bastardson:In Morgan, the fund settles immediately in your available balance. Since you only see it in Net Balance, it means your account is in DCS mode (Direct Cash Settlement). Contact Morgan to forward the DCS form to you, fill appropriate section and tick "NO" in the column where you're asked if you want Direct Cash Settlement. We've discussed about this in countless times here. Ask for more guidance from Morgan officer that attends to you via mail. |

emmaodet:The most disheartening about this report is that Total released a Q4/24 forecast of revenue 238b, actual is 248b which is more than the forecasted. Net profit forecasted is 5.69b, actual is just 399m. A whooping 93% downside. Forecasted eps of #16.7, actual is #1.17

From between N35-40 i'll start taking profit, I will leave the rest to see where the stock will peak. Multinational Unilever is "fairly priced" doing N2.77 EPS for FY. Our local champion Vitafoam is doing N2.21 EPS for Q1. We wait and see ![]() Xidget: |

** What we are currently witnessing in market, the bearish period, is expected and typical of this period.......Since Unaudited results are trooping in. ** Punishment for disappointed results and pat-at-the-back or stabilized share price for the good results. ** Sometimes along the line, good ones may even share from the punishment of bad ones ** Overall, Mr. Market will not punish these stocks forever........but may bring it to a point where it could present bargain entry. ** Individual's investment philosophy and objectives will come into play here..... ** Patience, re-strategizing may be required in some instance to prevent loss of revenue. ** It is well. ** Rantings not well organized, just thinking out loud about current market situation. 😊 ![]() |

emmaodet:I don't think it's a problem on its own—this is their business model. It relies on high revenue volume to offset very low profit margins, with costs exceeding 94% of revenue. They also operate with heavy leverage, as liabilities are six times equity. The interest margin appears low due to the high turnover, but as you mentioned, drop in revenue could create serious issues. Their strategy is high risk, high reward, and based on your observations, this seems to be a common approach with similar businesses. ![]() |

Petroleum marketing is actually a very low margin business. What kept these companies going are the side wuru wuru of import of substandard products ar inflated prices for NNPC, inflated subsidy payments, bridging charges, high artificial prices through the creation of scarcity, and the chain of black marketing petrol stations along interstate highways. All these sources of arbitrage have now been blocked, except the import one, which they are sustaining, by fire by force, with the collusion of their NNPC partners. So, I expect that the fundamentals of companies like MRS, Total, Conoil and Eterna will not support their current market prices going forwards unless they diversify. emmaodet: |
