Fair point, but bank managers don't have three heads. Can you try and guess which types of investments they'll deploy the new capital to? And if these juicy investment opportunities were always there for the taking, why then didn't the banks just raise capital on their own to go after the opportunities? STOCKPICK: |

HesInMe:Bros, remember that in almost every clime, the government gives/sets the direction for the investors and companies to align. This helps them - companies/investors to avoid any issues or problems with those in government - who most of the times are very selfish ![]() |

Our politicians are very intelligent men, a lot of them schooled abroad. If they could shut down crypto they will have done it. I mean we all know they tried to shut down twitter. Let me tell you why crypto is the key to Africas economic growth. Firstly let’s look at how America and china grew 1. The key to economic growth is rooted in production of value. Today china has over 239billion trade surplus with Europe. Which means china made 239billion from Europe after subtracting what they imported from Europe. Now to create value you have to create something the other nations will buy. It could be software. American is exporting google to the rest of the world. 2. to create this value you need money. This money is created or printed by the government and given to banks who the loan this money to small medium and large businesses. 3. The masses then get this money through jobs. Now let me tell you where Nigeria and Africa’s economic system is broken before we go to solutions. 1. Africa does not create much value because there are not enough businesses exporting something that the world needs 2. The reason there is not enough businesses creating global value is because the government is not printing money for everyone. They print, give it to banks and banks loan it to only big businesses like dangote and the likes. How many billions of nairas go to medium and small businesses. I’m every developed economy more money goes to these guys and the big businesses get the least. But the reverse is the case for us 3. the citizens don’t get any of this printed money because the businesses are not funded and then there are fewer low paying jobs for them. Now you can see the error in our system |

Without being sentimental, I disagree with your perspective. From the article, it's stated that the qualifications for operator status are financial&technical capacity. As shareholders of OandO, we have no idea of the true state of the organization's financial standing. So there is a high possibility that the presidential phones in Aso Villa and Palácio da Cidade Alta had a recent deal-clinching connection ![]() For context, read this article: https://thenationonlineng.net/how-joao-lourenco-makes-angola-dependent-on-west-through-questionable-schemes/ mikeapollo:

IyaTola:Lol, what a confusing post this is! First, you whet our appetite with the promise of explaining how crypto will benefit Africa's economic growth, but then you veer in a completely different direction midway. You also erroneously single out funding as the sole issue hindering Africa's productivity. This aligns perfectly with the saying, "Many people are roaming, but only a few are mad." |

Of course, it's OANDO! It's time for NSEMPA to start looking for what is not lost. KarlTom: |

This KON-13 Block had Serinus Energy as the preferred bidder for 55% in January 2024. Today OandO Energy is the designated operator of 45%. The remaining 10% is "still available for award". What happened between January 2024 and January 2025 ![]() Stay tuned... ![]() GeeKudi: |

KarlTom:It is clearly stated in the article that the tender was made public (to the people of Angola) on May24, 2024 and the bidding was held on September 3, 2024. So where is the so called winning bid of Jan 2024 coming from? We don start again oooo.. The way it is going, even if Wale should go many rounds to impregnate someone right now, some people would say the semen is from Aso Rock! Oando has this cross or burden to carry fr a long time. |

Like I stated earlier, I am dropping fact without sentiments. (I am heavy in OandO so don't see my take as trying to put down OJT or OandO). This is LSE announcement of Serinus Energy (SENX) in January 2024. https://www.londonstockexchange.com/news-article/SENX/participation-in-onshore-angola-licence-round/16299502 Note the original dates ![]() mikeapollo: |

| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by GeeKudi: 9:56pm On Jan 19, 2025 |
It seems practically impossible for this to happen. Would the company be paying for those shares as a form of shares buy back? If they have all that money, why would they be talking of raising capital to settle debts and to run the company? Sunrisepebble: |
