Intraday going for 71 when someone came to place heavy bid @72.15 and was filled, quite some rushing up to 73.......very suspicious trades towards COB as well...

Well, with respect to the latest acquisition, we were all waiting to see the result for the quater ending September 2024. When you look at the figures for this quater in comparison with Q3 2023, you see a significant change from negative to ove 13bn.

For me, I'd wait for an official press release on the results before I comment. The operation numbers that would drive the turnaround will be in the press statement. These are the numbers I'd like to see to understand the Q3 and where Oando is headed. Also, make we hear wetin Wale wan talk for AGM. Hopefully, the shares to be distributed are known by the end of the meeting.

The segment reporting provides the best perspective to understanding Oando's business. The E&P remains the cash cow. Trading & Corporate bleeding the company as usual. Oando needs to put its house in order and rein in expenses.

Notwithstanding, Oando might not be trading at these levels for long. Here is why, balance sheet is being cleaned up and may flip to positive in subsequent quarters with profitability increasing too. Market will likely begin to apply Aradel/Seplat PE to determine SP. A quick maths indicates a triple digit figure of c. N143 based on Aradel current PE and Oando's reported EPS.

Hey! I didn't say Oando's result is comparable to Aradel's but that market will bet on a sustained recovery to push valuation to this level.

If you haven't already realised, the market loves Recovery/Turnaround/Underdog stories.

Ah! And I said I'd wait o. See epistle. Sigh!!!
