So you think it is right for someone's father to be insulted because of a ''common ridiculous rhetoric''?

''Gate-crash'' in this context is neither an accusation nor an insult. It only means that some has benefited by exploiting the weakness or loopholes in the system.
Many have ''gate-crashed'' into event centers, lecture halls, commuter buses, theatre halls etc. when the security system at the entrance/gate failed! The people may later pay the right entry fees but, this time, they are already seated inside the hall or bus.
In this particular instance, ''gate-crashing'' means that he became president but he did not win 50%+ of total votes cast because the weaknesses in the Nigerian electoral system allowed it (the normal thing is to win 50%+ of the votes as obtains globally).
But the reaction was to insult my father who did not campaign for any public election, and who has not implemented any policy that has inflicted so much economic hardships on the innocent poor masses of this nation, and even on the capital market where we seek to invest and make some money.
Telling your papa to gate-crash is not an insult, my own papa want to gate-crash too by your definition but is not easy. I want to win less than 50% and become a member of house of representative not even a president. You have right to criticise government policies and I have right to believe in the policies and defend them where is necessary. You have right to hate Tinubu and I have right to love him with all my hrt. God bless PBAT and may the policies continue to yield positive results.

I got your point and you are right. In my own view, if Wale decides to corner the entire shares to himself or cronies, it may eventually lead to litigation from those that initially owns it. Therefore, the best way to do it, is to get the shareholders approval through AGM. Afterall, getting half bread with peace of mind is better than eating the whole bread and thereafter going through persecutions.
The shares were surrendered to Oando as part of settlement for debts owed by the owners, and the agreement was legally signed and sealed, so they cannot sue.
But I think some of the debts were connected to Wale himself. .

Did I mention your papa or father in what I typed? Is this how you debate in a public forum?
What value/virtue do you place on mentioning ''your papa'', ''your father'' in a public forum?

Quite sad the kind of engagements we are seeing here.
Ya papa. Ya mama, etc etc
We are above stuff like that.

Afriprud touched N31 today. If I had put that my 5M naira then in Nov 2024, now it will be more than 17M naira.

It is well.

Aliko is focused on the refinery for now, he needs to get it on a solid footing before other business can get his attention

I agree with your theory. A score of 30% is better than 10%, but both are still failures!

The renewed increased oil production is largely due to improved policy, regulatory and legal frameworks that govern the oil sector as contained in the Petroleum Industry Act, 2021 which was promulgated by the Buhari govt (the same APC govt), even though it had been a draft bill for many years. Same with the rehabilitation of the PH refinery.

Buhari is APC, so my point is not based on political party affiliation, but facts.
PIA was signed in August 2021, yet OP dwindled to 900 BPD in June 2023 from 1.24M in August 2021. Were the players in the sector in ghost mode? Same OP is currently 1.485M (Dec 2024). There are definitely other areas of the economy begging for attention, but in the O&G sector, it's been consistent progress since PBAT came in. That is a fact, also connected to why we are all here. A significant drop in OP will result in a red market, and you of all people should know this. Shalom!

The oil and gas sector is not a ''wait-and-get'' sector. It is a capital intensive one with long gestation period. It is also a very volatile sector.
The benefits of govt policy decisions may not reflect immediately.
Some of the benefits of what this current government is doing may not reflect now. It may take several years to materialize. Similarly, some of the improvements we see today are not the handiwork of this current govt.
But the most critical instrument of change in the industry has been the PIA. It has attracted more investors to the sector because of the clear operational and legal frameworks e.g. the establishment of regulators NMDPRA, NUPRC, domestic crude obligation, product pricing, industry dispute resolution etc. are guided by the PIA 2021. And these are some of the major factors that attract investments to the sector.

If companies's products go high, how their stock go go low?
