Good morning everyone. I tried deposited money into my Stanbic stockbroking account since Thursday but it's yet to reflect there. I called their customer about it yesterday and the attendant confirmed the payment but I still can't see anything as at this moment. This is my first time and I wonder if this is how difficult it is to fund on the platform. Kindly help please on how to expedite the process. |

This is a side-by-side comparison of Presco and DangCem. I aimed to use the moving data points to gain insights quickly and efficiently in terms of time and effort. Presco has outperformed DangCem, with nearly three times the compounded growth in earnings per share. Unsurprisingly, Presco also performed better across all margins. In the "droop section," I analyzed the actual portion of revenue allocated to different levels of the business, which collectively add up to 100% of revenue. Presco allocated a slightly higher portion of its revenue to interest and taxes. Could this indicate that DangCem is more effective at managing its tax obligations? At one point, Presco almost doubled its revenue—can you believe that? I think I missed the CAGR for equity growth line, which could be a useful metric to include here. Note that "droop" is just a term I borrowed because it sounds so good. It’s originally related to running generators in parallel and having them share the load based on each generator's capacity.

You need an element of all 3 to be honest. I don’t see why someone should limit themselves to just one aspect. I’m a huge fan of Buffet & Charlie Munger, their videos always come up as suggestions, and I’ve watched many of them over the last couple of months, I like their philosophy, not just on the market but for life in general. Doesn’t mean that’s the only way to play the market, one can argue his buy and hold strategy of value businesses is too conservative. Someone like him would have never invested in a Tesla or Nvidia which have returned 1000%+ over the last 5 years. For those familiar with the US market, I’m an even bigger fan of Stanley Druckenmiller, who has a different position, he’d sell a losing position and plays the market over 12-18 months. Both billionaires with different strategies. One thing that they have in common that I’ve picked from them and it’s working so far is that they don’t believe in the famous “diversify your risk” saying. They are big believers in taking fewer bets but going in big in what they believe in Picky1: |

Sunrisepebble:You are correct....however, Warren and Charlie will never chase a stock when everyone is rushing in, they wait for it to come to them after extensive analysis/due diligence! They enter at the ground floor as in planting the seed-tree and watching it grow, pruning it (profit taking) at intervals and watering it at dry season (buying back when traders/speculators are selling). Bros, the name of the game is patience - do we have it? Anyways, you will be surprised that some people here (may be you) are in high price stocks but their BE price in some cases are almost nothing!!! ![]() |

Picky1:Because of their past experience some investors have vowed not to go near the stock market again . Some investors looking for quick money then died of strokes, high blood pressure and other sicknesses due to the losses they suffered Reason why it is good to invest in what you understand and can easily explain how the business makes money and how it will continue to grow |

I remember the retiree wno turned N1 million to N20 million within few months after attending a seminar in 2005 using the buy and sell signals of the seminar organizers. Until village people pushed Baba to sell his house, used the proceeds and N20 million profit to invest in highly speculative positions and private placements. The shock of getting trapped and losing all his capital made the old man to develop stroke in 2008 and died 4 years after almost penniless |

emmanuelewumi:While it is best practice to invest in stocks that you understand their business, but that doesn't guarantee success. Remember that debt almost swallowed WAPCO and Flour mills before they were able to turn things around (and this was after they did several right issues). Same goes for the very popular Dangote Flour. They could have gone under by now. |

mendes911:But you understand how they make money, the percentage of their operating profit when compared to their total debt to know if their profit can service the debts. Are the debts growing, margins getting thinner, efficiency reducing etc. |

Good day, everyone, I understand that FCMB public offer shares have been allotted. How can I check my allotment? Also, is there any timeline for when Fidelity Bank shares will be allotted? |
