toyeoye:My name is Oliver Twist Please, create a dummy Portfolio View, on the website, in addition to the Market View that exists now, whereby one can create a dummy Portfolio, and see only stocks he or she has selected into that Portfolio. In essence, I can click on the Market View tab, to view all stocks in the market, or I can click on the Portfolio View tab, to view only stocks I have selected into the Portfolio. |

Is Oando issuing the bonus shares valentine day? Countdown to Valentine's Day... |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by mikeapollo: 6:59am On Feb 08, 2025 |
designking:No. The shares will be issued some few days after Feb14. But your name and units of shares must be in the register of shareholders (members) on that day (Feb14) before you can benefit from the distribution. Feb14 is the cut off date. If you wait and sell your shares on Feb15 or Feb16 etc you will still benefit . |

mikeapollo:No selling. Oando is the only stock with a lot of games. They are very intentional about their share prices and shareholders. Oando was the best performing share in 2024 and I see them repeating that same feat in 2025. I currently have 250,000 Oando shares and I will try make it 300,000 before February 14th. |

Until the rate of inflation slows down considerably, money market and fixed income securities still dey primary school compared to the figures these companies are churning for investors in terms of returns on stock prices. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by mikeapollo: 10:10am On Feb 08, 2025 |
sophy17:That is what usually happens in the capital market when such cut off days are announced(e.g. dividend payments), unless something unusual happens. Even if the issuance is done one month, it would be 30 days (still few days )The doubt here is probably because of Oando's antecedents but the registrars usually credit shareholders accounts a few days after the cut off date |

It’s not shocking me at all. It’s my oga I normally get information from that shined my eye to it. He said everytime he markets it to his friends, they think he wants to use them to exit his position. But I sat down to look at the numbers and saw a severely undervalued business there ololufemi: |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Raider76: 10:42am On Feb 08, 2025 |
In the case of dividend the exact payment date is usually specified in the announcement. In this case it is almost same as bonus. No allotment date was specified so it is guess work at this point. mikeapollo: |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by mikeapollo: 10:51am On Feb 08, 2025 |
Raider76:You are right. However, actual Bonus is even more complicated because it would involve issuance of new shares with a lot of administrative processes. But this is to redistribute pre-existing shares that have been already warehoused, which is less complicated than a bonus. |

essentialone:I hear you loud and clear! You’re not the first to mention this—just yesterday, I got similar suggestions on social media. I was initially thinking of adding a wishlist in the next update, which would serve as a tool for tracking stocks or assets of interest, even if you don’t own them yet. Definitely something to include for next updates, after taking a closer look on how to execute this seamlessly . Thanks for the usual great suggestion, Oliver Twist! 😂📊 |

SonofElElyonRet:Some people just don't just cease to amaze me with some of their comments on this platform. Wetin make dey carry the name of the Almighty dey put for stock market issue. My brother, The Almighty, is too great to be involved in things like stock market things which are creation of man. We should be mindful on how we involve His name in such pedestrian matters that he has delegated to man to deal with through gifts, ideas, thoughts, insights and revelations. The stock market is a creation of man and man is a creation of the Almighty. Same thing with money which many keep chasing endlessly. Whatever insights we need about the market or money, it is usually revealed by men such as our brethren here. The Almighty is the One who gives man the breath to see each beautiful day so that he can minister the gifts and creative ideas he has to the world. I do not claim any awards on this matter. Only He knows what tomorrow holds. Accolades needs to be given to OGG and Madam MCY, whom the Almighty blessed to share their insights publicly then to exit some stocks that had become stagnant and channel funds into the referenced ones. Please note that people cannot compare themselves or take the place of The Almighty, Creator of the heavens, earth, all things seen and unseen especially in the affairs of men and how they are gifted life, creative ideas, grace, favour, innovation and mercy. Shalom. 🙏🏽 |

SonofElElyonRet:My brother, you seem to be the one who lacks the proper comprehension, articulate skill and decorum to understand what you wrote yourself in every plausible way. I posted response to Baba Sunshine message about VitaFoam PLC, yet without using your brain and sense of decorum, you come jump enter dey post "You no be God wey know tomorrow. We only project and predict". Did I tell you I was the Almighty? Did I even tell you that I made the predictions? I just told Baba Sunshine the actions I took a few years ago to which I later revealed the individuals who encouraged such action in my subsequent post. You sef think am well when you don dey okay and read what you wrote again na. Do the statements "You no be God wey know tomorrow" and "Only God knows tomorrow" convey the same meaning to you or demand a subtle response? Anyway, I won't hold it against you as English no be our native language so i understand your challenge with some understanding what you documented there. Shalom brother. 😎 |

In a dramatic turn of events, a team of security agencies stormed the headquarters of Access Bank plc on Wednesday morning to execute a Bench Warrant issued by the Lagos High Court for the arrest of the bank’s CEO and Managing Director, Bolaji Agbede, and other senior officials. The arrest order came after the accused failed to appear in court as ordered in relation to a case involving serious charges of conspiracy, stealing, and attempted theft. The court order, handed down by Justice Ibironke Harrison of the Lagos High Court, followed a string of legal issues stemming from allegations of fraudulent conversion of property documents. Specifically, the case revolves around the conversion of title documents from MOB Integrated Services Limited in a complex loan arrangement involving Access Bank and other parties. The charges stem from a loan agreement in which Balmoral International Limited and its managing director, Adejare Adegbenro, received a N333 million loan from Diamond Bank (now Access Bank). As part of the loan conditions, MOB Integrated Services Limited offered their property at 40B Bourdillion Road, Ikoyi as collateral. However, without the knowledge or consent of MOB Integrated Services, Access Bank continued to provide additional facilities to Balmoral International, ultimately including the property as collateral for a separate, unrelated N1 billion credit facility. The fraudulent use of the property led to legal actions, and despite being duly served, Access Bank and its officials, including Bolaji Agbede, failed to appear in court for the January 20th arraignment. This failure prompted the court to issue a Bench Warrant, which led to Wednesday’s police operation at Access Bank’s headquarters. The police, led by an Assistant Commissioner of Police, arrived at the bank’s headquarters at noon on February 5, 2025, but were told that the CEO was in a meeting, and the Company Secretary was in London. After engaging with the bank’s legal officers, the police were assured that the defendants would appear at the next scheduled hearing, set for February 24, 2025. The Lagos State government filed a four-count charge against the bank, its CEO, and other individuals involved, including Adejare Adegbenro. The charges stem from fraudulent actions involving the unauthorized use of MOB Integrated Services’ property and an apparent attempt to cover up the fraudulent conversion of the property. The case, LD/24884C/2024 – The State of Lagos v. Adejare Adegbenro & Ors, is set for arraignment on February 24, 2025, as prosecutors continue to investigate the illegal dealings. This high-profile case highlights the ongoing battle against financial fraud and misconduct in Nigeria’s banking sector, and authorities remain vigilant in ensuring that those responsible face justice. |
