The Case Manager will use the OANDA exchange rate from the day you submit your visa application to determine whether you meet the financial requirements for your programme. However, for planning purposes, it is advisable to use the OANDA rate and incorporate a buffer to account for any fluctuations that may arise during the 28-day holding period.

If you feel you are social science inclined and intends to join the May/September/October cohorts, consider opting for a British Psychological Society accredited Msc Psychology (conversion), it is a Msc program for those who didn't study psychology at their undergraduate level.

Upon successful completion of the program, one would be granted the Graduate Membership of the British Psychological Society (GMBPsS) and would be eligible to apply for Assistant Psychologist roles in the UK and also in Ireland once the person also gets registered by the Psychological Society of Ireland, all the person need to apply, is to provide his/her GMBPsS number and 260 Euros and the processing time is within a month.

Once Psychological Society of Ireland grants their graduate membership (M.Ps.S.I), one will also be eligible to apply for jobs in Ireland that requires the graduate membership as the field of psychology is on Ireland's Critical Skills Occupations List.

Within the UK, there are so many pathways for one with a GMBPsS, once one can really prove he/she is grounded in the field of psychology required at that level. Na psychology give me my current government work for London......now on my second skilled work visa with more offers coming in.

My intake is may, I want to strategically plan my POF funding. Pre-CAS interview is on the 19th

Can I start funding now?

Firstly, before University of Wolverhampton can issue your CAS, you have to make the tuition deposit of £5000 and also submit you matured bank statement which will qualify you for the pre CAS interview.

In my own case, I got my CAS 4 weeks after my pre CAS interview for January intake and reason they gave is that the have lots of backlogs due to shortage of staff during holiday period. Therefore, I had my POF
for 2 months plus. Wish you all the best.

Thanks for your feedback, please I need more clarity on the issue of bank statement, since I am already scheduled for a pre-CAS interview on the 19th does that mean that rule has changed because I didn’t submit any bank statement to reach the interview stage.

I used to think student visa is always fast,
I mean, within a week one should have gotten a decision.

After your pre-CAS interview is successful, you will be prompted to submit your TB test result and your POF of 28days before your CAS is issued.
It might vary for different universities but that is as much as I know for a few ones..

Please I need urgent help, I received notification from VFS that my passport and notification of decision has been dispatched via courier since Friday last week, there’s no tracking number
Worst still, I’m yet to get any call or message from the courier company and my school deadline is fast approaching.
