SonofElElyonRet:You brought this advert into a stock discussion thread, and when it was criticized, you should have ignored it. Instead, you chose to argue, despite being wrong from the beginning. Can you explain how this is relevant to Nigerian stocks, or are you just trying to cause chaos here? |

emmanuelewumi:This is so sad to hear.It is so unfortunate. What they expected is not what they are getting over thr. They are now taking that route to survive. They have nothing here to fall back to in case because they sold everything..I have a friend like that oh.He even went by road after crossing many countries. He finally entered but has been in one of those holding camp.He is so scared because trump may likely deport them.By route he spent close to 15M and all the risk associated. |

emmanuelewumi:No, I do not have CSCS online. Also, I do not have the same Clearing House Number for both stockbroking accounts. Is it always better to maintain the same CHN even when you open a new stockbroking account? How does that work? |

SonofElElyonRet:Bros are you sure you know what you're marketing? Do you actually know how the real estate market in the US works? Closing costs alone on a $250k house will run you $10k minimum. How many people in Nigeria get $10k to throw away like that? No worry, after they don tidy your money, your eyes go clear well. |

essentialone1:It is better to maintain the same CHN. With that if you subscribe to CSCS online you can view all your shares with the various stockbrokers and also see the total valuation of the shares |

Ades1:The guy no gree with everything I told him.He believe everything it takes to enter usa he will do..A guy with a wife and 2 kids. The first movement to Brazil na by air.The subsequent na by road, water and jungle till Mexico border. Then into USA.Then in holding camp whr they are trying to go through court proceedings to see if they can get papers. The funny part he has failed the first interview and scheduled for second. Then trump happened and saying part of his campaign promise is mass deportation when he resumes office..Thr was a time no communication for a week because they whr trying to cross one jungle..Then another is when he entered the holding camp because all thr phones whr taken. Till one day he called the wife with line provided. Walahi I will never try such risk to go make money |

Ades1:That is why e dey target stock market investors. Once he don collect his commission, you are on your own. I checked out the town on the internet, it has a population of 150k, has a University and the population of the town started decreasing about 10 years ago. A reducing population is not good for real estate investment I am sure Sagamu Ogun State has a population that is more than 150k. The average cost of a condo is between $150k to $240k depending on the areas of town and size |

This! So many other costs that come with owning a house, that I don’t think it’s worth the hassle for someone who is not a multimillionaire in USD. All the legal fees, insurance, taxes, maintenance add up esp for a first time buyer I once thought of putting my FCY into a property abroad to be earning rental income but in the end I jejely settled for my Eurobonds and US stocks Ades1: |

Ades1:Mr people are buying properties in Nigeria worth over a billion in ikoyi. Semi detached or detached house. The cheapest you'll see now is say N600m for old one in Parkview. New ones off Turnbull N850m minimum for semi detached. 3 bedroom flat in ikoyi already going for N400m. Overall will the investment in the US property be more profitable in terms of rental income and in view of mortgage by a us lender. You seem now to be saying it is more reasonable to get over 20% interest loan in Nigeria than get mortgage from US. There's no broker's fee payable by buyer for this property in USA. The CEO of the developers is a lawyer in the US and you have no idea the concessions he might be prepared to give on the legal documentation costs. I'm not forcing anyone but the eagerness to condemn based on subjective reasoning and without being fully seised of the facts is unfortunate. Shalom |

I have a situation too regarding UNIC INSURANCE. I had substantial shares when it was suspended from then NSE, and when later NIACOM withdrew their license. Even though they were said to have been taken over by a South African company, there was no talk of paying off shareholders. So I thought I lost my money. But recently I got to see my account with the Registrar, and my shares are there listed and valued. Of course, the shares are no longer listed with my broker and CSCS. The company was never liquidated, to my knowledge, but only had their license withdrawn. What could be the explanation of this? essentialone1: |

SonofElElyonRet:You keep hammering that this CEO is a practicing lawyer bla bla bla, does that mean he can't be a scammer? Elon is the richest man in the world, he still runs a few scams lol (if you know, you know) Fact that a practicing lawyer will leave a market as big and as profitable as America and targeting Nigerians is already a red flag to me. |
