From now till the end of the year, I’m still looking for a good entry into Nahco, might buy some more Transcorp and if MTNN trades @ 190 or below again, I’ll look to add more.

These are my stocks for 2025 though:
UGAZ
Presco
MTNN
Seplat (on LSE)
Transcorp
Vitafoam
NAHCO
Nigerian Breweries
Aradel (@ attractive entry)

On the radar/ More research to be done on: Nipco, Okitipupa, Maybaker, UACN and Unilever

What are we buying from now till the end of the year?
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Sunrisepebble: 7:44pm On Dec 26, 2024
The GOPDC palm oil plant they are acquiring in Ghana is what will be used for export which will bring in USD and Euros, about $6m using a N1,600 exchange rate. At the moment I think they mostly serve the domestic market.

vacanci:
i have been thinking to give up on accumulating Presco the moment the price moved above N430 .

Do they really export Palm oil?

i here it's all consumed locally.

What do you think is the outlook in price appreciation

Good. You're my type of person. I don't care who you voted for. Or where you were born. I speak all 3 major Nigerian languages. The people who I work with know I don't care about their ethnicity, religion, gender, or sexual orientation. I care about results.

So: When/how will we know that the policies are working?

Streetinvestor2:
You can see your reasoning. You think everything is based on tribalism. I don't hide my ID.Many here know I am igbo/imo state.
You think I voted obi because he is igbo. Then you need brain check.I will vote Tinubu over rochas, supreme Court governor of my state and the both kalu of Abia state. That Prof in Anambra is under performing based on what I had expected. That I didn't vote T pain because i never so him as the best for the job.I still support his two policy and the third on the move. And would have supported it even if it came from anyone else..I grew up having more hausa, yoruba than igbos as friends .I no get time for tribal nonsense .

I only said I support the removal of subsidy on dollars and fuel.i equally support the the present tax reform. I will support it from anyone as the president. And thr is no time best to have done it.i wished it was done as far back as obj tenure.

Excellent picks if got during sales prices....you are my type of investor!
However, how does Vitafoam make money?
Is it only from selling foams and to whom, please?
It's the only one I don't have and they have actually done well over the last few years... cool

VITAFOAM is into a variety of other things like oil filters for automobiles, furnitures etc

Not recommending it as I've held it which I bought at below #10

What of MRS which seems to be Dangote’s major retail outlet company?
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Sunrisepebble: 10:12pm On Dec 26, 2024
Interesting, why FBNH over Access? With FBNH to be honest I could see Femi carrying it back to N40 but I like a lean portfolio and already have 4 banking stocks. It’s why I don’t fuss too much about missing Fidelity PO even though it’s almost returned 100%. With Access I’m playing the veryy long game

Firstly, learn to criticize constructively and table your points/opinions without abuse in the future because most of the regular contributors on this forum are well informed and above pettiness.

Calling them senseless and other unpleasant names is a disservice to the selfless services they have rendered on this platform over the years

Secondly, most of your proposals have been tried and tested in the past without much success. Logically, the current administration has decided to depart from the old populist subsidy policies by pressing the reset button - ‘scatter everywhere first’.

Most of us believe it’s a necessary evil and a step in the right direction. Some progress has been recorded depending on sectors. For example in Education, students from poor families are now accessing interest free loans for the first time

Thirdly, we need some time to judge if the new policies are working and can fine tuned accordingly. However, I agree with you that the cost of governance is still high and should be reduced going forward

Lastly, I believe BAT a former MD of Mobil, former senator and governor understands our terrain better than previous presidents. He knows going after the ‘cabals’ is an exercise in futility, dude probably benefited from the lapses in the subsidy regime in the past

PBAT is definitely not playing politics with these policies because he knows they are unpopular and may not get him reelected in 2027. Therefore, someone else may end up taking the credit for his sacrifice

Just my opinions, I may be wrong

currentprice:
compliment bro. I can see you are eager to know the FP of uacn from your post over few days... bear in mind, given a fair value here does not mean the stock will get to that price or the price will not go above the fp. the koko is enter a good company and get out at your target... valuation of a company is continuous... FP may worth N10 this quarter and worth less or more in the next quarter report... I remember when I gave alert on Nacho @ less than N6.. as it then my valuation price was N26. I personally sold mine at N27. today the price is N46 .

for me I do try to carry good researches and seek some of my Ogas opinions on a stock before pointing it out. I will never come here to point out a stock based on hope or MH, UACN has been below N10 for some months but never worth pointing out based on my bedsheet.. no alert of such but when it move close to N20 and the FA look good on bedsheet grin, it become attractive for Alert.

..to your post on UACN fp, my bedsheet based on their latest report so far is N45 it could get better or worst with new information any time

grin grin grin grin grin grin
Thanks for this Chief. I used to deduce FPs using dividend, inflation rates, etc. I have not been up to date with my FA skills recently and UACN isn't particularly a good dividend stock. I entered the stock sometime last year and was happy when I see you recommend it again.

Don't change the subject
This is about the failure in Aso Rock delivering sub optimal outcomes for Nigerians

N15.4 trillion IN ANNUAL DEFICIT is a disgrace no matter how much u wanna white wash it

That was GEJ total budget for three years (this is a statistical fact, that you can fact check and process, if your brain has the brain power for such exercise)

Like it. is said on the street, no be by "cho cho cho"
Show workings....
And the workings so far. 18 months into a dismal presidency, has been nothing but a failure and a disgrace

I am bullish on MTN

I have said it on several occasions that I am allocating a decent sum towards MTN, Airtel Africa and Nestle /NB

I have "patient capital" so I can wait it out
These companies I argue, are about to unshackle themselves from the huge forex losses that ate into their net assets, as well as huge finance cost incurred (esp NB)

Q4 2025 into Q1 2026...... We feast!!!!!

if the price goes even N1 below 600

Well done bro for agreeing to quit the ramblings. I’m with you in Airtel and NB already. I don’t trust the management of MTN in Nigeria due to many factors and past events involving government fines

Additionally, the last poor result as a result of FX losses may have been exaggerated because the company seems to be making huge profits in other developing countries similar to ours.

I also don’t understand why Nestle is declaring huge losses when Unilever and co in the same sector are doing well

Just my opinion oo!

They were not allowed to increase tariff in the presence of the unrelenting inflation and naira depreciation. It's impossible not to make losses since they use services of firms and plants that charge in dollars. I saw they have been allowed recently. So, supposedly, they will increase prices of their services and begin breaking even.
