Today i got the rude shock of my life when i tracked someone who i was arguing with on nairaland Only for me to dig up his past posts and locate his facebook account Comrades, i was soooo weak when i saw that this boy is still in SS1😖😖 Then it dawn on me that i know a 13 year old that has android phone. The fact is that over 70% of active nairalanders today are kids and teenagers. The issue here is not even about their age but their level of IQ which is very low. 8 out of every 10 comments you read on nairaland nowadays are off point, senseless and unnecessarily abusive, most especially in politics section. In order to maintain one's sanity, it is better to only read news on this forum and skip the comments. 6 Likes |

richiemcgold:i will never forget last christmas when i went to village. In church i saw a small boy with andriod phone. The phone big pass him hand  and looked weird when he put it in his pocket and started bouncing out.The truth is kids these days are 90% more access to phone and internet than us during our own time. I call bs! I have seen adults with very little common sense who don't know their left from rights and I have seen brilliant teenagers as well. The tendency to always class people based on age is absolutely laughable. Elders and adults have been running Nigeria aground since independence. What is the outcome? Nnamdipapa:Ageism is a problem in Nigeria and you are spot on. What's interesting is that there is a popular character here that I will never argue with and this person is not a kid. People like them have come and gone over the years. We all know who I am talking about. Has nothing to do with age. The owner has not presented himself in the best manner on some issues, has nothing to do with age. I beg to differ OP. Everyone is wise until they open their mouths, let's know what is in people's mind so we don't give them automatic promotion they don't deserve. papyjaypaul:I encourage my kids to argue with me, to disagree and give me valid reasons for their positions, I don't just shut them down like op is trying to do. If they are rude, I correct them because they are kids, infact, I woke up this morning to find my wife in a heated argument about international politics and race with my eldest daughter. Just because someone is older doesn't mean the person has sense. If your position is logical and rational, debate accordingly. The belief that you or your comments shouldn't be questioned simply because you're older is baseless. It's the Internet - a public space.
