There's no required age or deadline. Parents often do it soon after the birth of their child.


The case of Ibrahim seems to be that of a convert, as it happened in the earlier days of islam.

It's an arab cultural practice that flowed into the religion; which is why it's criteria seems lax and vague. It's like drinking water, very important yet not much emphasis in day to day interactions because it's seen as common sense and widely known.

I never mentioned Northerners, i said Hausa.

I know minority tribes in North and their difference between them and Hausa. Fulani, Hausa and Kanuri are the core muslim tribes in the North.

Why would you say alot of hausa are muslims? Middle belt or North Central are not Hausa.

When i say hausa am referring to Kano, Katsina, Northern Kaduna, Sokoto, Zamfara, Jigawa and Kebbi state.

Howmany indigeneous Christians can you find in above states?
