Aradel making us proud and making the XMas a memorable one for us. Oando should learn how to manage a mega corporation without political-like gimmicks and media sensationalization. |

mikeapollo:I don’t think the people with the financial power to move the stock fail to understand the implications. I believe they are considering factors beyond what you’re currently seeing, and when those factors are resolved, they will act. Also, consider that by knocking off a major holder, they have systematically increased the free float. This means more shares will be traded randomly than before, as more shares will be in the hands of retail investors, even though the overall share count will remains the same. ![]() |

Don't forget NNPCL belongs to the government. They can slash theirs by 50% and it will not affect their personal pockets, as it is government's money. Dangote cannot win a price war with them. We the consumers will be the winners though. In fact, I believe the coming of DR has already helped us. Without it fuel could be selling for over #1,500 by now, if we are left with only NNPCL and the import cabals. And definitely, whatever work the PHR is doing now will not be there without the DR coming on stream. mikeapollo: |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by mikeapollo: 10:55am On Dec 19, 2024 |
Raider76:Theoretically speaking you are correct. But this is a government that has demonized subsidy and made it look as if it is a crime for petrol to be sold cheap for citizens to buy. It will be interesting to see how NNPCL would be able to go into a price war with Alhaji and bring down the price of petrol to around N700 per liter after they had arm-twisted him and manipulated the petrol price to as high as N1,200 per liter. |

I wanted to buy alongside my Mansard but when I see the average daily volume and the amount of units I wanted to buy, it made no sense to hold that number of units and not be able to cash out down the line. They will be big acquirers when this Insurance recapitalization happens and I know a stockbroking firm that has been seriously buying this week NFA/DYOR jideflash: |

It could be as you mentioned but I think it’s due to recap talk to be honest. I spoke to someone who has done the analysis on the sector a few weeks back in case any M&A is to occur. AIICO, Leadway and Sanlam were in strong positions to be acquirers. Mansard was on his list of companies that could be acquired. Re: AIICO, the reason the trader gave was that clients think they’ll be beneficiaries that’s why they were buying Streetinvestor2: |

Youngzedd:I swear... Wale run AGM, investors hit am with massive selloff. Many felt investors didn't interprete the messages from the AGM properly but the truth is that investors are indifferent about this Oando. They are not just interested at the moment. Even with the great ENI AGIP assets they acquired, they can't still raise the company from it ashes. The management team at Oando are politicians. Aradel share price was seriously hit after listing on the NGX but they never ran to the media to whip up sentiment to sure up their share price. They maintained their cool and focused on growing their brand and today, they are back on winning ways. |

I am not particularly sure there is anyone here who wants to listen to you to make investment decision. You say it white this moment , the next moment you change the colour to black. If you want to speak, don't spread falsehood. There was never and there has not been any sell off after the AGM. Like I said, we will all be here to read a totally dofferent line of postulations from you sooner than later. designking: |
