As it stands now.I will bet on oando doing 100% this yr than any stock above #500 doing 100%.I say as I see it.I have no attachment to any stock as I have different stock in my portfolio. Wale is doing well in his actions for sometimes now.i will rather bet on #70 than many big companies.
With this redistribution. It is good dividend for the next three yrs as I expect good appreciation. For the negative shareholders fund. The company will overcome it as oil production increases with increased revenue. I doubt they will come for any fund raising. If they should be coming for that. The likes of sugar, mtn etc should equally be coming for that but I don't think is going to happen...
My street sense..
The only worry on oando now is crash in the price of oil besides that nothing dey happen
Hope analysis grin grin

Lol.
It was not on my list before but i saw a ratio that caught my eyes with the stock.
The Capex/OCF of 20% per year from 2022 to 2024 is awesome. I want 20% or less.
While FCF numbers inform us about the total number of excess cash, the capex to cash flow ratio tells us how efficiently FCF was generated.
What you want as an investor is a capital-light company that requires little money to run and spits out a disproportionately high amount of cash on regular basis.
So using this metric, it takes 20% of capital expenditure in Transpower to consistently generate 80% cashflow for us.
Analyzing stock histroy, there is a connection between low capital expenditure and good share performance.
A company should be financially flexible to handle surprises that arise sooner or later like - Inflation, bad economy, new competition, the need for expansion.
Capex/OCF give investors a quick overview about what matters: How much cash is needed to generate X amount of cash.
The less, the better.
In Transpower, it takes 2b in capital expenditure to generate 8b in FCF as an example
What is the capex/Revenue, is it more than 5%

What percentage of net profit was converted to free cash flow, it should be 80% and above

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Sunrisepebble: 1:57pm On Feb 06, 2025
My research did not take that far to be honest. I only forecasted the 4 quarters for this year (before they released Q1). So my view on the stock is over the next 12 months
Because I looked at the numbers on a QonQ basis this was what I forecasted:
Q1- N2.02 (vs N2.21 actual)
Q2- N2.43
Q3. N2.69
Q4-N2.97
Revenue growth QonQ for the last 8 quarters on average was about 11%, so I applied that to my forecast , they ended up beating that and grew revenue by 21% QonQ in Q1

Historical PAT margin QonQ for last 8 quarters was about 9.56%, so I applied it to my forecast for the next 4 quarters, in Q1 they slightly beat it marginally with 10.35%.

With a more conservative forecast of 5% applied to the revenue growth QonQ. Im still arriving at a FY EPS of N9.5. Dividend payout has been about 45-50% for them historically. They could pay between N3-4 for the FY based on that FY EPS

My analysis could be totally wrong but I'm sticking with it

Capex to Revenue is 2.8%, improving from 3.4% and 4.8% in 2023 and 2022.

Percentage of net income to FCF = 57.8%. This number is reducing from 66.6% and 98.8% from 2023 and 2022.

The debt is middium to long time. Are they servicing the debt...yes
Is there possibility of default..no
Can they pay back from assets/revenue over time...yes
Is the debt affecting level of profit..yes
Is something still left after cost of finance...yes
This answers are more positive to me in my street sense..
The only fear for me now is oil price should not drop.I am buying my third batch. I don't need validation oh..After all alhaji failed me in sugar.
