But these shares belong to current shareholders TODAY. Is it ok for a company to hold shares belonging to shareholders and be giving them back in tranches over 3 years? This is different from dividends for which the company has to earn profits annually. Anyway these are my views, at the risk of being called an Oando hater by the powers that be here. For Access what I heard is that Coronation is unbundling shares. They used one Nominee account to apply for the shares and so now they’re distributing them

Does the likes of Ftncocoa, tantalizer have anything incubating yet they've pumped in their own time. In my books, ellahlakes is for both investment and trading.

The number of units to be distributed in Tranche 1 is the same number of units to be distributed in Tranche 2, so if 1unit for 12units held applies to Tranche 1 then it also should apply for Tranche 2.

From your calculated estimation, if 300k units gets 25k units which amounts to #1.875m at #75/unit. Thus 1,875,000 (assumed dividend) ÷ 300,000 (share units held) = #6.25 per share unit and not #3 per share.

On second look, this will definitely cause a rally in OandO SP.

Tranche 1
Lagbaja has 300,000 units by QD 1(Feb 14). SP =₦75. Ratio is 1:12.
Lagbaja gets 25,000units (equivalent of ₦1,875,000). That's about ₦3 per share

Tranche 2
Lagbaja now has 325,000 units by QD 2(June 30). SP =₦85. Ratio is 1:15.
Lagbaja gets 21,666units (equivalent of ₦1,841,610). That's about ₦4 per share

Lagbaja now has 346,666units by QD 3 + ₦7 'DIV' in 2025...

Classic case of tying down and rewarding 'loyalists'

Please consider the following calculation:

The remaining outstanding shares currently is 8, 152,370,477
Currently to be shared in tranche 1 is 641,856,301
This correspond to 1 in 12.7 of current outstanding shares.
After the Tranche 1, the OS becomes 8,794,226,778 .
Tranche 2 number of shares to share is still 641,856,301
However, this has become 1 in 13.7
However, if you didn't sell any of the shares after Trache 1....the numbers of shares that you woulld get should be same as what you got in Tranche 1

But since the company has chosen to use 1 new share for every 12 shares instead of 12.7 shares...the ratio they will use in the Tranche 2 might be different as well.

After the Tranche 2 and given that you did not sell or buy any, then your OANDO shares must have increased by 15.7% of what you started with.

With the intensity of the commendations received here by PRESCO on account of its all ramifications fantastic results, and the pledge by our heavyweights here to accumulate it, you would have thought that PRESCO would be in the neighborhood of N1200 by now, but here we are still battling to break out.
