It is based on P.A. prophetic analysis 🤣🤣🤣

Comparing Chams with Moniepoint is so wild, I'm not even going to bother to say why.

Buy Chams if you want. Maybe if they nab a big government gig, the stock will rally. But please stop calling a pig a unicorn.

Omooloriredade:
Pretty sure you have asked this question before and I infer from your posting you don't see value in Chams. Apologies if that's a wild assumption.

Loco, the Chams ambassador, has been overwhelming us with his "FA' for a while. I suppose you are yet to be convinced.

Unfortunately, I don't have an opinion on the FA yet but Chams remains on my watchlist.

Moniepoint Inc, now valued at over $1B, does remind me of the potential in Chams though so we continue with DD.

Disclaimer - I do not hold Chams (yet) and I'm not recommending a trade.

A great deal of investing is on par with the instinct that makes a fish bite on an inedible spinner because it is moving.
The fish reasons: "The last thing I ate was moving, it was good. This thing is moving, it must be good"
The Investor reasons: "The last stock I bought was riding. it was good. This stock is riding, it must be good"

I remember when you started, and I admire your dedication—it truly gives you strength. I tried doing all of this myself and failed. It’s not hard, but it’s tedious and requires a lot of commitment. I think some people actually make a living from this. With enough capital, you can even play the markets full-time.

As for me, I’m too lazy and busy at the same time. So, I take shortcuts: I try to gauge market sentiment, watch what the big players are doing, and ride along with them. I’m sure they’re doing all the hard work—running laborious calculations and acting on them. My strategy is to watch the charts and volumes, get a sense of the market, and do the bare minimum, lol.

We all take shortcuts, don’t we? When you bought your car, TV, or computer, I bet you didn’t download the datasheets or analyze the intricate details of each component’s performance. You likely just asked around or checked online, trusting that others had already done the heavy lifting—or simply because they were using those products themselves.

Of course, this method has its flaws. The people you’re polling might be relying on polls themselves, and the whole cycle could be based on a baseless rumor or even manipulation, lol. This is a major problem with technical analysis.

Sorry for the long epistle!

Thanks bro for the compliment. It was not easy at all for me but i know i had no choice nor option than to know it and keep going forward. No other option.
When i joined the group early last year, i tried contacting some good monikers here privately to guide and mentor me but they declined and told me to say whatever i want to say here publicly. I wasn't too comfortable exposing myself too much and i understand their fears too, we have to be very careful with kidnappers and scammers in today's nigeria.
So i took the expensive route of self-education and self-reliance. It has always helped me. I worked in an industry full of expats and God bless you, you are not on your A-game, they will mock you and write you off to company that you know nothing. So it is in your best effort to read, read and read manuals, books, online to operate most equipment because the whites especially Ukrainians and Russians won't show you ( especially a black boy they are eager to sack before).
Spent close to $1,000 on courses, videos, tutorials, assignments, YouTube videos too etc and have seen so much improvement in my stock analyzing.

The job you are doing here now reminds me of those good old days of the defunct stock market Nigeria (SMN) . You can't analyze too much, the deeper you dig the better you understand.
I personally appreciate those who take their time to analyze and scrutinize company financial reports.

Exactly bro.
The deeper you dig, the better you become.
There are stocks i bought early last year have sold off now as i get better, when i started seeing the flaws in them.
I am gradually rebalancing my portfolio

Me, I don't know Oo.

All I know is from that article, the calculation method to arrive at it has changed a bit.

The person I quoted loves working with NBS numbers and methods.

A single sentence that says next to nothing about the exact potential in Chams I refer to led you to these conclusions my disclaimer notwithstanding?

It was meant figuratively. (There's a saying, 'If you put lipstick on a pig, it's still a pig.') I have nothing against Chams personally, and I think I've been balanced in my comments on the stock.

But their numbers don't lie. It's a 20% gross margin business. If you walk out of your house, you'll pass by many businesses with better fundamentals. Tech companies traditionally have margins exceeding 40% (hardware) or 80% (software).

And it's not Moniepoint.

Unfortunately, I can't seem to find a justification for engaging further on Chams and on said potential. To what end I asked myself? If you read my initial post but didn't seek to understand the first time, what is the guarantee you will see my perspective no matter how hard I shalaye. cheesy

I can't match your energy today. cheesy Chams na pig abeg.

* No comparisons mentioned.
* Clear disclosure including that Chams was on my watch list, not held yet and not being recommended.
* Didn't say I was going to buy.
* No mention of any short term rally.
* Didn't equate potential to Moniepoint. That was your interpretation. I had addressable market potential in mind and didn't suggest Chams was going to attain such valuation.

Ok, I took the bait....haha. So like I mentioned in my initial post, I am still doing DD. In fact, I'm yet to study the company as a whole. Something I must do before I consider buying except I just want to Jijo.

I was not impressed with their Q3 24 result despite the YOY growth in metrics but I have been studying the INDUSTRY they operate in.

My reference to Moneypoint was because they have virtually the same licences to conduct the nature of business Moniepoint does. However, does Chams' management see and understand this market? Do they have plans to tap into the potential in this market? They have been around for a while so what is their problem?

Again the market potential is massive and it is still at a nascent stage in Nigeria and Africa at large. Transaction switching, mobile banking, fintech solutions etc

There are opportunities for growth so Chams remains on my watchlist as per my initial post. Not suggesting Chams is going to a $1B valuation but highlighting the market potential if they get it right in the fintech space.

By the way, I'm really intrigued by the growth Moniepoint has experienced since inception. So I ask what did they do so well? What is spurring their growth etc. One of the founders happen to be someone close to home .......family friend, Staff school, Odogbolu, Ibadan ati bebelo.

Finally, one key market announcement that provides a clear direction of where management is headed or indicative positioning signalling business intention is what the market needs. I alluded to this in my very first post on Chams.
