Not at 10% up. Only 7.8m of the 31m bid are above yesterday's closing price.
And how many million on the offer table below the 10%

Are u sure you are monitoring the market, over 30m bids...

It's a game bro, after some profit takers drop finish it will still continue it's upward movement...it may even close on full bid today...

Don't take it personal, market is never a straight line....

Walahi I thought he was talking on neutral mind. I now know better.Any one expecting wapco to hit 100 in a short period is very funny when the deal is not being concluded this yr.That rubbish mind set does not apply to stock like wapco.

Probably he didn't have wapco and need validation to key in which no one will give, you have to be bold enough to make the decision yourself brother.

You guys forgive me for my continued lack of understanding. I'm still seated well inside but im a bit more cautious. I understand they have a valuation of the Ultimate Target Company, that is $1.1-1.6bn but does that mean that is what will necessarily be paid or offered? I'm still yet to fully understand that part in the document, I can't see any mention of the final pricing.

We have pricing for the majority shareholder at about 105 per share based on the $838mn.

Also struggling to understand this line: "Considering the above different valuation methods, the Board views the pricing of the Acquisition as fair and reasonable", is this not referring to the above for the majority shareholder

GeeKudi:
This one is not even a difficult decision to make. We already know the possible valuation of the stock by the ultimate buyer. The worst case scenario is to wait till May.

Guys, i need some clarifications pls.

Placed order on Morgan capital to buy WAPCO at N77.15. Total units requested on that price was filled but at N70.15. I guess because there were no offer at that upper price.

Now i was thinking i should have credit balance in my wallet but nothing is there.

have i lost the difference for bidding higher, even when i got it less at the prices?

The day dollar will fall eh. I just hope people buying dollars to hoard won't regret it sha?
In whatever context you are referring to.

Why will dollar fall ?
and or
What are the things that can make dollar fall ?
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Sunrisepebble: 11:18am On Dec 04, 2024
In the long run the dollar will always appreciate against the Naira. It is just economic fact.
Dollar forever remains dollar, i've never seen anyone regret buying dollar. Unless you are buying for trading purposes, like those looking to make gains on the trade earlier in the year when Naira fought back a little and later depreciated again

One of the things m banking on is this, if 60-80 price is maintained for 3 months which is most likely, we would surely get above 100 or 100 at worst, the rule is clear.

I follow street they expect 150 by faith which I believed is very conservative.

But they paid 105 per share to Holcim, with their valuation of the total company being between 116 to 169. I am still a bit lost on that. Isn't the 105 already a premium from about N40 market price when the deal wasn't yet announced

I did the same this morning with my one of my online brokers and my credit balance is intact. You should contact their customer care or maybe the app/site needs to be 'refreshed'

NGX and the minority shareholders will determine their ideal premium price when that time comes.

For example, someone bought FirstBank at 24 yesterday despite the stock selling at 26 on the floor. That's a negotiated bulk purchase. To the seller, it's still a good price regardless of being lower than the actual value of the stock. Company was valued at N116 - N169 but a substantial part of it was negotiated to N105.

I don't see minority shareholders taking anything less than that N105.

One thing that is sure is they can't buy us out less than the price they paid the majority shareholders except both sec and minority shareholders association are heavily bribed the. We have the 3 months rule to rely on.

The money they will spend to make those manipulations possible with the probabilities that it could fail will not worth it from financial point of view.

Wetin I sabi self.

150 is very conservative...

Pls this is not a recommendation to buy or sell ooo it's just my night class analysis in mcy voice.

Exactly!!
When the minority gets to the bridge they'll cross it.
It's majority shareholders first, let's face that one for now.
Minority can't be paid lesser than Majority, except they'll increase for them self. smiley

* Meanwhile, activities has been going on in UACN for long now.......Cross dealings in volumes yet they're keeping the price down, deliberately probably.....
* HONYFLOUR also getting some attention in the Market........should we be expecting actions from Excelsior as well or it's just responding to positive news?
* Insurance stocks: Some of these are already looking up...

A paragraph before that, they talked about "the value of 100% shares of the ultimate target company...."
This signifies to me that the valuation is for Major + Minor holders.

In the global context. Some analysts for several years have predicted a fall in dollar with respect to global currencies. But the opposite seem to have happened in the last 3 to 5 years.

For Naira, as long as we consume more than we produce locally, the naira is bound to continue falling especially with our rapid population growth relative to the rest of the world.

Log out and log back in.

One thing I know for sure is that as long as it was bought at N70, you will surely see the balance in your account. If not immediately, it will be later, probably after close of business.

Meanwhile, ensure you are looking at the right place too.

Abeg any chairman in the house using investment one app to buy stock, can you please direct me on how to go past "the opt-in" wait period when buying stock there for the first time?

I switched from trove app to investment one so I can have a fast execution, but since I deposited in the account I keep getting "opt-in" when I tried to buy any stock for over 2 weeks now.

My account has been verified and everything is okay with the account. I've seen messages to the investment one customer support regarding the issue but they yet to respond for over 2 weeks now.

Please, what can I do to purchase stocks on the investment one app without it telling me to opt-in everything and declining the trade?

I've been trying in vain to load more for days. So when I started hearing people are selling, people are selling this morning, I seized the opportunity to act accordingly. Got it around 70.15.or more because the price kept going up as I was loading. Because I had to be selling some other stocks. Life is a risk. No wonder we have Bobrisky 😁
