Wow! Wow!! Wow!!!

You guys may have misinterpreted my posts completely. I'm shocked with your responses. shocked

I grew up a lone guy among so many women - mother, sisters, cousins, aunties - all women. It was common for them to blame hormonal changes when they misbehaved. They used it to get away with so many things. As a man, you are meant to have this understanding and not over-react when a woman snaps "occasionally".

Used in like manner in my response. She is not known to react that way or use such language here in NSEMPA. It's clear it was out of character for her to respond to Mike that way not to talk less of including everyone that liked his post.

Did you notice the reference to Hormones was posed as a question? A rhetoric one she obviously wouldn't answer but that she can relate with as her body undergo these changes regularly. That first line was to let her know I understand why she could have reacted that way and offer her a solution to take a break. I am keen to understand how it's perceived by you guys. As I have explained earlier, I have an understanding of these things and the women in my life (including acquintances) make mention of these changes when it influences their behaviour. Also, my Lagos reference was to make her understand the gravity of her actions while still not being too direct.

Sincerely, I would like to ask the women in here. Did anyone of you feel disrespected by that question? I noticed it the men that have quoted me so far? Mercy, did you find it condescending? Well that could have been a poor attempt at de-escalating an issue while still passing a message to her. I'd appreciate a women's perspective on this. Maybe I'm missing something and if I am, please accept my unreserved apology o.
Na your mouth been wan put you for trouble. There isn’t an explanation that will rationalize your earlier comment. I also share her sentiment about the market yesterday. If your comment was made in response to what she said to @mikeapollo, I wouldn’t have called you out.

Anyways, you done explain and apologize, no need for more talk.
I like the sanity and maturity on this thread as compared to other sections on nairaland and wouldn’t want to trade it for anything else.

Oh! I see where you are coming from. Yes, it was made in response to what she said to Mike. I edited her post to remove the unpleasant part so she could have an opportunity to edit her post later when she's good. That way, there is no trail of it. She has done just that. God know say I no lie when I talk say I have a unique lived-in experience with and an understanding of women........haha.

@Mercy Make we try to dey understand each other and not fight one another unnecessarily. It will be difficult to police or censor what people post here. Mike, Sb, Prophet, Bagwa et al will always be drawn to post about Oando and they should be allowed to do so as much as they wish. Mega can't help but flash teeth. Wetin we go do? cheesy grin We will just have to accommodate a lot of things but if we have to correct, we do it gracefully. They will most likely receive it better that way otherwise, if they are defiant, what can one do?

I am a smart trader. The last corporate announcement from Japaul about the sand deal stated that mining business will start in 2026.The gap between now and 2026 can fetch a smart investor 10m naira or more in other stocks before the Japaul deal commences.

There is choppings in chams now before Japaul which is tomorrow.

When Japaul present an opportunity for Jijo,we will gladly do Jijo.
The Koko for Japaul is the Gold business which I believe can send the price above #10.

Pls don't forget to drop the hint on Japaul if you have.

MTNN
Heavy cross deals.....

That Oga asking about MTNN, hope he was able to pick some @170

I was of the opinion to one of my Ogas that MTNN may not go far lesser than the IPO price again (N169), that they might not allow it to go lower.....
Few intraday buyers got very slim quantities @168/169 before this reversal

WAPCO
Some sell off or we should still call it accumulation?
I hope those retailers selling won't end up making mistake just like some FMN guys did

Dollars speculators are bound to sell their shares because they believed the appreciation of naira is temporary until they discovered its not.

They will come back to the market and pay premium when the reality is done on them..we watch as events unfolds.

The smart investor knows the best place to be based on current realities.

Did they give reason for this long time .As I know you only need to just extract gold from ground and don't have to add additional value to it before you sell.what will the cash raise from PP be doing till 2026

WAPCO
Are some people selling because of the exchange rate?
OR some insiders are deliberately crashing the price to load as much as possible?
OR some top executives or proxies mopping free float as much as possible?
* Just wondering why it's selling lower in market and cross dealing at lower price......
* I thought agreement has already being signed huh

Yesterday (and last Friday), I noticed that some bids with higher prices were still waiting on the queue even when there were lower offer prices. It looked quite strange.

This 2026 is the reason I put Japaul on hold.
I expected them to state that the construction of the Gold factory is ongoing and gold mining will soon commence(2025) but they stated 2026.O di kwa risky with investors PP money.

While I have it as a stock to watch I check for where smart money is going for quicker harvest.

Agreement to deal
Actual signing (which is the closing of the deal).
Between agreement to sell and the closing of a deal are several hurdles.

e.g. Shell has agreed to sell their assets BUT the deal has not been closed... smiley

Why would people be selling because of the exchange rate? As in using the profit to buy USD or they feel the buyout will be smaller? From an exchange rate of 1500, there's stilll more upside

Bought at 70.5 yesterday, I’ll be buying more, wish I could sell off my Tbills and hold WAPCO instead.
Wapco has about 50-60% potential upside (assuming 100 naira sale price at end of 2025) while fixed income is less than 30%.

I think it's in line with international standards. It takes about two years from feasibility studies (PFS and DFS) for a mine to be fully ready for production. An important factor to consider is the availability of capital sha. The first few years is spent building the infrastructure that will support the mine - camp for workers, establishing transport channels - mine to refinery or port, power and water solutions etc. Pretty sure you should be able to see the camp from google earth if you have the coordinates.

I believe Japaul will be starting with a pilot plant to get the cash coming in first. Then they will scale up with time. Point to note though, Japaul is making an entry into this space via acquisition of companies with some existing infrastructure.

The one you are referring to is artisanal mining which is what is prevalent in Nigeria. Dig up the "ore", do basic processing and sell off (usually below actual value). I have seen media coverage of some of these miners.

The bids were nowhere to be found today.
So who are those mopping it up at circa N75?
I sensed some insiders hands here.
Nigerians with all our wayo tactics........wouldn't be surprised if they're mopping it up for the majority holder, HOLCIM, because HOLCIM now appears on their letter headed paper, which I didn't observe before now.
Some men that matters in WAPCO may be mopping up too, who knows. 😊
They'll place some false Offers to force retailers to start panic selling......when done, they move the price up again.
* Just speculating anyway
* Maybe they actually know what we don't know yet...🤔
