The way we paint all women with one brush dey worry me as someone who hopes to marry a woman soon. Because if every woman is truly how we describe them in these jokes, then no be marriage person go find—na endurance race.

But I’d like to believe these generalizations are just stereotypes—like saying all Igbos are this or all Yorubas are that (with "this" and "that" usually being some bad trait). And we all know that’s not the case for every single person in any group. Yes, women get similarities, but human beings dey unique. Just as they come in different colours, shapes, and sizes, their wahala—or lack of it—also dey vary. Even twins wey comot from the same womb no dey always behave the same.

I want to believe that loyal, kind, supportive, generous and reasonable women exist. And I refuse to believe say my own destiny dey tied to shege pro max. If good women dey, the Divine—wey know how much I go appreciate am—go connect me with one when the time reach. And when that happens, I go hold her like last card on a broke day and never take her for granted.

That being said, I no go lie—it’s alarming how often I see the very traits we joke about in the women I’ve experienced. It makes posts like this hit close to home. Sometimes, e go be like say the pettiness wey OP talk about na factory setting, embedded inside their DNA. But deep down, I know say no be every woman be like that. If you know what men do for women just to keep them, then you ask yourself who are the real babies.

I have dated a mature girl as well. Anytime i offend her, she reminds me that she is my senior that i should at least respect her for that. She hate immature act.

How you will know that they are not as you thought is that they observe men well, once they sees you as immature in act or you don't have prestige as a man, they can't have anything serious with you apart from casual relationship or friendzone, no matter what you did for her, she will still dump you for mature guy when it's time for her to marry.
