NGX.

Apart from April 2024, I make more than 7% each month. So I'm good.

Ultimately though, I want to get it down to 5%, then for me, it will be a sort of asset management, where I get clients' funds indirectly through banks.

I've always wanted to own a fund that pays 5% guaranteed monthly, this way, I don't have to canvass for funds, and I can scale gradually.

Like what happens when I start doing N1bn or N10bn in trades monthly? Can I still make 1 to 1.5%?

My advice to all Nsempa members.

Use this bull or repricing season to gain financial freedom.

It is not good to invest or run a business on loan especially this time the interest rate is high.

At the end you make little or no profit.

I have been called for margin loans twice but I never care to listen to it because I don't have the strength to gamble with another person's money.
Recommendations....

I already have chamS though.

Actively trading since 2018.
The costly loan just started last year.

I would prefer to use my own funds and keep the extra 7% to my self though, but that COVID time Emefiele crashed rates, I liquidated my investment to go do real estate, now $42,000 in, house never still finish. I've decided to phase is sha, the little units finished are already doing $1000/$1100 in rental income.

That's what drained my liquidity.

Bear market?

My own definition of bear market is when market is slow sha. Like when I struggle to trade N5m in a whole week. Usually as long as I make trades, I make gains.

But sometimes you bid, and you nor dey see market buy. Sometimes too, some positions crash on you and tie your money down. And sometimes you exit and position and it goes on to gain 50% more in a matter of days.

My own is to focus on driving volume and maintaining my 1.5% margin.

Later if NGX give API access for free or at an inexpensive price, I'll like to experiment with automating my trades with code(Python).
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by awesomeJ(m): 9:30pm On Jan 04, 2025
See what I mean by volume.

90 entries in my statement already first 2 trading days.

Those 90 entries represent close to 250 individual trades, given that MCSE groups trades by price.

I would really like to put the algorithm into a Python script. So I can scale. If NGX can give API access using our CSCS credentials. Even if they want to charge 100k per month for individual investors.

I will be collecting in future because I will time it to pay back with anticipated dividend from my existing portfolio. This is to help me position in some kind companies before full yr results are made public. This is when I am convinced the stock can do 30% from anticipated good full yr result within a reasonable time frame too.

Yes and No, Omatek is a great IT company into hardware and IT services. One of the few that gave zinox a run for its money, they came out of a major financing deficit late 2023. I expect the effect of that to be happening this year.

Ask them o. After reading that one person bet the house in the village on it, and not wanting to miss out, I went and looked at the financials for this "tech company." Once I saw 20% gross margins, mainly from card production and biometric equipment (fingerprint scanners?), I just stopped.

That's gross margins on sales o, not net profit margin, after like 30 years in business, about half of them as a publicly listed company.

I want compensation for the time wasted.

emmaodet said 30% per anum/15% for 6 months.

To me 15% for 6 months is more expensive than 30% per anum.

Oga Emma you can help explain this.
I want to get knowledge on this as I have some people to give small small loans now.
You can try Meritem's Margin loan , which is currently 29% per annum, and the interest rate is deducted monthly, based on the amount used.
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by HesInMe: 10:44pm On Jan 04, 2025
I doubt it. According to NAICOM, the industry regulator, the total gross written premiums in Nigeria in Q2 2024 exceeded N800bn. So this incremental government premium, perhaps ~N10bn, or ~1% increase in industry premium revenue, is unlikely to justify the frenzy of buying in the sector.

SMH. Typical Nigerian: Clueless about a subject, but will still argue about it like tenured professor. Because.

awesomeJ:
Tution? I'm sure if anyone has learned from the other here, you're the learner.

Is GDP a measure of the quantity of goods produced or a measure of the value?.

Get your points to be coherent na, you don't have to comment if you're not knowledgeable about something.

You yourself gave an analogy that shows the value has increased from N100m to N200m but you claim since the quantity didn't increase from 10,000 tonnes then no GDP growth.

Come on na, no be value be GDP again, have they changed the definition to quantity?

As long as you understand that the value should be showing N200m from the old N100m, you've gotten my point. What you should explain if you have an answer is why NBS is showing the value as N110m.

You can also consider selling your assets and fix the money at Wema alat fixed deposit then go for goal based loan at 13.3% interest rate for up to 12 months.

This one better pass assets backed loan at 30% from ucap

I don do the Wema alat goal based loan for 2 or 3 times.Simply the best
