineage.
Despite appearing light skinned Malcolm X descended from African men, could this be the reason he toured Africa before his departure?

There's no black American that is fully black, they're all mixed... Most of them have high Nigerian ancestry, but I'm surprised at how they always settle for Ghana instead of Nigeria.

Even Ja Rule is currently building a school in Ghana.

.

Yes that is strange. My ancestors were Frankish and I have Mediterranean and Middle Eastern paternal lineage but on my African side I am drawn to Nigeria. That is because Nigeria is the largest and most powerful black nation on Earth. If any African nation stood a chance to become a super power it would be Nigeria first followed by Ethiopia.
Re: Secret Lineages Of African Americans by Samantha125(f): 10:40am On Nov 30, 2024
I don't think it has anything to do with Nigeria being the largest and most powerful black nation on earth, but it has everything to do with the slave trade that occurred centuries ago.

Yes, Nigerians now migrate in their numbers, but back then, they were taken against their will.

Yes this is true. I was drawn to the cultural aspect and my desire to fix what ever happened that many lifetimes ago. I really only have a percentage of West Africa. My main percentages of genes are East African and Mediterranean. My mother's lineage came from Ethiopia as my great great maternal grandmother was kidnapped during a religious visit to the United States and held as a slave. My genetics combination is rare.

Why is it that most black Americans choose to settle for Ghana rather than Nigeria despite mostly having high Nigerian ancestry?

Maybe you might have an idea yourself because I'm guessing you're a black American as well, right?

W.E.B Du bois inspired many them who are Catholic Black Greek secret society to relocate and do business in Ghana.

WEB Du Bois, the esteemed sociologist, writer, and civil rights activist, had a white slave owner as a great-grandfather. His great-grandfather was named Andrew Jackson Crawford, and he came from a white family that owned slaves in Florida.

WEB Du Bois' great-maternal grandmother was most likely from the Akan ethnic group, based on his family history and his own words. The Akan people are a significant ethnic group in Ghana, comprising several subgroups such as the Ashanti, Fante, and others.

Du Bois' affinity with Ghana and his decision to live there in his later years was likely due to a range of factors. One of which could be his connection to the Akan or other Ghanaian ethnic groups through his great-maternal grandmother.

Re: Secret Lineages Of African Americans by Samantha125(f): 4:21pm On Nov 30, 2024
This is very educational... I read somewhere last week that Ghana has granted more than 500 citizenships to black Americans and I was like "wow!!! That's very impressive".

It's just a pity that some black Americans are denying their African ancestry by claiming that they're the real native Americans and that they got their brown skin from their native American ancestors.

The late Tina Turner was also one of those who denied having any African ancestry in her DNA, she claimed she was a native American and it wasn't until she decided to do an ancestry DNA in this other documentary, I forgot its name, but that was when she found out that she had no native American blood in her, but had more African ancestry, followed by European.

Alot of slaves escaped slave plantations to live among Native Americans and some Native Americans bought slaves from white people. There is about 10 percent of African American women who are maternally Native American women because their great grandfathers were African escaped slaves or slaves to Native Americans. Slavery among Native Americans was less harsh than whites they allowed slaves to marry into the family and gain freedom.

There is a degree of African Americans that came from Native Americans but they're not the original they only mixed in.

I am an original Frank and white people are the French the people who mixed in. Unfortunately when the Frankish Monarchy fell my ancestors scattered and left the country to white French. Yet my forefathers had children with African women and Native Americans and they became known as Creoles. The men are a separate lineage than the women.

Here is a West African example of this different lineages but related people.

The Oba of Benin Kingdom is paternally Yoruba but the women are Benin.

The King of Dahomey is paternally Yoruba but the women are Fon.

Here is an Ethiopian example:

The men of Tygray are paternally Semitic whilst the women are Cushite.

Here is a Biblical example:

Abraham has offspring with Hagar an Egyptian princess and they became Arabs.

Esau has offspring with Egyptian and Canaanite women and they became Edomites.

So mixture occurs everywhere not just amongst slaves.
Re: Secret Lineages Of African Americans by Samantha125(f): 9:59pm On Nov 30, 2024
Mixture does happen everywhere because I also thought I was fully a Pedi girl from Limpopo because all my family lineage seemed to be Pedis until last year when I met up with this Ndebele lady and as we were talking, we introduced ourselves and she was like, "you're one of us", I couldn't understand what she meant because my family are Pedi people from a Pedi village.

She told me that my surname was a Ndebele surname and that I'm a descendant of the Ndebele people who fled to the Northern part of South Africa, which is now known as Limpopo during the Manala and Ndzundza conflict whereby some Ndebele people settled within the Pedi communities in the Sekhukhune region and intermarried with the Pedi people, which led them into adopting the Bapedi culture and language, resulting in the creation of my people.

While another small group of those Ndebeles settled within the the Capricorn region, but were able to preserve their cultural practices and their Ndebele language despite the place being dominated by Bapedi people... And she happened to be their descendant, she could even speak fluent Ndebele.

