Same here.. But they're not done with Sept 2nd, as shown on their website. My guess is they have too many backlogs to clear. But the approval % isn't encouraging at all.

Hello guys, this is my first time commenting on Nairaland. I will really love to get as much help as I can get because this matter is of importance to me.
I intend to travel to Ireland next year for my masters.
I'll like to know the steps and breakdown expenses. My dad is late and my mum cannot afford to be my sponsor. I am also not that financially buoyant to sponsor myself.
Let's assume I get a sponsor who lives in the US but we are not related in anyway or just a family friend, will that work?
Let's also assume that I'm also able to pay 50% of my tuition as required by my school to enable me process the visa.
Let's also assume that I get €10,000 euro in edubond and a bank statement showing POF of 20m closing balance (backdating microfinance account).

What are my chances of getting an approval?
What more can I do to increase my chances of getting an approval?
Thank you so much for your help guys.

To Ace your Duolingo test visit YouTube, watch Duolingo test videos from (last minute English) he is a good tutor, also download DET app practice as much as you can, Secondly pls get a WiFi for your test, make sure the internet connection is stable, because once the internet connection is bad your exam page can close up half way and you'll need to start all over again it can be tiring n frustrating.. Goodluck
I wrote Duolingo 4 times before I was able to get a result.
They canceled my exam, three times with flimsy excuses.

Hello everyone,
I am planning to study in Ireland and I need some guidance on the visa application
My current situation:
1. I have accepted an offer.
2. I would have paid full tuition by May
3. Planning to apply for visa in early June
4. I work remotely and my salary is paid through wise
5. …because Wise is not available in Nigeria I opened my account with a family friends UK address (if i download my statement, it carries his UK address)
6. My earnings between Jan and Mar would go into paying a fraction of my school fees( direct transfer)
7. My remainder earnings will be left in the account as my savings (a total (€3,000 in Wise account)
8. I will still have the remote job when in Ireland. Do you think I should call this out in my application to further support my financial circumstance?
9. My sister is my sponsor. Would you advise she transfers the naira equivalent of €10,000 in my Naira savings account a month before I apply?
In addition to the below, what else will she need to provide?
- A sponsorship letter
- Her bank statements showing the source of funds
- Proof of relationship (birth certificates)
- payslips

Would appreciate your guidance.

Thank you Mr Segunagagu for this thread it really helped me to gather some relevant information. Let us keep updating it so information seekers like me will benefit. Let's lend a helping hand, it really goes along way. When going for your appointment in VFS
1. Photocopies of ALL your passport pages is needed ( including the empty leaflets) including old and new
2. Questionnaire from VFS ( I don't know where to get it from maybe it's on their site)
3. Make 2 copies of your AVANT and application forms.
Note: if you don't have all these then have money because you will pay for it exorbitantly at VFS. I wish I knew before hand
Maybe policies will change in the years to come
Here's a check list for students from VFS. I hope this helps someone
