Just how long should two people date or spend time together in a romantic relationship before getting married. My friends Dosh and Dare started dating since 2015, but Dosh is thinking something must be wrong with her for allowing this thing drag on for too long, and although they will be marrying this year she’s determined to make sure her own daughter will not date a guy for more than five years at most before they get married. Couldn't she just be somehow over-reacting or does she really have a genuine reason to be concerned?/ your response is highly appreciated |

SunShowAfrica:there are no RULES to it THE HOLY BOOK SHOWS US TO DO COURTSHIP WHEN WE ARE READY......... but naija and fallen economy and influence from the western world through movies and music shows us to START SO EARLY so we can be experienced much later. DATING FOR 10 YEARS DOESN'T MEAN IT WILL END IN MARRIAGE and even if it does....... DOESN'T MEAN THE MARRIAGE WILL BE GREAT. DATING FOR 10 MONTHS doesn't also mean they are WISE or they are perfect for each other like soul mates.... it also doesn't guarantee GOOD MARRIAGE. Life is experienced differently by everyone. NO TWO MARRIAGES WILL EVER BE THE SAME. Some will marry at 22 AND BY 38 be tired of each other and start cheating, some will marry at 35 and still cheat from 36years and on.... while other may marry at 18 and remain faithful as besties for the next 50 years THESE THINGS ARE INDIVIDUALISTIC. The lady should always put effort in knowing where a relationship is going. Once she knows its leading to marriage, she should just start her wifely duties from the dating-life. If she sees that the boy is no longer putting efforts again, and no good reasons from the boy to why the ship is not sailing, then she should quit it. |

SunShowAfrica:There are no rules and it is something that should have been clarified . For instance lets see after 6 or 12 months before getting married. Having waited that long means they both considered themselves " married already " don't tell me they don't have any kids ? Now, you mentioned daughter - they are already a couple - Live in couple. They could have just gone to the courts to legalize the thing but to share with the world - Marriage. |

SunShowAfrica:The reason why its taking that long is because they have already been making love and very likely staying under the same roof. I mean can you imagine staying apart ad paying rents or living in separate houses for 10 years . No way Jose !! At this point marriage isnt necessary - Just go to courts and have a few friends at a restaurant and celebrate. If they were not intimate 6 months they would have gotten married. |

Hey everyone, so I used to think dating apps were just full of people playing games, but then I stumbled upon date a granny while browsing late at night.