I consulted my parents about it and they confirmed the story... They told me we're the Pedi people of Ndebele descent... I started realising that the truth has been right infront of me my whole life, but I ignored it.

Because our Sepedi clan names begin by saying,"we're the Ndebele people" and I first got to know about our clan names when I was still in primary school when our Sepedi teacher asked us to go and ask our parents about our clan names so we can come and recite them in class on heritage day... My parents took me to my paternal grandparents' place in the village because my grandfather was the only one who knew the rest of our clan names.

It was a two page recitation and the recitation itself was explaining my lineage, but as a young child, I never did paid much attention to it even though I memorized it and recited it in class on heritage day and I also recited it on my late brother's tombstone unveiling.

My paternal grandparents' Pedi attires also had an admixture of Ndebele culture in them, but still, I didn't pay much attention to them, even my native attires during my traditional initiation school graduation when I was eleven years old had a bit of Ndebele influence in them, but still, I didn't pay any attention to them.

I had to sit down and analyze the recitation for the first time after many years of knowing it and it was then that I realised that the truth has been right infront of me my whole life... But still, I was still in denial of the information I just got, so I decided to do a research about the Ndebele people in Limpopo, also known as the Southern Ndebele people.

The information I found was not what I expected at all and I cried... grin grin grin... It really hurt knowing that I wasn't a full Pedi because all my life I used to brag to other Pedi people from other dialects about how I was the real Pedi because the people from my Pedi dialect consider themselves as the indigenous Pedis.

And since my first name, which is also my tribal name sounds a bit Zuluish, I thought maybe it was of Ndebele descent since Ndebele and Zulu are sister languages, so I also decided to do some research on it and to my greatest surprise, it took me straight to Lesotho... grin grin cheesy... My feelings just went numb.

I'd really love to do an ancestry DNA so I can really know where I'm from, but unfortunately, it's not available in South Africa.

If you were to do a DNA test then maybe you'll find out that you are a Pedi woman but your brothers and male relatives are Ndebele descent. Women carry their own lineages separate from men and pass down their maternal genes from mother to daughter. Men usually prefer women who look a certain way and will have offspring with them to maintain a tribal look and features. The only way a Ndebele man would marry a Pedi woman is that he fled his homeland and now Pedi women are how he can continue his bloodline.

I'm not saying that I am right but this is what your story seems to be saying to me. Not saying that you aren't a Ndebele but you are mixed with Pedi maternal DNA and that is what you as a mother will pass on to your daughters.

Franks were a specific ethnic group who had Mediterranean and Middle Eastern roots. My ancestors came into Germany a land of white Caucasians and settled among them in a city they built called Franksburg. They latter created the Frankish Empire that we know today as the Republic of France. The white revolutionaries overthrew the Frankish rulers in 1789 and killed many true Franks. Most fled and joined the others in French Louisiana and we go by the name Louianna Creole today. We mixed with African women and are a sub minority group among the larger African American people.

Bryant Gumbel is of Louisiana Creole origin, and his ancestry includes Frankish nobles (specifically, nobles from the region of Franconia in France).

Louisiana Creoles are descendants of French and Spanish settlers who first arrived in Louisiana in the 16th century. Many of the early Creole settlers were French nobility who were granted land and slaves by the French colonial government. Over time, the Creoles developed a unique culture and identity that blended elements of French, Spanish, and African traditions and influences.

Its also not a secret, though people seem to forget, that long after slavery, a lot of white men sexually assaulted black women working in their homes, offices, and when black women were out alone. It's not something that began and ended with slavery.

And even though the admixture comes from that, many "black" Americans chose to maintain that admixture by only having children with other mixed people. Today, that's still a thing. Furthermore, many of these people do not have majority black blood, and they're definitely antiblack racists.

Most of the women were seducing white men to gain favors and freedom. As Dr. Finch taught in lectures, the men are conquered and women become the booty. So was there sexual assault of slave women? Yes but not to the degree its made out to be. Alot of men feel an extra ego boost when they can attract women and satisfy them. Being a rapist is about sadistic control not pleasure. Women who are whores will cry sexual assault to save face. Knowing she slept with a white master to get out of hard labor and get a more cushy job.

Yes you are right the preference for mixed race but it's mostly dark skinned black men who fetish over light skinned women. Isn't this the same in Nigeria? Y'all fetish over light skinned women more which causes a lot young girls to bleach their skins to be lighter to be more appealing to the high value men.

The One Drop Rule forced mixed race, light skinned and Creole people whom were free to be categorized as black who were slaves. Free People of Color were restricted and many didn't want to be black because they didn't come from African slaves. Many of our forefathers came from European people of color who also settled in the New World.

Destiny swapping as y'all call this type of lying murderous scheme in Nigeria. The Franks were a brown skinned Mediterranean people with Hebrew origins. They married white women because the peasant population was white. When a Frank married a white woman she and her family became French as in speaking the language of Frank and practicing Frankish culture. But they could never be Franks because it's a male bloodline so the white men felt unequal remaining peasants without the chance to become Nobility. There were no white Knights in shining armour as all the knights were of Nobility and had brown skin. Your history books are all lies written by white Freemasons of the late 18th century after the white revolutionaries overturned the brown skinned Monarchy of Franks and Romans that ruled Europe. Even the Moors and Arabs are mostly brown skinned and the Muslims from Mali were black skinned such as Musa Mansa.

