It is called hit or miss.
Sometimes, when you have a large quantity of stock, getting partnership or contract with the company becomes so easy.

As it stands now,I may have more ideas of what is happening in chams or privilege info but may not disclose to anyone and I may not find it so easy to sell about 23m units of chams in my custody without informing the mgt.All I need is the growth of chams and it's share price which is inevitable in a space of 12 months.

Loco is now an investor in chams and will always add up when I sense a very strong improvements in the group.
Dem suppose make you director

While one can make money from them, I personally do not own any Insurance stock outside Mansard and if I’m to jump into any other it’ll be AIICO.

I’ve started buying my mid to long term stocks in NAHCO and Vitafoam at the tail end of last year and will continue to do so at attractive entry points throughout the year.

I still hold large positions in UGAZ, Aradel, Seplat, Total and WAPCO, of which I’m hearing our deal should near completion by the end of Q1 this year.

I wish us all the best in 2025 and of course, I’ll be on hand for any early information grin

With time and progress of partnership you can become a non executive Director or get a representative but none of these is in the agreement

The volume of today speaks a lot on what to expect tomorrow.
In all,try to make it 1m units which you will exchange at 4 or 5m naira in a short term.
On a long run ,your 1m units will turn to 15m naira.
Think about it this night and take action by 10am tomorrow.

It seems they want to bring NNPC to the market this year hence they are tidying things.

Raider76:
The speed with which NNPCL responded to the OBJ interview shows how high the stakes are for them. They just have to be able to say the refineries have been repaired, and are working, incase anybody asks for those $2b mentioned by OBJ in the interview back.

Are you aware that a giant financial institution want to buy a substantial stake in one of the subsidiaries of chams group at above 20B naira?
The talk is in progress.

It amuses me that chams as a group is below 10B naira market capitalization. When the true value of chams group reflects on the financials, you will see a 40-65B naira market capitalization for CHAMS.

Fingers are crossed in 2025.observaton mode was activated 2 or 3 months ago.

An observation.🤔

VFD received an unusual dose of attention last week (today inclusive)
The Corporate Disclosure just confirmed that the top management acquired quite a number of shares before the closed period.

Na wa. Haven't your balls descended yet? You're too easily triggered: Every disagreement with you turns into a knife fight in the dark to the death. Can't I appreciate someone's analyses and disagree with him on his conclusions?

Stop taking everything so personally abeg. Buy Chams if you want.

Wow, solid selection there: Industry leaders with strong market positions or USD revenues. Even in the relatively nascent insurance sector. People, take lessons from a pro.

VitaFoam is an interesting choice. Could you help us understand what value you see there?

I took out the poor Q2 performance which was due to FX losses and then annualised the earning using the other three quarters.

I think what you are missing in your analysis is that you're looking at it on a full year basis. The Q2 loss was bad. Look at it on a quarter on quarter basis The earnings per share in the last two quarters individually are almost the same as the full year EPS in the previous financial year
Even if we add the forex loss back = 12.3b and give PAT of around 14b and divide by outstanding shares the FY EPS = #1.1 which is still far low compared to previous years report.
In 2020, Revenue was 23b, net profit 4b. That is 17% net margin compared to 2024 revenue of 82.6b that is about 4X of 2020 and profit of just 1.3b and net margin profit of 1%.
EPS fell from #3+ from 2020 to 2023 to 29 kobo in 2024. That is disaster.
While vitafoam remains a good stock, i just feel it is too expensive for the current price.
My opinion though

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Sunrisepebble: 8:36pm On Jan 02, 2025
Anytime I try to reply @emmaodet with my Vitafoam analysis. My post is always removed, not sure why.
I believe there are strong underlying numbers there.
If you look at the normalized earnings per share ie excluding Q2 where they made huge FX losses due to naira devaluation. The Quarter 3 and 4 earnings per share are a lot stronger and I believe if they sustain it then it’s very undervalued. My source also has an insider who says they’re making good money this year.

I forgot to mention Presco in my previous post. A slow mover but will also be looking to add more if or when the price drops. I have the patient capital for what will be a potential #1k stock

HesInMe:

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Sunrisepebble: 8:46pm On Jan 02, 2025
Edit: I forgot to mention my MTNN and Presco. I’m optimistic on these two based on Tariff increase for the former and Ghana Acquisition for the latter.

MTNN CEO was on Arise today and says they’ve proposed a 100% tariff increase (I doubt this will be approved) but he’s confident that it will happen this year and he’s generally optimistic about the environment. If it trades below 190 again, I’ll be looking to add more. I think based on FY 25 numbers, it should be back at N250-300. However, my analysis is based on a 40% tariff increase and stable FX rate. It’s a company that controls 50% of the market share and one of the biggest tax and GDP contributors. The FG will have to bend to them someway and that’s why it was a no brainer for me when it fell to N169

Presco with the Ghana Acquisition for Export and USD/Euro revenue is a no brainer for a company that already has Gross margins of 72% and CPO prices are expected to trade slightly higher this year

Im in no rush with those two and they will be main stays in my portfolio for years to come.
