This is so sad to hear.It is so unfortunate. What they expected is not what they are getting over thr.They are now taking that route to survive.They have nothing here to fall back to in case because they sold everything..I have a friend like that oh.He even went by road after crossing many countries. He finally entered but has been in one of those holding camp.He is so scared because trump may likely deport them.By route he spent close to 15M and all the risk associated.

You brought this advert into a stock discussion thread, and when it was criticized, you should have ignored it. Instead, you chose to argue, despite being wrong from the beginning. Can you explain how this is relevant to Nigerian stocks, or are you just trying to cause chaos here?

On a particular stock, my statement of account from the Registrar, shows that I still have some units of shares in that company.

But on my CSCS Statement of Account, no record of it. Also, on my trading portfolio, with my stockbroker, no record of it.

I have contacted CSCS to resolve it, they asked me to contact my Stockbroker.

I have contacted the Registrar about it, they also asked me to contact my Stockbroker.

But my Stockbroker has no record of the stock, as it says, I have already sold off all the units I had, since long ago.

Note since then till now, I have been receiving dividends from this company, but no sign of it, on my Trading Portfolio.

How can this be resolved?

The guy no gree with everything I told him.He believe everything it takes to enter usa he will do..A guy with a wife and 2 kids.The first movement to Brazil na by air.The subsequent na by road,water and jungle till Mexico border. Then into USA.Then in holding camp whr they are trying to go through court proceedings to see if they can get papers. The funny part he has failed the first interview and scheduled for second. Then trump happened and saying part of his campaign promise is mass deportation when he resumes office..Thr was a time no communication for a week because they whr trying to cross one jungle..Then another is when he entered the holding camp because all thr phones whr taken. Till one day he called the wife with line provided.

Mr people are buying properties in Nigeria worth over a billion in ikoyi. Semi detached or detached house. The cheapest you'll see now is say N600m for old one in Parkview. New ones off Turnbull N850m minimum for semi detached. 3 bedroom flat in ikoyi already going for N400m. Overall will the investment in the US property be more profitable in terms of rental income and in view of mortgage by a us lender. You seem now to be saying it is more reasonable to get over 20% interest loan in Nigeria than get mortgage from US. There's no broker's fee payable by buyer for this property in USA. The CEO of the developers is a lawyer in the US and you have no idea the concessions he might be prepared to give on the legal documentation costs. I'm not forcing anyone but the eagerness to condemn based on subjective reasoning and without being fully seised of the facts is unfortunate. Shalom

You keep hammering that this CEO is a practicing lawyer bla bla bla, does that mean he can't be a scammer? Elon is the richest man in the world, he still runs a few scams lol (if you know, you know)

Fact that a practicing lawyer will leave a market as big and as profitable as America and targeting Nigerians is already a red flag to me.