Here is a brown skinned king of Portugal who descended from Franks. Notice he is brown skinned just like King Louis XIV above.

Manuel I, who ruled as king of Portugal from 1495 to 1521, is described by several historical sources as having a swarthy complexion, curly dark hair, and brown eyes.

For instance, the French chronicler Jean de Barros wrote that Manuel I had "a long and swarthy face", with "dark, curly hair".

Similarly, Spanish writer Gonzalo de Berceo described Manuel I as a man with "swarthy features", with "dark, curly locks".

Manuel I of Portugal was a member of the House of Aviz, a Portuguese dynasty with German (Frankish) ancestry. The House of Aviz was a cadet branch of the House of Burgundy, which was a powerful German noble family.

Therefore, given that Manuel I belonged to the House of Aviz, it is accurate to say that he had Frankish ancestry.

Alot of mixed race people don't want to be black that's a fact. It was the white supremacists who was insistent upon catorizing any one with one black ancestor or even a drop of African blood as black. This way the white supremacist could claim all Western Civilization as white. And for a long time white supremacists claimed that they were Egyptians, Greeks, Romans and Europeans. This propaganda went on for a long time of a century or more. Even some Africans who have been apart of Freemasonry supported White Supremacy up until today by insisting all these civilizations were white, well except for Egypt, which the Pan Africans Freemasons use to make themselves lesser gods in the Pantheon of White Supremacy. But the Greeks, Romans and Franks who built Europe were Mediterranean and Middle Eastern people.
Re: Secret Lineages Of African Americans by GodisStriking(op):
Dr. Umar Johnson's paternal great grandfather was indeed a white man, a fact that Dr. Johnson has publicly acknowledged and discussed in interviews.

Dr. Johnson is an activist, author, and educator who focuses on issues impacting African American communities, particularly in regards to education and empowerment. Despite being of mixed race, Dr. Johnson identifies as a Black man and advocates strongly for the advancement of African American people.

Frederick Douglass was an abolitionist, author, and orator who was born enslaved and who achieved prominence as as a leader in the movement to end slavery in the United States.

Frederick Douglas known ancestry traces back to his enslaved mother, Molly Birchall, and an unknown white father.

Dr. Umar Johnson may believe or claim that he is related to Frederick Douglass, but this is not supported by factual or historical evidence.
Dr. Umar Johnson lineage of the white man and son of a black woman.

Frederick Douglass lineage of the white man and son of a black woman.

There are many more like these as 85 percent of African American men have white male paternal lineage. Only a small portion are African and even smaller Mediterranean and Middle Eastern lineages.

Dr. Umar Johnson whose father lineage comes from a white male ancestor spews his hate for light skinned African American. This hatred is coming from his white bloodline whom white men historically didn't like blacks, saw Native Americans as savages and even had disdain for European men of color.

Frank Charles Coleman was an American physicist who co-founded Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, one of the oldest African American Greek letter organizations, with more than 750 chapters globally.

Frank Coleman was one of the nine key founders of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, the first intercollegiate fraternity established for African American men in 1911.

Coleman's father's name was William Coleman, Sr.

William Coleman, Sr., was a prominent African American educator and administrator who had a profound influence on the early education system in Washington, D.C. He was a teacher and school principal and played a significant role in the foundation of Omega Psi Phi.

William Coleman Sr. was born with the last name "Tanner," which was the surname of his father, Samuel Tanner.

However, after becoming estranged from his father at a young age, Coleman Sr. decided to adopt the surname "Coleman" as a way to separate himself from his biological father and create his own identity.

William Coleman Sr.'s father, Samuel Tanner, was white.

Coleman Sr. was born into a mixed-race family, which is believed to have contributed to his difficult upbringing and strained relationship with his father.

Despite having a white father, Coleman Sr. identified strongly with his African American heritage and became a prominent and influential figure in the African American community.
Frank Coleman is another who is the lineage of a white man and a black woman. And although he looks dark skinned he is actually a dark mulatto.

Based on the information available, it appears that Byron Leroy Ruskin's grandfather was white.

Ruskin's grandfather, William Henry Ruskin, was known to be a white man who owned a farm in South Carolina. There is a documented record of a William H. Ruskin owning a farm in Williamsburg County, South Carolina, in the 1930s.

Therefore, Byron Leroy Ruskin did have white ancestry in his family lineage, with his great-grandfather, William Henry Ruskin, being a white man.
Dark skin doesn't matter over genetics because Byron Rustin is the bloodline of a white man.

Byron Leroy Ruskin's paternal lineage can be traced back to his great-grandfather, William Henry Ruskin, who was white and owned a farm in Williamsburg County, South Carolina.

In terms of Ruskin's immediate lineage, his father was known as William Ruskin, and his grandfather was listed as Thomas Lincoln Ruskin in the US Public Records.
