The banks, I’m yet to do my analysis for the others but I think the dilution effect is not that bad for Zenith. They’re adding 8bn shares which are not going to be alloted for the FY results. Based on 2024 9M annualized, FY EPS without dilution is about N35. And I’m hoping to see a very strong final dividend

When we factor in dilution, it is N28 based on the same annualized 9M results. I’d like to think they’d grow profit next year also
Yes, I believe most of the banks will dish out dividends based on old OS, that is, before the new shares are listed.

What do you think, Mypeace? You know the banks well, since SMN days. And you love dividends no be small grin

My brother, stop personalizing and turning every post/comment into a ding-dong affair.
Interestingly, you were the one that tagged and responded to my earlier post, and you made your points. I did not take offence or attack you in my response. Now, see what you have typed. Totally unnecessary innuendoes.!

I said I suspected media houses of using stale, old news (e.g. of Q3 results) to fill-in potential empty spaces in their newspapers and websites.
Me suspecting if some people may be suppressing the news in order to mop up more shares, is purely guess work.
We all do some guess work in most of the analyses and commentaries here. . It only shows that there is some level of ''uncertainty'' or ''unknowns'' in the decisions or actions that we make/take, even in investing or investment considerations and permutations. It does not give anybody (or you) the right to talk down or judge anyone's sense of judgement or reasoning.

It baffles me how you could jump, turn into a ''coach'' and arrogate to yourself the fallacy of telling or ''advising'' people (me) on what to put their(my) mind on or off; talking about hazard to others if driving and all the crap!

If you care to know, my expected exit price for Oando (in case the buy-out happens) was around N10-N15. Hence, I am not under any pressure to sell or buy, even if it gets to N100 or crashes to N30. I would have sold long ago if I were to be under any anxiety or pressure.

So, I am cool, calm and collected just as many people here on this platform are.
Sometimes, we just give out a few info about our portfolios on this platform, just to share info, motivate and encourage ourselves and others, but some people would always have a different mind.
If my ''several million units'' is offensive to you (similar to how @bovali's N300m profit was), I cannot help it. No pun intended. I made that comment in context, (in response to your comment that people who bought it low are selling), not to infuriate or trigger the angst of anyone who may be hurt or angered for no reason.
So now you're making it about jealousy? I shared my opinion as a brother, based on the vibes I got from your numerous posts about Oando—just as you acknowledged in your post, saying, "We all do some guesswork in most of the analyses and commentaries here."

It's okay; let’s analyze your accusations in more detail. Why would I be jealous of your "several million units?" I don’t even know you, nor do I know if you’re being truthful (not that I care). Let’s assume I do know you—what would it take from me? Would it reduce my own units? I feel you’re the one painfully holding on to past discussions here. What does my exchange with Bovali have to do with you? And what if I actually end up having more units than you?

My brother, I am not in a contest with you. I simply shared what I felt in my heart as a concerned Nairaland member.

We can all find a place to hide under the faceless blanket of NL.
However, everyone knows where they truly stand.

Personally, I am beginning to see like the elders.

To all 'newbies', be very careful. Not all that glitters is gold... wink

This keeps me strong against the numerous detractors in this thread...

If--- by Rudyard Kipling

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies,
Or being hated, don’t give way to hating,
And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise:

If you can dream—and not make dreams your master;
If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build ’em up with worn-out tools:

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: ‘Hold on!’

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings—nor lose the common touch,

If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!

I would agree with you a 1,000,000% percent on the content, context and tone of this your post.
If the earlier post was like this, I would NEVER have said ANYTHING in response.

Let us grant each other full respect and the benefit of the doubts that we are all reasonable and know what we are doing.

I will now apologize to you (unapologetically) if you feel my response was below the belt. I never intended to do that. So, I am sorry if you feel somehow! Ain't no proud to apologize or even beg!

But why would you say my ''several million units'' was affecting my judgement? It is not nice to say so. Abeg.
Why would you say I might constitute hazard to other people if I drive or do a sensitive job? It is not nice to say so. Abeg.

Once again, I withdraw any word that I might have used that sounded offensive and below the belt.

Let us encourage ourselves. I did not lose my mind or judgement in 2008-2010 when all my investments evaporated into thin air. It is not now that I can afford to tie wrapper for waist on top of balcony early in the morning, put chewing stick in my mouth and spit out like Yoruba village landlord that I would now lose my judgement on top of Oando that I bought for peanuts and is not doing badly!

Peace unto you and everyone!

Okay, I’m glad Oando worked out well for you. I was just concerned about the way you posted about it. Sorry to hear about your losses in 2008–2010—unfortunately, things like that happen. I have nothing against you or anyone on this thread. After all, we’re just a bunch of good chaps, aren’t we?

I’m invested in Oando too, and I hope it continues to rise as it’s meant to. God bless this forum, and God bless Nigeria!

Oando will vomit the billions to you too, for you to enjoy. Just remember to invite me when you ''open'' your mansion for Lekki, Abuja, PH, Anambra, Enugu etc.

The funny thing is that Nairaland is a faceless forum. Your billions, whether real or imaginary, don’t define you here. Unless Nairaland starts offering merchandise you can buy to showcase your social status outside the forum, we are all the same here. In fact, your value is measured solely by the quality of your contributions. Even if you own the entirety of Lekki Phase 1 and 2, it’s irrelevant here. Know this, and find peace.

This shouldn’t be difficult for anyone with minimal home training to do!

Show me where I’ve ever used derogatory words—I can’t even remember the last time I used a negative word. If you misconstrue my words, that’s a different matter. Perhaps you don’t like being challenged, but how is that my fault? Maybe you’re just used to being surrounded by “yes sir” people outside.

What's it's latest EPS?

With your level of understanding, I expected you to know that my admonition was not specifically directed at you alone but a general one at everyone.
You alluded to NL being a faceless public forum where, practically, nothing matters and I added that in spite of this, as people who would not come off as social misfits, we should understand the importance of decorum in our social engagements even on such a platform as this.

Now you’re stretching my post beyond its intended meaning. I never said that "nothing should matter", implying that you could come here and market drugs or traffic children?
