Biofuel. We are still struggling to produce palm oil with a maximum of 5% fat constituent at scale. Don't take palm oil from common man oo. The egusi soup will no longer bang!!

A good fund hedging idea though.
Reason why 1.5 litres sold for N900 last year December is now. N3500

Ellah Lakes is targeting to start palm oil production in the first half of 2025. The company is also targeting palm kernel oil production in the future as it looks to consolidate its revenue base.

The truth is that it will take ellah at least 3 years from now to achieve this feat. Palm plantation don't grow overnight, it takes at least 4 years for an average oil palm to reach fruition. The crucial question to ask is, when did ellah planted their oil palm plantation? This will help in determining when to buy the stock for capital appreciation.
From the link earlier shared

Since its acquisition of Telluria Farms, a 2,400-hectare oil palm plantation in Edo State in 2019, Ellah Lakes has transformed its operations to focus on oil production. However, the three-ton mill, which was paid for in 2022, is yet to commence operations

But I agree with you that ellahlakes is on a long thing. Their debt conversion could also mean they will be diluting in near future sef. However since there is existing palm plantation let's hope it won't be up to 3 years before they commence real production.

Yeah thanks. Going by it's general chart pattern, it's most likely to reverse.
However, it might break all barriers and not reverse; but you won't want to risk it.

... as in seriously, anyone who is comparing the absolute value of money in just figures ... to be modest, should not be here or talk whenever economics is being discussed. There is a time value of money, there is inflation and these are not Nigerian things but universal principles.
I'm glad u are now making the comparison between. nominal and real value of money

That was an indirect way of showcasing the failure and uselessness of the APC....
If within the space of ten years
what two administrations ago spent in three years is what this current useless govt is incurring as deficits in one year alone, that is testament to the uselessness and failure of these APC bandits.....
.Another supporting fact . the NGN has lost over 90% of its value since these crooks took power

From NGN211/$ to NGN1700/$
Thats on the failure and incompetence of those bozos you dishonest ppl like to support and hail....

Respect yourselves and us on this forum, don't insult our sensibilities

Even if you want ro talk of the % of the deficit in comparison to the total budget, that is another shambolic and shameful statistc
So, again, don't insult our sensibilities

APC should take the L as the failures that they are and continue to play rofo rofo politics, by feeding their useless and dumb tribalistic followers and supporters the bigoted talking points that they are accustomed to

Rubbish

Is there a dividend reinvestment plan in Nigeria?

To the best of my knowledge..... unfortunately not

Your dividend goes straight into your bank account, unlike the UK style here where the money rests in your brokerage acct, making drip difficult
I make the extra effort of aggregating the dividends recieved, and then channelling a proportion of it to the money market fund investments that yield me over 20% Per annum

As this administration has decided to be useless, by chasing rats by hiking MPR back to back to back, plus high T bills returns, its not out of order to profit from their foolishness 🙄

Hoping the exchange rate holds steady or slips 5 to 10% max, I'm still making a net gain

Nigeria Brewery and Stanbic IBTC are the 2 companies on NGX with DRIP
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Sunrisepebble: 1:26pm On Dec 27, 2024
The tariff increase is still coming next year regardless. I was a bit skeptical of the percentage increase in the initial tech cabal article though

Buying ke my oga.We don buy finish till new fund enter January

Pls I need your opinion and others on this three brokers
1 stanbic brokers
2 cardinal stone
3 ucap brokers
I want to open a new account so I can move my account from another house.I can not sell because my long time bond is way housed in that account
I want a broker I can be using my account for leverage for investments sometimes
I want a broker who customer service is above average and have good platform for me to trade myself
Thr commission charge should be reasonable but not picking the highest aproved brakect in the industry.
A broker that is equal to the task to make sure they move out my account when I open account with them.
Pls if you use any of the three brokers. I need your opinion. I would equally wish to reinvest my wapco money via any if the delisting still stands. I will like to open the account this January

For this NGX, irrespective of the analysis and counter analysis, stocks only make significant movement when the owners want it to move. Full stop.

United securities (UCAP) offers short-term leverage with good customer service. I think the commission should be closer to the upper bound. I don't know exactly what the percentages are because it doesn't bug me. Na people like Loco wey dey dash broker money go dey scrutinize 3-4%
