https://doclib.ngxgroup.com/Financial_NewsDocs/42663_ELLAH_LAKES_PLC.-_QUARTER_1_-_FINANCIAL_STATEMENT_FOR_2025_FINANCIAL_STATEMENTS_NOVEMBER_2024.pdf Good morning all in the house ,happy new month. This is the month of prosperity .
I remember we were shouting here that the visit to that farm was a scam but most no want to even listen at all. Herd mentality no good.

While some were rushing ELLAH LAKES above N5 expecting it to hit N10 after those journalists use some overstated report to help insiders to cash out, the patient ones will still get theirs for N2.50 as the share price is going back to base.

I read the above newly released financial report for october 31, and was looking for key word "PIGS" and i cannot find anything of such. Not even an expenses to show that pigs were fed.

The management have been converting parts of their unpaid salaries to equity shares as reported.

I wonder why their report is not showing any significant growth in landed asset. Abi their farm land no dey appreciate?

Why are you rambling? Is it that you don’t know how to analyze financials, or are you just emotionally blabbing? Let me analyze it for you and show you how it’s done.

Understanding Ellah Lakes Plc: A Comprehensive Look at Financials, Inventory, and Expansion

Based on the recent financial statements of Ellah Lakes Plc, the company is undergoing a period of strategic expansion within the palm oil industry while managing debt and demonstrating commitment from key stakeholders.

Director's Loan: A Sign of Confidence?

A notable entry in the company's financials is a "Director's Loan" of ₦1,500,000,000 from Mr. Emmanuel Jakpa, which appeared after July 31st, 2024. While the financials don't specify the loan's purpose, it could represent:

1. Direct investment in the company, reflecting Mr. Jakpa's confidence in its future.
2. Financing for expansion activities, potentially bridging a funding gap.
3. A salary conversion arrangement similar to the management team's conversion of salary payable into equity shares.

The large size of the loan and the lack of details regarding its terms warrant further investigation to fully understand its implications for the company.

Inventory Focus: Palm Oil Seedlings for Cultivation

Ellah Lakes Plc's inventory solely consists of palm oil seedlings valued at ₦96,264,000. These seedlings are not intended for resale but rather for cultivation within the company's own palm oil plantations. This conclusion is supported by several factors:

1. The company's identity as an agricultural company specializing in palm oil production.
2. The significant increase in "biological assets" - a category that includes palm plantations. The value of "biological assets" increased from ₦585,121,000 to ₦725,940,000 during the reporting period. Note 4 details the cost and carrying value of biological assets, broken down into three categories: Palm Plantations, Livestock, and Others. The specific types of livestock included within this category are not specified.
3. The ongoing acquisition of land for expansion, suggesting a need for additional seedlings.

Strategic Expansion: Investing in Future Growth

The financials clearly indicate Ellah Lakes Plc's commitment to expanding its palm oil production capacity. The company:

1. Acquired 80% of ELP Sunshine Limited, signaling a direct move to expand operations.
2. Is in the process of converting the remaining 20% equity in ELP Sunshine Limited (owned by the Ondo State Government) into a long-term lease on 5,000 hectares of land, further increasing its land holdings for cultivation.

These expansion efforts, combined with the existing inventory of palm oil seedlings, suggest Ellah Lakes Plc is preparing for significant future production increases.

I have a simple question: how long did it take Amazon or Tesla to start generating significant revenue? Where are these companies today?

I’m not saying Ellah Lakes is in their category, but what I am saying is that it has great potential if they continue to do the right things.

Great analysis
robobo:
if the news of buyout/delist flies below are my night school analysis of what a fair price should look like

Lafarge (Wapco) back of envelope possible buy out price (going by link shared by sunrise)

Hoacin bought Lafarge Zambia with a capacity of 1.5m/t for $150m for 70%

Meaning 100% of Lafarge Zambia is priced at $200m for 1.5m/t which equals $133m for 1m/t capacity

Hoacin bought Lafarge Malawi with a capacity of 0.25m/t for $10m for 100% which equals $40m for 1m/t

Above means Hoacin paid an upper of $133m for 1m/t capacity and a lower of $40m for 1m/t with an average of $89m for 1m/t

From above for a Lafarge Nigeria with a capacity of 10.5m/t the

Upper buy could be 10.5 by $133m equals $1.4bn @ 1600/$ gives N2.24 trillion with outstanding shares of 16.11bn gives a valuation of N139 per share

The average buy could be 10.5 by $89m equals $935m @ 1600/$ gives N1.5 trillion bn with outstanding shares of 16.11bn gives a valuation of N93 per share

Lower buy could be 10.5 by $40m equals $420m @ 1600/$ gives N672 million with outstanding shares of 16.11bn gives a valuation of N42 per share

So we have three possible scenario of N42; N93 and N139

42 is already affirmatively broken, so maybe we could test 92 next (if no info comes out before it gets there)

i have some few units of Wapco so i might be blinded by sentiment

You sure you read the report? Interesting!

The goal of my post is not to confuse or convince you to buy Ellah Lakes. I'm drawn to point out a few things so you have a better understanding when looking at reports like this. In fact, I encourage you to not touch Ellah Lakes with a long pole. It may not be good for your portfolio or health. They are still haemorrhaging. Pretty sure you are smart enough to know this anyway.

* Sitting on N3.9B in retained losses.
* N260M loss in the October quarter alone
* Possibly on track to reach N1B by year end. Well, change in financial year end to December in play here so may be restated.........huh Let's leave it here.
* Private placement to raise capital is still ongoing. For how many months na? O gi ni?

So instead of CNTRL+F to find "PIGS" in the report, maybe try "biological assets"?

Permit me to provide a summary of the farm related items of interest to you. No photo o so e fit still be scam or audio. cheesy cheesy cheesy

Plantation value as of 31st October
* Palm - N594M (A N109M addition in the October quarter)
* Others - N80.5M

Livestock value as of 31st October
* Pigs - N51.2M (Wait! What! It's in there? shocked shocked . Not really. They didn't quite mention PIGS)
A N31.8M increase in the Oct quarter.

Plant and PEN construction as of 31st October (You may need to look up the meaning of the bolded. Please let me know what you find)
*N256.5M (A N48.5M addition in the October quarter)
* Safe to assume CPO mill construction is included in "Plant".

Hey! If you are free on Thursday say about 11am, while not jump on the Zoom link that will be shared by company for their AGM. It will be live streamed. I hope shareholders that receive this link will be kind enough to share it here. At the very least, it could provide some comic relief for you? The scam shouting fit go next level after the meeting sef. cheesy

Disclaimer - Not a buy or sell recommendation. Ellah fit be just lake o as we no see any photo. DYOR.
