Good evening everyone.

Please I need advise I bought 150,000units of champion since last year February, I am stuck with the stock, I have been waiting patiently for it to improve so I can let it go but rather I am on still on 5% lost of my capital.

My question here is should I just sell it off with a lose and buy a dividend paying stock or should I still give it a time?

Your advises will be highly appreciated.

Thank You
If you're not in serious need of funds wait it out, the stock market is cyclical eventually it would rise up back if you're patient enough. The only question is when but if you can wait it out you'd eventually gain from it.

Cardinal stone has done the maths for us.
When I’m opportuned I will try to do the analysis on how it will affect the earnings of Presco when acquisition is completed. The margins of the Ghana company look healthy but a bit weaker than Presco’s
Let me also tag @emmaodet in case he has time on his hands
Using 2023 as a reference -
Revenue was 24.6b Gross profit was 59.3% and operating profit 41.5%

Presco revenue for 2023 was 102.4b, roughly 100%more than what GOPDC generated, Gross profit 64% and Operating profit 57.8%.
I will assume with this, Presco revenue should increase by 50% but since they posted that farm size will increase by 19%, then it is safe to predict that revenue will increase around that figure too

To be owed $225.8m by just one debtor o! Not to mention others, and still be standing is no mean feat! Other institutions would have collapsed teytey!
The story says the suit against Hydrocarbons and some of its listed directors is at the instance of FBN and FBNQuest. And I have to say that it's not a surprise. Femi Otedola is tit for tating Nduka Obaigbena. The moment I read the THISDAY fribt page story of yesterday screaming about calls by some unnamed directors of the bank for EGM that is supposedly meant to get rid of Otedola, I immediately knew that all gloves had come off.

It's interesting how revelations tumble out when elephants fight. Otedola, Hassan-Odukale, Otudeko on the one hand and now Otedola vs Obaigbena on the other. This promises a lot on paper but trust me it's not more than a storm in a tea cup. They'll all patch up things soon enough and nothing more will be heard of this or that, going forward.

This criminal allegedly. You are quick to point out the useless SA business which deserve to be kicked out of Nigeria. They only listed because the government forced them. The company has been a condict pipe to repatriate money to SA.They became listed and started posting rubbish results. They said pay as you go was impossible till glo lunched. They introduce uneducation programs to destroy Nigeria youths. They stole Nigerians blind with sim card I bought at 23k.
You must be a criminal from SA.Na thunder go kill you as you market that SA business here. The government need to send them packing and not increasing tariff.
You keep shouting rubbish margin for a company with negative shareholders fund.Ar what price was the criminal company listed after splitting the shares unreasonable to steal from Nigerian investment public. What has investors really benefited from the useless company both in dividend and appreciation post listing.
You are on point. They always post rubbish result to scam Nigeria shareholders and use fraudulent means to repatirate real profit to South African owners.

I noticed people are picking champion as well. Threw a few hundred thousand units in the ring @4.19 and I was surprised how everything cleared up. Hopefully the pump will be major!
Champion Breweries presently a Buy, Hold, or Sell?

I don't fully agree with the bolded.

Power tussle, especially for the mantle of Nigeria's premier bank, can be very dirty...

It appears that a lot of them don't even know how the market works. I think most of them will get burnt and run back to where they came from.

Most insurance stocks will return back to where they started from.

Their fundamentals have not changed and also there are no solid information yet concerning their recapitulation.... The current rapid price growth will be short lived.

I don't know what drove sunu to that extent. If there is any insurance stock to loose 100% in value,it's sunu.

Other insurance stocks will be trading at equilibrium for a longer time. They have already repriced and need to sustain the current prices.
Their pullback will always be a minor one 10-30% which makes them a Jijo stocks in 2025.

Let's keep our fingers crossed and watch
