When requesting assistance from a customer agent who probably has tens or hundreds of other people to attend to you need to provide as many details as possible. That customer care agent probably has about 200 or 300 other people on the queue and his productivity on the job will be assessed based on the number of people he attended to in a day. It is your responsibility to provide the exact name of the branch of the bank in question |

Poor manners, you have a problem and not armed with details to get the best of service. If you were smart, you'll know that the person attending to you is in Lagos and not PH but you're so bitter that you couldn't provide something as BASIC as a branch name and you have Google on your phone. You then come here for us to applaud you. If you approach my desk with a complaint of visiting a branch, it's your duty to give me the branch name to enable me reach out to the right person. If there are 3 branches in the area mentioned, the person should reach out to all the branches in the area at the expense of others on the queue with perfect details that can aid service delivery. ThugCheetah:I didn't see how the customer service rep was rude. You were the one who was rude. Before contacting customer care, there are certain information you should have ready because there are always many other customers on the queue. Your bank details is always important. If it is a transaction issue, have the receipt ready. Usually what they need is the Transaction ID. In this case that they want the name of the branch, you can tell them you don't know it, and politely ask if they could help you in getting the branch name. If you are polite to them, they will be more willing to help you. For example, if you write: "I didn't take note of the name, but it is in Rumuola, the customer service rep can ask more questions that would help him or her find the bank branch in question. Never forget that these people attend to hundreds of customers in a day. Always have certain info ready to make their jobs easier so that they can be able to provide better services to you. |

You were wrong and should apologize. They are human beings like you and they can lose their jobs if they release information to the wrong account holder. So before you judge them, ask yourself, is this the way I will like to be addressed if I were on the other side? If you didn't know the answer to a question, you could have just said "I don't know". |

You people don’t understand, this bank doesn’t have customer care, when you message them you have to wait three hours before it’s your turn, so when this happened instead of them to at least tell me how I can know the branch name they basically said my time is up and they’re closing the live chat service, so I would have to wait another 5 hours. This OP is funny, you claim to work at customer care but not as a Customer Service personnel which is different. With your acclaimed experience, how did you not know that the branch name is necessary in information gathering from complainant? Just go to a physical branch and continue with your thuggery. Empty vessels makes the loudest noise. Most customers with poor attitude....are never BIG TICKET customers. Low account turnover but will be rude, condescending... |
