I have not been here for sometime but would like to use this opportunity to encourage everyone. Sales will surely come, be patient!

As we may all be aware, 2024 appeared really slow in terms of sales for many, my expectations were not fully met but I am still grateful to God.

I like to talk about pricing when it comes to domains, from what I see here, many of us tend to quickly jump at an offer, I think if we don't appear desperate, buyers will come.

This week, I sold a domain for $19,000. Before I settled for this amount I had gotten potential buyers coming with $3000, another came with $7000 offer, I rejected, something deep in me wanted me to accept, but my sales instinct told me to reject, 2 weeks later the guy came with $14,000 told him I need at least $15k, he came back thanking me for my time, no longer interested.

Rather than feel bad, I moved on because I was sure that there will always be a buyer.

A week later I got a message from godaddy/afternic that someone wanted to buy the name for $19k, my asking price was $24,000, told the rep to push for a higher amount, came back 2 days later that buyer insists on 19k.

Didn't want to stress myself further, agreed to the sale.

Things to note

Buy good names, buyers will come, I try as much as possible to go for good names, my price range is usually from $20 to $2000. This domain was bought for I believe $800, I have renewed it once.

Don't be desperate to sell

If you are double sure you have a good name, do not be in a hurry to accept low offers, while some may be interested in buying for $10 and reselling for $100, some of us will sell way higher since we are sure of the value of the names.

For me, I sell domains from high 4 figures to 5 figures.

Never ever rely on Godaddy valuation.

Their valuation is meant to "short change" you. Most domains I sold over $30k had valuation of $1500 to $3000 some low ball buyers will be telling you see what godaddy estimates.

Congrats on your sale. And thanks for the heads up and encouragement. But the only thing missing in your report is a sneak peak into the name you sold. That's the reference to the "good name" you emphasized at least twice in your report.
